Today was the day I had booked all the special stuff for our anniversary (even though it was before we left, they were gifts to Simon).

We had a nice lie in as we were pretty exhausted and had a lazy lunch whilst watching lots of American TV. We then went down for our one and only swim of the holiday. As we walked in I was greeted to shouts of "It's Mrs Mason!!". Oh God!! There was Chloe-Lou from my class plus her whole family. including her sister and cousin who I had taught in the past. How does that happen? I ould walk around Nottingham all week and never see anyone I knew!I had a quick chat and then wanted to scarper but thought I'd better at least have a swim or it would look a bit weird! Dashed in the pool as quick as I could, can't bear the thought of being seen in my swimming costume by anyone let alone children and parents from school!!!

Anyway, we went back and got ready for our evening out. AT 4.00pm the stretch limo I had booked for Simon arrived and we headed straight for The Boardwalk. It was fab fun in the limo, we had a drink and blasted my fave radio station. We had never been over to the Boardwalk before so we didn't know what to expect really. Unfortunately as we arrived the heavens opened so we got on the boat and headed straight over to Beaches and Craem for dinner. I had a cheeseburger and Si had a double cheeseburger, we shared onion rings. Was DELICIOUS. We would have loved an icecream but we were just too full, so settled for a milkshake each instead.
After dinner the rain had gone so we walked around the boardwalk shops. Simon got a "surprise" pin that had come out that day so was thrilled. We decided to have a go on the bikes before our cruise and had great fun, nearly killing several inncent bypassers in the process!!! I don't know why but this was one of the main things we remember about this holiday, we just laughed SO much. Simon was obsessed with ringing his bell!!

We then headed over to the dock for our cruise and met the family from PA who we were sharing with. Our captain was Captain Ron and he was ceratinly a character! The cruise took us past the swan and dolphin, up to MGM, then back to EPCOT. Ron told us lots of facts about all the areas. The illuminations were fab from the boat, something I'll always remember.

After the cruise we had a hot chocolate on the boardwalk and watched the world go by before getting our limo back. The driver took us up the length of International Drive.

What a fab day it was. Really relaxing and very special. We loved the Boardwalk and would def go agin next time.

Sounds like a wonderful day Verity, especially the Illuminations cruise. We did this last time and i'm wondering if i'll ever be able to watch it from the side of the lagoon again :D

Glad you enjoyed the Boardwalk too!
