I know I said I wasn't going to talk about that other team again (but I just can't help myself) I'll just call them "The team who shall not be named" (Get the Harry Potter reference

)
I think they have a distinct advantage over other contestants because they have vast experience with reality shows. Specifically, getting over the fact that a camera is following them around most of the time. Knowing how to play the cameras and what is allowed/expected and having experience doing so
IMO gives them an advantage.
I think as an average "Joe" going on a reality show it takes a few weeks to get used to those aspects of the game which could hinder the way they play until they find their comfort level.
Remember that "they" weren't so experienced and savy in their first Survivors. They learned from the experience and it certainly paid off - #1 and #2 in Allstars.
I liken it to professional athletes playing against amateurs.
I think CBS was correct in putting "The team that shall not be named" in AR to boost ratings. It worked. Great, more people hooked on the show, so my favorite reality show will stay on the air. Remember AR was almost cancelled prior to winning the Emmy. However after a few episodes with the professionals, I personally don't care for the way the game is being played out with the experienced ones and hence I personally am looking forward to the next AR. CBS did the "ratings stunt" once, now please keep it to "All Stars".
BTW - "The team who shall not be named" was asked by CBS to participate.
They didn't apply or consider being on the show before they were approached.
The team said so in a interview.
Lisa Loves Pooh - yes the son is such a BRAT!! Now that's a team I'd like to see go soon!
