I too was disturbed by Jonathan's behavior. Even on MTV's the Real World, if one contestant shows abuse to another, they will get kicked off the show (spouse or not!!). I would like to think The Amazing Race has more class than the Real World! I hope somehow they are majorly tripped up next week and are off.

But for the first half of the show, I wanted to throttle Kendra- what a b!!! I cannot believe how incredibly SNOTTY she was about Africa- most people would feel compassion towards those people who have so much less than us; or wonderment that people live like that and yet have smiles on their faces. And then how stupid are both her and Freddy---did you hear her say, "What's a stein??" DUH!

I truly, truly hope that it's Kris and Jon and Gus and Hera to the end! They are the two teams that show grace, class and integrity 100% so far. I agree that TAR needs to go back to how it originally was the first few seasons and just have regular ole' people as the majority of the contestants. This is getting silly.

Wow.... I guess I am alone in the fact that what J is doing doesnt bother me all that much. By that I mean, Victoria will take it for as long as she takes it. I wouldnt stand for that type of behavior from anyone I know, but then again everyone isnt me. She has allowed this to happen.... just as much as he has done it. (ack the grammer! sorry) I dont have a lot of respect for any woman who was hit for the first time and didnt leave that very moment. Not to say that I have any respect for anyone hitting anyone, ever.... but she chose to stay. And no, she doesnt deserve it, but she stayed, so some of the blame for this relationship lies with her also.

As for Jonathan...He is digging his own grave if ya ask me... He will get what is coming to him. And I think AR is doing something about it... they are showing the whole nation what an jerk he is............... They are both watching this... and I beleive the show will open at least V's eyes to the whole situation and she will leave. Not sure if Jonathan will change and quite frankly I dont care if he does... I just hope V leaves him.

Also I noticed on J & V's website they had a poll - something to the effect "Do you think Second Place is good enough?" You don't think they end up in second??? I hope they are gone ASAP - I couldn't believe what a sleeze bag he is...

No one could pronounce Brats correctly, not even Phil.

Brats are not pronounced like a child that is a brat.

It is pronounced with a short vowel o. "I got a brat"

And then the body builder guy eating the pork raw-I thought for sure they would show him puking by the end of the day. And, brats are almost 95% pure fat!

I have also sent a email to CBS today...Disgusting!!! Some posters are right, this show is filmed months ago...so why isn't the violence edited out??? Stress does a lot of things to people, do our children need to be exposed to it? This show is on in Primetime, and unlike a sitcom, it is real life. They are not actors/characters, the violence is unacceplable!!! I am sick of Jonathan/Victoria, Lori/Bolo and Adam/Rebecca and the arrogant Kendra, she should be thanking God she is not poor. This show last night really has made me sick. I think this might be the last season!!!
I hope either Jon/Kris or Gus/Herra win.

Well, I of course, agree with most everyone regarding Jonathon. He is just awful. Did anyone see on the preview for next week where Victoria says something like "You need to act like a man & do this" & he said something like "you need to act like a woman & keep your mouth shut". Holy cow. Um, that would be the part where if I were Victoria, I would walk out. Wouldn't be great if she just stopped? While he screamed & yelled, she just sat there & did nothing. Unfortunately, if she did that, I'm sure he'd hit her.

Oh, and what about Jonathon telling mama's boy to stop following him? OMG, if I were mama's boy, I'd stay 2 feet behind him the rest of the race. I'd go out of my way to stay right behind him at ALL times.

Once again, Kris & Jon are still my favorite. I like Gus & Hera, too. I agree with whoever earlier said it was a class act when Gus yelled that he'd pay 1/2 of the cab fare, he did not have to do that.

As for Don and MJ--I didn't even know it was an option to ask other players--I am most impressed that it appeared that everyone gave them some money. Very cool!

I thought so too until Don made the comment about them now having more money than the other players and advised MJ not to tell anyone how much money they had. I guess I'm one of the few viewers that was glad they got eliminated last night. I am not crazy about very many of the other teams but I was getting tired of Don and MJ always being in a fog about what they were doing and where they were supposed to be going.

As for Jonathan and Victoria, unless there is something in the rules of the race that specifically address abuse, the producers will do nothing because if they did...J & V would sue the heck out of them.

On the Survivor thread they were talking about how cool it would be to have a Survivor for couples (Ron & Amber, Richard Hawk and Sue Hatch, etc.) I just came across this on another discussion in the cruise board:

Survivor: All-Stars lovebirds Boston Rob Mariano and Amber Brkich are said to be among the 11 teams currently participating in The Amazing Race 7.

The rumor, which is all over the Internet, surfaced in Toronto last week when Mariano was slumming at a local Woman's convention. (He and Brkich have shamelessly milked their 15 minutes of fame by working casinos, golf tourneys, kids parties, etc.)

CBS is always very tight-lipped about upcoming reality show participants. The Amazing Race 7, currently in production, won't air until sometime in Spring 2005.

I think victoria is just one of those type of women who will just take the abuse. If she was smart she would just leave him. Unfortunetely I dont see that happening. I hated Jon from the beginning.

Oh NO!!!! I couldn't STAND Rob and Amber, I hope that it isn't true, but somehow I believe it will happen. That will make me very sad, and could possibly be the only thing to keep me from watching next season.

Ha-Ha - loved Don & MJ realizing how much $$ they ended up with & "shhh..don't let on how much we got". I was very impressed with the other teams sharing their $$. I don't know how else they would have gotten any $$ - not like there were other tourists around.

AR is my favorite reality show. I dislike Jonathon and hope that he and Victoria are eliminated soon. I do not agree with the concept of blaming CBS for showing Jonathon's behavior. CBS is not to blame for such behavior and so long as this teams abides by the rules can not do anything about it. If CBS tried to eliminate Jonathon & Victoria now, there would be a nasty lawsuit.

Jonathon is not going to like how he is viewed now that they are back. His behavior will an adverse effect on his movie production business. Who would want to work with him after seeing this type of behavior.

I'm with you. Every show there'd be a couple times when all of the teams would bunch up, wating for something to open, or waiting for a flight, or whatever. And those two always would immediately drop to the back of the pack when things opened up again. They made bad choices on detours (counting vs. assembling a desk, fishing vs. stacking, etc.), and were always lost. They were a very nice couple, but c'mon! It's a race! And when Don let them come out ahead money-wise, that was it for me.

And re J & V: Did you notice the nuclear meltdown she had on the way to the finish line? Good Lord! I'm not mentioning this to excuse J's behavior (no way!), just to point out that they're both pretty completely disfunctional.

And... Beer and brats! That's a detour anybody from Wisonsin would have aced! I thought it was funny how Gus just couldn't stay away from the beer. Even trying to get Hera to leave so that he could sneak one last sip.

It is CBS fault--producers should be accountable for behavior of the contestants--good or bad. I'm sure if one of the teams was stealing or causing car accidents or running people off the road literally and dangerously causing them to wreck--then the producers would be saying something.

And if V has never even so much as called the police and all of their "violence" is in private--then there would be nothing for the screeners to catch.

And comeon--Allison and Donnie were team #2 out--so it didn't ruin the WHOLE season. We can't control who they'll put on. You'll watch a wife beater millionaire--but not the winner of another tv show. Hmmmmm.....

I'm sure that CBS doesn't just look at the public records. They must do plety of interviews and psychological tests. They've got tens of thousands of applicants and they need to be able to ferret out the psychotics in the bunch. These two slipped through their net, unfortunately.

And you do understand the difference between a boycott and someone not being interested in watching a show, don't you? I'm sure you do but it doesn't seem like it.
