The Amazing Race starts tonight

Please board please board do not get upset with my question, but is Becca a transgender. I hate labeling people. But when they went back for their passports, her whole deameanor changed, even her voice. I thought she really punched him in the nose and I thought, that is so wrong, girls should not get away with hitting. Phil joked about it, but I guess she said she only wanted too.

I don't think Becca is transgender. CBS would have promoted the crap out of that. This article in Women's Wilderness doesn't mention her being trans, either; you'd think that would come up.

It's possible that she may be trans and is either closeted or just doesn't like to talk about it. But from where I sit, she's just a tomboyish young woman.

Another point about her going off on Urkel: I've got a thousand bucks that says that when she's back in Boulder, she does something that you can legally do in Boulder but not a lot of other places. I'm not joking when I say that I think she was high on the first day of shooting (go back and watch that episode, pay close attention to her eyes). By the time she lost her [stuff] on Urkel, she'd been off for probably four or five days. Four or five days off, for a moderate or heavy user like me or her, is when you start to get cranky. It passes.

I don't know! But I have said since the beginning she has the deepest most masculine voice for a female. If I heard her on the radio, I'd never know she was female. Hadn't thought about the transgender possibility. Hmmm...

Becca is not trans. I don't know her personally, but I have co-workers that have known her family (parents) and Becca since she was a kid. She is originally from Pittsburgh (my home).

Her switch from "Team Fun" to "Almost Punch My Partner in the Mouth" was reminiscent of the Good Cop/Bad Cop character from "The Lego Movie". I mean, that was remarkably startling.

It is on 2 hours on Thursday night. I am setting my DVR. I cannot stand the commercials.

We had the viewing interrupted by a storm so we missed parts. Were Becca & Urkel able to get to the top of that mountain by car; or did they have to do the walk up like Liz & Michael? It was great that it was a non-elimination night because Michael was so very discouraged. I felt bad for Liz having to experience that.

Glad Shamir was eliminated. Scott and Brooke can go next she is so annoying.:headache:
Becca and Urkel should have just used their express pass.

I'm glad Shamir was eliminated also. What a whiny baby! Same for Brooke. I loved it when Sara said "I hope he doesn't hurt himself" while making the ladle and they cut to him hurting himself.

I do feel sorry for Brook's partner. She is so whiny. If you are a complete weakling, why did you apply to go on a reality show with physical challenges? And Michael, oh my. He does not handle frustration well. True colors are coming out all over the place. Maybe doing the Race with a stranger is not a good plan, CBS.

It looked like both Becca & Floyd and Vanck and Ashton drove up.

I cannot stand racers who whine about being U-turned, especially when they have no problem messing with other teams. Redmond was a complete jerk, going off on the other team being "weak", for using a strategic feature of the game, and taunting them like a school-yard bully. Yuck! Hope to see them eliminated soon.

I love the stranger format, and even more, I love that these are all regular people, and none of these pseudo-famous reality stars.

I love Team Fun! Don't understand why some say they should have used the express pass. They thought they'd get first by doing the fast forward, which was weirdly long compared to the other tasks. Even if they knew, why use one to get first on a leg? I would save it to prevent getting eliminated. Or did it expire after this leg?

I though so but, why did the strategy not work out for Michael, and Liz?

They ended up in a parking garage. On their way to the garage it showed Liz pointing out a side street she thought would get them to the pit stop, that was never really confirmed, but I'm betting it would have worked. The parking garage said Aksla, but they could never figure out how to do anything other than get to other parking levels, so they backtracked and took the known path of the steps. They were very short tempered with each other throughout that whole process.

I'm glad Shamir is gone. I won't be sad if Brooke is gone soon too. That's the can't gag down food, can't make a ladle, give me a pep talk, or even better, do the task for me gal - right? Still trying to get names straight. ;)

Respectfully disagree. I'm liking it, a lot.

Me too. I don't think there is any more or less arguing in this season than others. I like that all the teams are strangers instead of that blind date season when half the teams knew each other. Although in that season, the final leg had three blind date couples.
