Me too and why such a big blur?

What was weird to me is--it was not blurred the whole time. Every couple of shots there would be no blur. I guess in those moments, there was a...ummmm...."problem".


Liked the show last night--it would be difficult to pass someone on the boardwalk. I don't think Big Easy? meant any harm, but just what happens when you get too close to someone on a tight race course.


Someone mentioned not understanding why the GT's are worrying so much about the boys and not Cheyne and Meghan. My only thought is--teams focus on who is in there way at the moment. No way to beat someone you can't see--but you can beat someone you are competing against.

My only correlation is in running. I have no control beating the 100th person ahead of me....BUT, I can do what I can to beat the one person next to me...and then the next...and then the next. Eventually, I might beat that 100th person.

Not sure who I want to win--but the brothers are beginning to irritate me again. Next week they "steal" a cab that Ericka and Brian had asked to wait. I know that that is a game, and they likely are not breaking any rules--but that typically is frowned upon as poor sportsmanship.

Yea, I liked the GTs at first, but they are starting to rub me the wrong way the way they are trying to use the celebrity status. Wearing their uniforms is especially obnoxious.

I agree with the PP who said that wearing any type of uniform and making people believe you are on a sports team can be done by anyone who wants to do it. FT & BE could wear GT uniforms and be taken for real because they are very tall black men who are physically fit.

My cousin's BF is 7'3" and if he wore a basketball uniform in another country, he could easily be taken to be a player for that team.

It would annoy me more if someone used this tactic on the race. It doesn't annoy me that the GTs are being who they really are.

Plus, does anyone know how much they really earn as GTs? I think that they make a fair living, but they certainly aren't making what they could be if they got on an NBA team.

Okay, here's what I don't get...... The brothers have seemed willing to work with other teams the entire race. First it was mostly the poker players. The last couple of episodes it has been Cheyne and Megan. However, they seemed to have not liked the GT from the start, and we've never seem anything on any of the episodes about what started this rivalry.

Cheyne and Megan really are the team to beat. They seem like a really nice, strong couple who work together well. Unfortunately, that doesn't really make for good tv, so we don't see a lot of them. I noticed they weren't in any of the clips for next week. Is that because they just blew everyone else away or just not involved in the drama?

Truthfully, I dislike the brothers more each week, and I didn't really care for them all that much in the beginning. LOL!!! Seriously, they have been whining more than Erica these last 2 episodes. Erica, OTOH, has been much better.

Really, the only team I want to watch to the end is the GT. A final 3 with the other 3 teams would be rather boring I think.

I agree with all of this. My hope is for a GT & Cheyne/Megan race to the finish, as those two teams seem to be the best at the game the whole race. (though I was really hoping for a Pinky and the Brain & Globetrotter finale)

As for the blur....PLEASE!! Somebody should have told them to shut their traps (both the mouth and the blurr)

I just googled the question and it said back in 2000 they were earning close to a million dollars a piece. They were not paid salaries, but by each venue of ticket sales and merchandise. I'm sure they are being paid more 9 years later.

I'm wondering how long does someone stay with the GlobeTrotters too.

I have a very common first name and I would have given anything to have a stylized name. There is another girl with my first and last name in my town and it has been nothing been trouble for me.

For a while I thought it's a "stage name" since he's so pretty I thought he was one of the many aspiring models on TAR. But TAR says he's a "Social Change Mentor" whatever that is so maybe his mom did saddle him with that silly name!

This is a race for $1 million, the GT are going to use what ever means to get to the finish line first; so they are going to wear the uniforms!!

As to the fall last night between FT and one of the brothers, its going to happen. I used to coach track and cross country at a fairly high level (I coached 2 All Americans) and when you get into close quarters like that and there is no room to go, heels are going to get clipped and someone goes down. I've seen it happen more times than I wanted to and I always told my kids to be careful for that.

Maybe there will a U-turn the next episode. That will make it very interesting since there are only 4 teams left and the next leg could be an elimination leg. As long as the brothers are eliminated next.

No kidding. They are really starting to get on my last nerve.

I was intrigued with the blurring of the brothers' crotches during the volleyball game. Why were they blurred? And can I get a copy of the unedited version?

Apparently 8pm is to early for CBS to bust out with the crotch cam.

I was sad to see Pinky and the Brain go last night, but it sure seemed destined to be that way. Even with catching up to everyone on the ferry, they just could not pull ahead. At least they seemed to have fun until the end.

The volleyball and slingshots were next to each other and they chose slingshot because the two "courts" were already taken and Gary and Matt came up to the slingshots as they were leaving. Am I missing something?

Maybe they didn't know if Meghan & Cheyne had already finished. BTW, I missed Gary and Matt coming up to the slingshots while they were still there.

Those were teams #2 and #3. Meghan and Cheyne had finished before any of them had shown up. So it is unlikely they were aware of where they were in the order.

And sometimes, a last place team has been known to pass other teams--so not sure on that. But since Pinky and the Brain didn't get there until after they checked in (based on editing) they woudln't have known for certain if they were still behind them or not. So they could have been 3-5th place.

The way she said it, she seemed like she had a pretty good idea of what number they were but wasn't entirely certain. I know I would have said I don't know also.

Wanted to let everyone know, I usually DVR THREE RIVERS which comes on CBS at 9PM so I don't miss AR due to football games. I happen to check today and COLD CASE is on at 9pm with THREE RIVERS being on at 10pm.

Had I not checked it would've taped from 8pm to 9pm stopped and then taped again from 10pm to 11pm. I hope that makes sense.

Just a heads up.
