The Amazing Race 7...official Thread

There was a time there when Kelly was upset that the "guide" was not in the taxi with them. She even said it, though it goes by really fast. I almost missed it. It was something like "I wish "the guide" was in the taxi with us." And this was when they were ahead of R/A and they were heading to the fair grounds to do the Camel race.

They knew that R/A had gotten the guide. When they came out that morning, he told them that he had a guide, and that they should stick close by. But when R/K strated to get ahead, that was when Kelly wanted the guide to get in their car, and that was when Rob keeped reminding the guide who he should be with. But they never really fought over him. You just had Rob there kinda pulling the guide along to make sure he stayed with them.

not to threadjack...but I think Katie might earn herself a Pringle's Trivia Chip

"Which Survivor lost the least amount of weight on Suvivor Palau?"

i'm not bashing her or her weight (she's healthy/normal IMO)...but she really hasn't slimmed down like other suvivors have.

Not to threadjack either, but I was thinking that too when I was watching Survivor last night and remembered the post I had made on here. Doh! I guess some people's bodies are just a little less prone to weight loss?

In fact, I believe TTWSNBN deliberately chose NOT to share a room for the night with Ron/Kelly. Certaily, it would ahve saved $$ to share, but I think Rob was planning on seeing if he could hire a guide. It was just his luck that he asked the manager where to find one, and Sanjay volunteered. I thought this was a gamble (more $ for the room PLUS more $ for the guide--could be trouble later if they run out of $$!). But it really paid off for them that Sanjay did it for free. Once again it shows how Rob is always playing the game, thinking ahead, strategizing--he's very good at it, whether you care for his style or not.

I think Rob chose not to share a room because he didn't want to share a room. My dh is exactly the same way.

Am I an idiot? :teeth: I've been reading this thread all the way through, and I know that 'TTWSNBN' is a reference to Rob and Amber, but what does it stand for? I must've missed it somewhere.

"The Team Who Shall Not Be Named".

The name was given when someone complained that it was turing into a 'Rob and Amber" thread!

here in pittsburgh they're known as ROMBA .....(short for rob and amba)...they are already married ..got married in the bahamas at the atlantis....one of they're prizes!!! and just to add, i also thought JOYCE looked beautiful bald!!!and I'm so glad the gay guys are gone, no offence but they were so obnoxious!!!

Uchenna and Joyce- I hope they win. I could have never cut my hair. Other posters have said they could have done it for a million dollars, but you have to remember, it's for a CHANCE at a million dollars. There was no guarantee for her when she cut her hair, and that takes guts!

I actually cried with her while they were cutting her hair. My DH, who does not usually watch AR because he works nights, but we were on vacation, so he got to watch, he satthere with his mouth open. He said something about not being guaranteed a million dollars to do it.

Here is what came to me while I was thinking about his comment. Hair grows back. Cancer patients do not have a choice of losing their hair or not, without a million dollars on the line. A friend of mine, age 32 had a masectomy in December. She had a full head of thick long hair. She had it chopped short before she started chemo, so it would lessen the amount of hair falling out. I just kept thinking, yes she is upset, but it is not the end of the world. For them to go back at that point, and do the tasks, they certainly would of been out of the race. So, that alone made the hair shaving worth it. If not for the million dollars, it put them into the final 4, and I believe 2nd and 3rd place recieve a cash prize.

I would of shaved my head in a heart beat. And I thought Uchenna was the BOMB! He was so supportive of her, and you could tell it was killing him to watch her go through with it. (OK, that could be the thing that men have about long hair, I will never "get" that. LOL)

Just bumping up for tomorrow night. :cool1: I think it will be a non-elim round.

Go Romber!! :cheer2:

I just heard a radio commercial that might be a possible spoiler, but I know how they always cut and paste their sound and video clips to make it sound like it will happen a certain way and that's never how it happens. Anyway, I'll post it invisible just in case

The radio announcer said 'What would you do if you thought you were winning the Amazing Race only to find out you were in last place?' Then they had a sound byte of what sounded like Rob's voice saying 'Oh No.' I know a lot of people think it's non-elim and I'm sure they wouldn't give that much away if that's really how it happens, but IMO, I hope they go :)

I can't wait to see the other teams reactions to Joyce completing the last task!!! I'm sure the other ladies would not have done what she did. Well maybe Amber would have if Rob had pushed her to.

It would have been very interesting had Rob & Amber gotten to the Fast Forward first. I wonder if Amber would have done it and how Rob would have reacted if she had refused!

EEP! I could see Amber refusing. Her wedding would be just a few months away, and I can't say that I would blame her. Not sure I would react under those circumstances. Those wedding pics are forever!

I can't wait either! I love Tuesday nights!

see, I don't think Rob would have pushed her to. I do think if it was last season's Jonathan and Victoria he would have been berating her to do it and she would have refused...ugh, so glad those 2 are long gone.

Since they surprised us all with an elimination last week, we now are at the final 4, given the fact that the top 3 teams are the one's who race to the finish, and the finale is not until May 10th, another 2 weeks, then tonight HAS to be a non-elimination round.

I am pretty confident that the team you speak of in the invisible ink will be racing to the finish as one of the top 3. :teeth:

15 more minutes!!!!! :cool1: :cool1:

Go Uchenna & Joyce

Still bummed I won't see Lynn & Alex tonight. Those two were a riot!
