That's a load of crap! That's not real world... I can't believe they opened it back up just for them.

Why? They held the plane for Rob before back a few episodes.

I am so surprise Rob didn't try to weasle his way with the pilot saying "don't open the door" etc, etc.

Because they didn't have a guide to show them where to go!!!! ;)

:rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I have to work early this month, so I can't watch the interviews on the early show. :guilty:

I'm sure some will post all the details. I really hope someone will ask Rob about the nasty comments he made at U/J and M/G a few weeks ago.

We once missed a connecting flight to Providence along with about 12 other people. The plane had pulled away from the gate and was even gone for about 10 minutes and then it returned. All of us were able to board. The explanation was that a flight attendant suddenly became ill and the plane returned. We didn't see anyone get off, and always thought it was because of the hoopla all of us were making about missing the flight.

Great finale last night but you have to admit it came down to pure luck in the very end. Had U & J's cab driver not asked the question (where was the place) in Spanish they would have been in the same boat as Rob and Amber. It was a lucky break (not that they didn't deserve it).

I loved last night's finish. Talk about a nail biter!!!!
I felt so bad for Uchenna & Joyce when they were trying to find some money to pay the taxi guy.
I am so thrilled they won. Lynn & Alex were my favorite team but Uchenna & Joyce are great too.

I am sooooo glad Rob & Amber did not win, along with Ron & Kelly. Oh I loved the look on Rob's face when U/J stepped on the plane....what comes around goes around, Rob :teeth:
I really wish R/A would have came in last in the first hour, I would have loved to see them beg for money. Looks like U/J had a hard time & people were not as willing to let their money go as in episodes before, not sure if it was because of the country they were at or it was just in the editing to add suspense?

I was crying when Uchenna & Joyce won! Looks like all the other teams were thrilled that they won instead of any of the remaining teams.
I know they are going to get that baby they want so badly.
GOOD FOR THEM!!!!!!!!

Can't wait to see them on the Early Show this morning!

Oh & the promo to R/A's wedding  This will be one Amazing Race fan that will NOT be tuning in. I will be watching Law & Order instead

I want to get a few things off my chest...

1st. I have been a HUGE AR fan since Day One. There hasnt been a season I havent enjoyed yet. Many people jumped on late, which is good for the ratings, and I am pleased to see it have a large "Survivor-like" fan base.

2nd. I was very pleased with the end. U&C played an awesome game. They didnt argue, or bicker, and they supported each other throughout. I was in tears right along with Joyce when she couldnt get the money. I have been pulling for them ever since I heard about one of them being a former MCI/Worldcom employee. I am a current MCI employee. To see anyone succeed after what this place went through...

3rd. Romber. I am just really sick and tired of people downing them. ITS A GAME!!!!!!! I think a lot of people tend to forget that. This is also TV. Editing can be a bad thing or a good thing. I admit, I didnt like Rob during his first Survivor run, and I wasnt thrilled with him at first on All Stars, but I began to enjoy his attitude. Its not for everyone. He played the game well, and it payed off for him, and he found the love of his life. When they showed up on AR, I was thrilled. Sure, they dont "deserve" the money, but hey, if CBS wants to offer to them again, why not? If someone offered you the chance to win a million bucks 2x, wouldnt you do it? I was also pulling for them to win. Rob played an awesome GAME. He wasnt out to make friends, just win a million bucks with Amber. I hope this experience makes them stronger. They are an awesome couple. I wish I could know them to be friends with them.

OK I am stepping down now, and putting on my flame proof suit just in case..

I was rooting for Rob & Amber all the way, but Uchenna & Joyce were my second choice from the beginning. This is the first season of TAR I've watched and I don't know if I'll watch any others (I happen to like these particular "pseudo-celebrities"). As a matter of fact, DH and I were thinking that an all-star version with "pseudo-celebrities" from other shows would be extremely entertaining.

I can't find fault with the airline for bringing back the plane for U/J; after all, R/A had quite a few "yeah, right" moments themselves. From what I saw, U/J picked up the advantage when R/A got the wrong address for the cigar shop.

Congrats to Uchenna & Joyce. They seem like a wonderful couple.

U/J were just on the early show.

They're going to be presented with their million $ check within the next hour and supposedly all the teams will be there.

Great finale! I was rooting for Rob and Amber b/c I like their game play. It makes me laugh. U&J though are the "real people" I wanted to win. Great finale!

I was actually yelling at the tv - GO GO GO! When I saw Uchenna and Joyce round the corner running to the finish line.

heck I'm tearing up now...so happy for them.

And someone needs to tell amber...she's a pretty girl...she looks better without all the makeup she piles on when she's not racing!

ok - when does the next AR start? :)

WOW! I was cheering and clapping and shouting GO GO GO!!!

This couldn't have been a better result! LOVE Uchenna and Joyce!!! You deserved it!

I'm bummed Rob & Amber didn't win, but my 2nd choice was definitely U&J and I'm happy for them.

A couple of comments from last night. Did anyone notice when R&A were pulled over by the police & Joyce made this big comment about Rob must be going crazy, losing his mind (or something like that) right now. Then, they flip to Rob & he was sitting calming making a small comment about how that could have cost them a million bucks. I thought that was really funny. Rob really never lost his cool. Also, when he & Amber were building the raft, he snapped at her (barely) & then he immediately apologized & said "we just really need to get this done". They really are a great couple, IMHO. I also thought it was funny how they edited the raft building scene. They'd show R/A & U/J working together, supporting each other, then shift to R/K continually snapping at each other & putting each other down.

Oh, my favorite part of last night.....seeing the preview from Rob & Amber's Wedding special!! Woo Hoo! After losing the race, THEY are the ones who get the last shot. I LOVE IT!

My fave quote from last night...

Huge Romber fan here, but I am happy that U&J won. Cried.

Looking forward to the wedding AND the start of Big Brother!!

WOW - that was intense!! I cried when they won and I am SO glad it was them. Amazing how they came from behind after the flat tire and no money! :goodvibes

Great Finale!

FWIW - I once ran to a gate for a connecting flight (along with 3 others who were on the same delayed flight I was on) and the plane was there, door just closed and they were just pulling back the ramp... we begged... we pleaded... one woman cried just a bit... they rolled the ramp back out and let us on... it happens.

I was also on a flight once (to Orlando) where the gate had been closed & the ramp was being pulled away... and YUP.... they rolled the jetway back out & let on a family that came very late.... U&J did have tickets, only for a later flight.... standby's are allowed on, if the flight isn't full...

Why? They held the plane for Rob before back a few episodes.
But that's because Rob is such a great player. When it happens to someone else it's a conspiracy.

Face it....Rob got a lot of breaks during the game that could be called questionable. While I don't think CBS would be stupid enough to rig the game for them, it could look that way because obviously CBS wouldn't want to lose Romber in the first few episodes and have the ratings go down when all the Romber fans jumped off the AR bandwagon.

Rob played a good, smart race and got some good breaks. Then he ran into a guy named Karma.

Great show last night! I don't believe for a second that CBS rigged any of the flights. Why would they risk that? There's no pay-off for them to that.

I was rooting for a Romber win but was happy to see U/J win. Especially since they plan to use the money for a great purpose!

Can't wait for next season!

Disappointed R/A didn't win, but I can live with J/U.

Again the best racing team didn't win (R/A) just like last season when Kris and John didn't win. U/J made a lot of major mistakes on the race, so while I can live with them winning, I don't think it was "deserved" they just got extremely lucky.

I really wish they would get rid of non elimination legs or keep them in the early parts of the race. Even if it would have taken J/U all day to beg for money, they still would have caught up, so it doesn't seem like it was that much of a penalty.

R/K self destructed, plain and simple. While I don't care for her, I really, really think he is just plain horrible. Someone needs to slap him upside the head and tell him to get over himself.

Finally, while I don't think the producers held the plane for J/U, it certainly didn't hurt that they obviously were being followed by a TV crew and they were in the United States. It certainly made the airline (in these hard times for the industry) look good on national television to let them on the plane.

Oh, and it was obvious Lynn and Alex STILL weren't over Rob and Amber. Give me a break.......
