~ The Amazing Race ~ Season 16 ~

what is emimination station?

It is a hotel/resort area usually that they send the contestants to after they are elimanated. They hold them there unitl the race ends. They usually post clips on line of the teams interacting. Kind of like Ponderosa for Survivor.

I found out something interesting. They also take some of the eliminated players to the sites, to run around and throw off the spoiler people who are following the teams around. I thought that was very funny:goodvibes

ohhh cool - do you have a link for it?

Here you go. It might be US only so if you are in Canada set up a US-based Proxy if you are blocked.

Actually we can get the elimination station if you go to the CBS website and look under Amazing Race . This one of the rare ones that we can get. :confused3

cool - i was able to see it

thanks

You might check daily and see if they change the clips. A couple of weeks ago they had two different ones.

Well, just went and watched Elimination Station. Joe fully intends on confronting the cops about why they U-turned him and Heidi.

And what good would that do? Umm Joe it is called part of the game, live with it. I mean if task two was not the morse code and Joe and Heidi were able to complete it and stay in the game, then confronting and putting a target on the cops' back, I say fair game. The Uturn is part of the rules, it is an option. Joe is just being a sore loser.

Joe needs to MOVE ON! :)

I hope the cops or the cowboys take the final prize although I was a bit surprised by the one cowboy's anger last night (the brunette). Did he smash that bottle on the mat and say here's your clue? He seemed pretty ticked. :confused3

I think he threw the map down and it thudded since it was leather. It wasn't a broken bottle. I took it as more sarcastic then anger since he didn't really have an angry looking expression but without really knowing him it would be hard to tell which it was.

If it was anger it would probably be at themselves not Phil and I would be pretty ticked at myself for that kind of error (two errors actually with the missed coconut).

Phew! Glad to hear another person's take on it. I was disappointed and didn't want to watch it over again. Thanks!

I agree. However I don't like the blind uturns. Yes they knew who it was because there was only 1 team ahead of them but if you uturn someone it should show who did it.

I agree about the blind, dont like that.

But Joe knew the rules before going in so they fell victim to one of the rules and the cops had every right to use since it was part of the game. Would he have complained about the cops if they had blindsided another team, no, he would probably said good move.

See - there is a reason to try to "get along" with other teams. The cops chose Joe & Heidi because they didn't like Joe's attitude. I'm not saying that you need to help other teams, but being cordial sure wouldn't hurt.

Has there EVER been a blind U-turn that the u-turned team didn't know who did it. Or find out very shortly after.

I guess I don't see why the blind U-turn is any different than the regular ole U-turn.

It's just part of the game, IMO

I agree, except I'd give the cowboys 3 errors this leg.
They screwed up by not trying to secure seats as close to the front of the plane as possible before getting something to eat too.
I say if Brent and Caite thought of it, it's obvious enough that anyone who missed it, gets an error. :rotfl:

Making it onto one of the first 3 helicopters probably would have been enough of a buffer that they would have been fine, even with their silly coconut and bottle mistakes. Sheesh!

I really hope the cowboys pull it together and survive the speed bump; but they better adopt Louie's "read the clue again" stategy and/or steal the "details" written on their hand, arm, or wherever else they'll constantly see it strategy. Far too many mistakes from them in just one leg.

It will be interesting to see how Steve and Allie fare without their backpacks. No more all purpose duct tape fix to use in a pinch. ;)

They don't always know. I have seen them guess before and not guess correctly.
