Can someone please post a recap. I only saw the last 15 minutes or so. Why was Adam so insistant that Rebecca stop calling him 'honey' or 'baby' or whatever it was? I missed everything before that point.

OMG! Just watched and can't believe the bad luck Kris & John were having with cabs! So glad they pulled out third place.

Does anyone know what time it's on next week. Regular time and running an hour longer or starting an hour earlier? I'll be in DISNEY WORLD!!! Want to make sure I set the vcr though.

Well according to my TV Guide, for the Atlanta area...the show will start at 9pm and will end at 11 pm.

My family loves the race and we are hoping that Kris and Jon win as well. Shanghai was absolutley fabulous! Did anyone else see that they are having another Dr. Phil special and that Victoria and Jonathan will be on the special? That will be interesting to watch!

I love the commercial that they showed, that had Dr. Phil flat out ask John if he was a JERK!

Like he is going to get an honest answer to that!

So how DO you catch a taxi in Shanghai.

I thought Phil made a comment about being "lunch" hour which was why none of the cabs were picking people up.

I don't know about anyone else, but that race to the finish had me on edge. I was SOOOOOO hoping that Jon and Kris wouldn't come in last, even though it's a non-elimination stop. I couldn't believe their bad luck with taxi drivers! One, yeah, but two?? Sheesh!! No wonder they were stressing a bit.

Found this comment on cbs.com's recap of last night's episode --

While Kendra had a frightening descent to the ground because of the winds, she happily completed it, allowing her and Freddy to jump in a taxi to the monument. While the pair had had trouble getting a taxi earlier, it was now not a problem, because rush hour had passed.

I guess most of the cabs were on their way to pick up someone and couldn't stop.

Did anyone else laugh when the sand ran out and Adam & Rebecca were still arguing??? Earlier I noticed that they showed them arguing while being yielded and then showed the glass, and I commented to DW Lauri, "think they'll increase their yield by arguing and not notice the sand?"

AR usually has 3 teams in the final leg, so I think they will have an elimination pit stop after the first hour.

JMO, but it seemed to me she was trying to sweet talk him so that he wouldn't lose his cool and want to quit again. My guess is he knew she was faking it and it got on his nerves.

Gotta love her comeback, though.

I think that Adam and Rebecca's fighting after the sand ran out could have been why they came in last, if it was as close as they made it look on TV then it was only seconds which they could have had if they didn't stand there fighting.

I also think that it is going to be really hard for them to get any $$ because of the language barrier. This could be the end of the line for them.

I'm still going for Kris and Jon!!

ITA!! I don't know how R&A are going to raise any money. Adam doesn't seem to be very aggressive and easily frustrated which leaves poor Rebecca, again.
I just hope that Kris and Jon's "luck" with the taxis improve during the remainder of the race. I will be so upset if they don't win!! Did anyone notice on next week's previews they were showing all the upcoming drama and Kris and Jon were the only ones they didn't preview? Another example of how well they get along, even under stressful situations.
I wonder where the race will end???

From the previews, it looks like almost everyone is going to have a melt down next week! I really like Kris and Jon. They work so well together, it's impressive. I'm actually impressed with Adam and Rebecca, too. Here's this ex-dating couple, working on this super stressful situation and they're still pulling it off! I did LOL when he told her to stop calling him honey. I loved her comeback, too! Very funny. Does anyone else want to take a scissors and cut off those little tufts of hair??? They drive me nuts!

Oh I really hope Kris & John win.... if they don't I will be supremely disappointed (I don't really care for Kendra or Hayden ) They did have the very worst luck with cabs last night though

I was a bit miffed that Dr. Phil is having a primetime special with who else but Victoria & Jonathan... He is such a jerk, I don't think he deserves the press time, I'm sorry, but does Dr. Phil need to resort to that??

I've been lurking on this thread but last night's episode wanted me to post.

I've recently been to Shanghai and Beijing (i think they are headed there next). I think the racers were having problems with the cab drivers for 2 reasons, the main reason is i think because of the camera crew. I don't think a chinese cab driver would really want a camera crew in their cab. Second is the language barrier, not many people speak english even in the big city's so the racers would have a hard time getting their message across.

I did take a cab in Beijing - a very harrowing experience. We had to show the name of our hotel on a card in Chinese because he did not speak English. Very evident when i am screaming to slow down and he is nodding his head and saying yes yes and we are still careening down the streets of Beijing weaving in and out of traffic.

I hope they go to the great wall next, it will be a feast for the eyes, very beautiful

Can someone tell me what time and what day that Dr. Phil special is coming on? Gotta set up the tivo for that one! I can't wait to see what Dr. Phil says to evil Jon and enabling Victoria! I'm sure I will be and Dr. Phil.

Yes, I did notice that and it worries me. They make it sound like the other teams are struggling and will lose and I don't think they would give that sort of "hint" for the finale. I will actually be really upset if Kris and Jon don't win.

And I couldn't believe how beautiful Shanghai was. It really makes me want to visit there someday, but I know that would be difficult seeing as not many people spoke English.

I really like Kris and jon too but just because they don't show up means they won. They have showed extreme grace, they don't argue or yell or anything which would make good cuts for the tv. So they don't get as much footage as they plug along. I think that makes them special, even with the sever problem of the taxis they stayed polite. I hope they do win......

Even with all the troubles they had last night ~ they still remained calm, collected and in the race! I was so glad to see that they didn't get yielded. I really thought someone would yield them being the strong team ~ glad that Freddie/Kendra wanted to even the score!

I am soooo sad that we only have one more week of AR. I won't know what to do with myself on Tues. nights!

It will be really interesting to see just how much money Rebecca & Adam will be able to *beg* next week. I know the language barrier was huge in this country ~ and Phil told them that they would have a hard time getting money there. hehehe I'm sure Rebecca will pull thru one way or another!

I noticed that when John finally got to the clue box at the skyscraper, one of the other racers said "it's the first time he's shown any emotion." I know the editors can make you look good or bad depending on what they need, but it seems like John and Kris are really, truly nice people. When they were at their most frustrated, John pulled his visor over his eyes. For him that's really acting out.

Hayden, on the other hand... GACK!!! Did you catch her looking right into the camera and going "Hah-hah!" when she saw the yield? Is she 5 years old? She's gotta do the rest of their Roadblocks, so I hope they have skydiving or bungee jumping next week. She is such a puke.
