The Amazing Race 7...official Thread

Not for nothing, but no one is ever nice to Rob and Amber, so why should they be nice to others? If they had been in an accident, do you think anyone would have checked to see if they were all right, much less stopped? I don't think so.

I don't know why more teams didn't do the "Water" task. Definitely much easier.

I'm so glad Ray is gone. Could be be more condesending? And he is downright rude to Deanna.

Your right it is a GAME. But just a game. Rob and Amber haven't changed my mind about them being jerks. Now they are liar's and jerks who have no compassion. All it would have taken would have been to slow down and ask if everything was all right. He really showed his colours tonight.

So glad the brothers made it!! I was yelling and cheering "Go, Go, Go, Go! YES!!" and the cat was scared half to death and giving me the evil eye!! Now that was good tv!!

I love the brothers!!

Good bye Ray and Deena. Tonight when Ray said he has to figure out what the problem is with the relationship DH said, "Uh, you." I agree.

I'm not at home tonight so no TIVO. I can't watch till tomorrow. So Ray & Deanna are gone? Yay! Was another team eliminated or just them? Who wrecked and who didn't stop?

I totally agree!! If that were Rob and Amber on the side of the road, not one team would have stopped, guaranteed!! Every team hates them and they know it, so why should they stop? I wouldn't have either.

Can I just say how happy I am that Ray is gone! Talk about a jerk, he is first class!

What would be the point of them stopping? There were several people with them and another team already with them.....what were they gonna do? I wouldn't have stopped either. It looked like the guy on the ground was already receiving assistance and both brothers were obviously OK.

I think the camera men radio in to Phil and tell him "the buzz" and that's why he asked them. And I don't think every team stopped, did they? Not Gretchen/Meredith I'm pretty sure.

On to other things...I hated Ray/Deanna and I'm glad they're gone. I'd be happy to see Meredith/Gretchen go too. The others I'm OK with. My favorites are probably Rob/Amber though...they just seem like nice normal people.

Haven't been to the CBS site to check but does this still fit with the background theory?

The brothers--cameraman was injured..the boyfriends stopped...Amber and Rob kept going....everyone else slowed and asked if things were okay.

I think the boyfriends egged the situation a bit.

Surprisingly--when Kendra made her comments last season on "poor" Africa...noone has said a word about the boyfriend's behavior this evening. I can't remember what was said--but do recall it made my jaw drop.

What the heck did Meredith and Gretchen think they were suppose to do in that cave? I can't believe they came up WITHOUT the clue!
Ron and Kelly left the cave without a clue also, and had to go back. It sounded like the instructions said the clue was near the exit, but was not real clear that it was in the cave.

I do think others would have checked to make sure Rob and Amber were OK if they crashed. They showed Rob and Ray refusing to give money to Meredith and Gretchen - Ray is gone, I hope Rob is next.

Glad the brothers are still in it. I don't think any of the teams needed to stop for the brothers though. The cameraman would have had communication and it was obvious that nothing could be done since the brothers were up and walking around. I think if everyone would have been lying around injured, it would have been a different story.

I don't understand why some of the teams didn't switch tasks when the corn task was so difficult.

Someone on another message board has come up with an interesting theory/observation. This isn't a real spoiler but just in case... skip this post if you don't want to be spoiled. ;) Highlight below to read this guy's theory.
I erased the spoiler part previously posted, but wanted to bring this back up. So far this spoiler/theory is right on!!

Wasn't it something like, "I am glad this is a real city and not just camels and chickens"...or something like that?

I was jumping up and down when the brothers won-so exciting! I was SO disapointed with Rob and Amber driving right on by-true colors... I think it was awesome of Phil to call them on it too. They showed their true colors when not helping Meredith and Gretchen with just a small token ($5 maybe) also. Good for Meredith and Gretchen-she is one tough cookie. I think the brothers were very upset about the camera man.

Did Meredith and Gretchen even ask Rob and Amber for money? I dn't remember seeing them ask and being told no.

Beach background--so does it fit?
Yes. I posted about it a few posts up but this thread is moving so fast. So far the spoiler theory is right on.

Also looks like they have some good clips of Rob next week mouthing off:)

They did ask and Rob said no and rolled the window of the truck up. Maybe it was Ray but they were all together I think.

It isn't obligatory to share money. It isn't obligatory to help other teams in any way. And in past shows--sometimes helping comes back and bites the helpers in the butt...so each request for assistance must be strategically dealt with.

Ray and Deana didn't give them money either--guess they don't need their money now ;).

I don't think they showed them asking Rob and Amber for money--but if I recall correctly...I thought that R/A were standing near Ray and Deana at the time---so perhaps they all said No together. Just a thought.

Though I'm a big Rob and Amber fan, I'm pulling for Uchenna and Joyce. They seem really committed and when they gave the bag of clothes to Meredith and Gretchen, that was so nice.

One thing that cracked me up was at the beginning when Rob said "I don't think we'll be getting any Christmas caaahds from the other teams".
