Merry Christmas to all....sounds like everyone is having a great day!
Santa was good to us this year as well, but the biggest "HIT" is having a healthy family, including our parents. :santa:

This year....
DH: Weight bench/ Workout station, Air Soft Rifle (only to play with DS)
DD (13)- clothes, boots, money, gift certificates to her fav store
DS (8)- Skylander Wii set and characters, Air Soft Rifle, golf clubs (kind of a "miss" today due to the rain) and other video games
DD (5)- Barbie house, Disney Princess Dolls (Belle and Ariel with clothes and Princes), Barbie Guitar and Microphone, and videos.
Me: Shark mop, my pantry redone, and an IPad 2 (totally surprised me on this one). The family will enjoy using this just as much as I will.

Hits for dd9 nintendo dsi , iPod touch, new jackets, video games
Misses nothing really

Hits for dd5 Nintendo dsi, iPod touch, dresses, fur real bunny
Misses ladybug habitat

Big hit from my fil to both a yogibo

I could have saved a lot of money and only placed two items under the tree. Nothing else has been touched all day.

dd12 - iPod Touch
dd9 - Kindle fire

They have surfaced from the glow of the screen for a bit of candy from the stocking every now and then :)

Mostly "hits" here:
Laptop and accessories for college-bound child. Thrilled with grossly over-priced North Face jacket; I justified it by remembering just how much I adored/wore every single day my Members Only jacket. Thrilled with some college dorm stuff she'd specifically requested. Ink pen that looks like a syringe was a surprise hit. Clothes, books -- all hits.

Youngest is completely ga-ga over a stuffed animal (I didn't expect that to be such a hit -- I thought it was a "filler item"), Zombie bowling pins, and an oversized pocketwatch necklace. Thrilled with high-quality drawing pencils, a new set of crayons & several drawing pads. Clothes, lots of books, couple wii games -- all hits.

One miss:
The new Zelda game requires a wii accessory that we don't have. Bummer. Should've read the package more carefully. We'll pick it up tomorrow or the next day.

My own favorite "hit":

Waaay back last summer I mentioned a book I loved as a child. I didn't even have the complete name, but I told my girls how I loved it and checked it out of the library constantly but had never owned a copy. My 14-year old must've been listening closely because she googled the limited details I'd provided, and she located that book! My husband told me she came to him (with money in hand) asking him to order it through Amazon with his credit card. It was just sooooo thoughtful. I couldn't have been more surprised, and I will treasure that little book.

We really overdid it , so much I didn't name here , but I don't buy much during year, so I tend to go nuts .
That's us. During the year I'm all about "use your own money", the goal being to teach them budgeting and the value of a dollar. But we go all-out on Christmas.

DD6 ~ Ipod touch and American Girl Doll
DS4 ~ Skylander and remote control truck
DH ~ Tool set and leather jacket
Me ~ Vera Bradley Purse and Blu-ray player.

Misses, I don't think there was any. Everyone is thrilled with what they got.

DD (5 1/2) Hits: Cecile (AG doll), Daddy made wire hangers and doll clothes stand:love:, new desk
Miss: GoGo Walking Pup--She has BEGGED forever for this. After having her out of the box for 5 minutes, she said "all this thing does is walk.":rotfl: GoGo will be traded in for CoCo--but going to try and convince her to get something doll related since that's all she plays with.

DS (3 3/4) Hits: Toy horses, race track, drum set, new Disney fleece blanket with his name on it. He is so easy...no misses

DH: All hits--Jordan sneakers, Jordan clothes, Jordan blu-ray--can you tell I have a Jordan fanatic for a hubby?

Me: Disney gift cards for our trip in May! HIT!

That is so touching, you must be very proud to have raised such a sweet child.

The big hit, which is somewhat of a surprise was an impulse purchase for my DD(12) is a singing, dancing sock monkey. He has kept us all entertained for hours! :rotfl2:

Hit XBox 360 with Kinect DH and all 4 kids have enjoyed it. They haven't touched the other stuff yet to know what the misses are.

Big hit for my 4 year old daughter is the LeapPad. She has opened and played with everything but she keeps going back to the LeapPad.

Big hits for my 17 year old daughter were the macbook pro (no surprise there) and burlap Toms shoes.

My husband was thrilled with the cycling jersey we gave him (official cycling jersey of the university he attended) and with the mini Keurig I bought for his office. He also really liked the Angry Birds t-shirt our girls picked out for him (not for the way it looks but because the girls picked it out for him).

Waiting under the tree for me this morning were two pandora beads, a new clock, a wireless printer, a nook gift card and a cardigan sweater from White House Black Market. I love everything!

DS4- Polar Express Train was such a hit, that he hasn't even touched anything else all day :) He got some geotrax and Thomas train stuff and he is beyond happy, but the Polar Express made his day!!!

DD8- new bedding, new leggings and hoddie, art supplies, cute cross body bag, journal, just dance 3 were all big, big hits!!!!

Probably the biggest hit of Christmas was the granite brick to be dedicated to my grandfather on Memorial Day at the World War 1 Museum. My sister and I gave that to my mom and it was the highlight of the day :)

Dd 13 hits were 32GB Ipod Touch and Sims 3 PC game
Ds 11 hits were Nintendo 3DS and Lego Builders Academy subscription
Ds 8 hits were Nintendo 3DS and Skylanders for the Xbox
Dh hit was his helping hands with magnifying glass and LED lights
My hit was a bottle of Chanel Mademoiselle
There weren't any misses for any of us.

DD7- Hits: Nintendo 3DS, a "grown up" jewelry box, the webkinz tabby cat, a cat themed blanket
Misses: too soon to tell really as we weren't home most of the day to even play with stuff

DH- Hits: kindle fire, jar of cherries (lol!), remote controlled helicopter (I'm actually regretting NOT buying these for all the men on my shopping list)
Misses: I don't think there will be any, but time will tell. Most everything else he got were clothes

ME: Hits: A beautiful jewelry armoire (DH totally surprised me with this one), Fuzzy socks, fleece jammies
Misses: None, I love everything I got

DD almost 5

Hits
- Lite Sprites, she went around the house with that color wand zapping everything to build her color inventory. Then made a big production to change the sprite colors.
- Innotab, I got a nook tablet (big hit too! lol) and this had kept her away from mine. She draws and plays music on it so far.
- Willa! We already burned through a st of rechargables lol

Miss
Kanani :( I knew it was a risk. We got an AG catalog in the mail and she oohed and awwwed and I jumped on it when she went on and on about how pretty Kanani was. I am going to quietly put her away until DD is a little bigger.

Everything was a hit. DD loved her Bamboo Create the most I think. And it's hard to say what ds loved the most. After we open presents we cook a big breakfast and then only have a little time to get ready and head out visiting. I will say though that the one thing he decided he had to open right away was this 5 dollar remote control car that he got in a group gift exchange at the Christmas eve party. Of course it was absolute junk and wouldn't work and was a nightmare to open and get the batteries into. Here he is with all these cool new toys and he's dead set on getting this silly thing to work:lmao:.

Funny thing I sort of thought DD12 wouldn't think this Christmas was the best one. She didn't ask for much - wanted me to surprise her. She ended up loving it all and I am thrilled!

hits: nice set of speakers for her itouch, 2 bean bag chairs from lands end for her hang out room, really neat typograpy picture I had made for her, new lego xmas set, twilight books.....Says they are her favorites and this was the best Christmas EVER!!!

No real misses at all - she hasn't had a chance to go thru it all yet but she loved this little nanoblock animals that you build - teeny tiny lego like sets. Micro sized. She loved it though...and some pretty jewelry she liked thanks to someone on this thread that directed me to music notes jewelry.

Just at that odd age where not into clothes totally but not out of fun to do things either. I thought this xmas would be not that memorable. I was wrong!~
