The American Myth: The Swirly

Did you ever give or get a swirly? I don't think they really happen. I remember being in 8th grade though getting ready to go to high school and being told that the seniors will give you swirlies. I was scared!

Really? Never heard of one? It is when someone bigger than you takes you into the school restrooms and flushes your head down a toilet (clean I assume).

Yes, to a boy in our highschool. A group of popular boys ganged up on a kid in the locker room. They may have thought they were funny, but nobody else did. Yeah, the kid was considered a "nerd", but that's going too far. Besides getting in BIG trouble, the group was shunned by the rest of us. Bullies suck!!

I have heard of people who claim they did. One of my friends as a freshman in High School peed in the locker (football locker room) of one of the seniors. I believe they rtied the swirly with him. Or they may have just thrown him in the puddle again.

I thought what you are talking about is called a happy ending. Like others have said, a swirly is when ya stick someone's head in the toilet and flush.
