~ The Amazing Race ~ Season 16 ~

I :lovestruc saurkraut. I'll eat it straight from the jar, even cold from the frig, as a snack. I wouldn't have had any trouble with that eating challenge.

Now the bungee jumping would be another story. I will never, ever bungee jump. :scared1:

I would have been happy to help DH with the beer though. *hic*

Hated to see Jeff and Jordan get a crappy cab driver and end up coming in last. :( But was glad it was a non-elimination round. I'm fearful for them next week though, especially if they are the ones getting yielded but since they already have to do an extra task I'm wondering if it just looks like that's what happens, but it's actually someone else that gets the yield. I hope so!

Me too. I just hate when it comes to something that is pure luck, i.e. getting a terrible taxi driver. I hope someone else gets yielded or no one to give them a fighting chance.

The cops took a cab after the bongie (sp?) thing, and the cowboys took the train, that took a lot of time, the people that took cabs got to the next clue faster.

I was referring to the below posts as to how the cops were last and got on the first plane

Did I miss something at the begining? Weren't the cops the final team to leave the pitstop? How did they get on the earliest flight with the cowboys, while the rest were on later flights?

Not shown, but the cops must have asked the right questions at the airport and gotten on the 'right' flight - i.e. with Jet & Cord. Remember, those first two had an eleven or so hour wait at the airport; plenty of time for everyone to show up and get tickets before any plane left.

I do think the shows need to be longer - ninety minutes, maybe? No WAY are they showing us enough detail!

::yes:: yea, but usually most of the teams ask what flight will get them there the soonest. Odd that every one of the other six teams didn't figure it out. Or maybe the flight was fully booked, then someone else cancelled between the second to last team to get to the airport and the cops? :confused3

They need to show us these things! I agree, it needs to be more than one hour.

I just figured the cops stoped at a travel agent or internet cafe and purchased their tickets earlier like the cowboys did and the rest of the teams waited until they got to the airport.:confused3

that's what I thought also.

As for the cowboy hat staying on....when buying a cowboy hat a reputable maker/dealer will have you try on 16 different hats to get the snuggest fit for a regular customer. I am also going to guess the boys have custom fitted hats from Justin (major rodeo sponsor) so that the hats stay on when they are competing. It takes A LOT to get a hat to come off during your event.

Urgh, Cowboys GO HOME!

They're so annoying to me. It's pretty pathetic when a girl can out drink you "men".

With that, I'm on Team Steve and Allie!

My guess is that the cowboys aren't big drinkers....at the rodeo the drinkers are usually the ones in the stands.:rotfl: (shh...don't tell anybody but I am a rodeo lover...wanted to actually barrel race at one time)

I like Steve and Allie also

So, with hats that snug, those guys must get some serious hat head, eh? :rolleyes1 ;) :rotfl:

But seriously, I have been told (by friends braver than myself ;)) that the bungee jump is much more gentle than most people would think. I tend to watch and think you get jerked in the other direction at the bottom, so it seems like a hat would keep flying down as the person gets yanked back up, but I'm told it's so gentle, you don't ever realize you've changed directions, and it's the bounce at the top you really notice.

So I'm not all that surprised that the hat stayed on, I just think it's funny.

Just because "men" choose not to drink beer in their normal every day life, does not make them pathetic. Pathetic is someone who bases a mans manlyness on weither or not they can out drink a girl.

Carol and Brandy are beer drinkers - good for them. Jet and Cord - atleast one of them stated they had never drank before - aren't beer drinkers at all or only drink a little - good for them. Being a drinker or being a non-drinker doesn't make you pathetic. Judging someone on weither they do or not - tells me a lot of someones standards they are looking for in a husband/wife. Can't out drink a girl, so your pathetic, but woo-hoo can he get sh!t faced on a regualr bases, that's a MANLY MAN I want to take home.

Now see in our relationship, I am the beer drinker and DH hates anything with carbonation, soda, beer etc.

He is the saurkraut eater. I would have struggled.

DH can also drink me under the table(and many others) but it would be other alcohol. He is a bourbon/whiskey guy. His whole family is like that, they can really drink if they want to. Most times they dont but they can put it away at weddings and such.

DH would have been helping in the challenge of drinking beer bc of his competitive nature, not bc he would like it one bit.

Is Phil not doing a blog or diary this season? I've looked for one with no success.

Well that really stinks!!!!!!! I really liked Joe and Heidi. That was not a good reason in my book to U Turn them. I hope it comes back and bites Michael and Louie big time.

They bugged me, happy to see them go.

is it just me or is Jordan comming across as whinny and lazy?

she didn't come off too bright on BB but she complains about everything on the race

she needs to suck it up and move - jeff was right when he said if he told anyone on the street they had a 1 in 8 chance to get a million they'd have more movement then she does.

Every time I feel a bit sorry for Jordan for being yelled at by Jeff, I remember that Jeff is carrying all the weight of the team. It would be very frustrating to have a partner like Jordan. He has much more patience than I do.

I thought she was just as annoying on BB.

If you watch the video extras on the TAR website, it is pretty clear that Joe was universally disliked by the other teams. Not surprised to see them get U-turned.
He is pretty obnoxious---but the other teams seemed to like Heidi.

I didn't really care if they left or not. Joe and Heidi were not one of my favorites. There are others I would have prefered to see leave before them but I guess the order doesn't make a difference.

The cops took a risky move by U-Turning them. If Joe and Heidi did complete the task, the cops would of had a big target on their back.

I could see U-Turning a team when you are losing and need to slow down a couple so you are not eliminated, but when your in first place, I can't understand the reasoning.

Well, in the end, the cops were right because they did eliminate a strong team.

I think that it was a bold, risky move on the part of the cops to U-turn Joe and Heidi. But it paid off and that's what counts. And it puts them up for a U-turn in other teams eyes as the team to beat (right now that is).

Not sorry Joe and Heidi left, she was OK but Joe was arrogant and obnoxious, he was making comments and the cops heard them, there you go, "everything you say can be use against you".
I hope the Carol and Brandy go next :worship: they're so annoying.

Jeff is right to get frustrated with Jordan, she acts like a little girl, complaining about everything, I'm glad they made it and hopefully they get their head in the game. The boo-b comment was funny :lmao:

The brothers are to funny too :rotfl:

I'm not sorry to see Joe and Heidi go, either. They weren't my least favorite, but they bugged me. The cops eliminated a good team, so it was a good move by them.

Lots of funny lines tonight. "put your ****s on the ground and drag them over here" Jordan mumbling with food in her mouth and the subtitle saying "?????????" :lmao:
