If so, that's even funnier than not knowing how to sled!

LOL - I was just about to post this. I said to my DH - is she wearing SWIMMIES??!!! Really though, I don't know why people go on the show not realizing they WILL most likely have to face fears of heights, crowds, foul smells, etc.

Anyway, we were VERY happy to see team moron go home. Can I kick the snowman? What a jerk.

Our CBS station ran three games! I wanna know what are the 100+ ESPN sport channels for?

Can you imagine, if they cut those games when their time was up?
How do they scramble for advertising?
There must be some clause with football-
I know Nascar coverage gets shut down if the race runs over it's time slot,
and luckily we flip over to ESPN.

Amazing Race comment-I really wouldn't mind this time, if a guy team won.
I like the:
1. GlobeTrotters
2. Dad/son team
3. The girl Poker Players

And, I sure hope Canaan, wasn't going to try to push her down the slide. He was probably trying to get her to sit. For any water slide, there is always a lifeguard on top, "telling" you when to sit/go/etc. I can imagine her fear, that is one water slide I refuse to go on at Noah's Ark in Wisconsin Dells. Does Typhoon Lagoon, or Blizzard Beach have one of those slides?

It's really cool! Only slide that I know of that goes THROUGH a shark tank (an underwater tube of sorts within the shark tank).

We must be lucky, I have seldom seen NASCAR coverage cut unless it was going to go really over.

DH asked me if he imagined that she is wearing water wings.....HELLO, ...it's a water slide. A couple of inches of water going down the thing and....what maybe 3-4 foot depth of water at the bottom.....and you need waterwings????? DD12 will have a hayday with that one, when she gets to watch the recording of last nights show.

With DH on layoff, he has been watching this with me. He has always given me a rash of crap, good naturedly, about watching this show. Yesterday, he hurt his back, so he was laying down flipping between football and baseball, until TAM started, then he was flipping between the three. He acutally cheered when "the mouth and spouse" was given their farwell notice. I told him he would get hooked, if he actually watched the show with me.

We love this show and I enjoy reading what everyone else is thinking
Just had to say we call Mika and Canaan whiner and um witcher(but with a b). I would not want my dd dating him (at least from the way they cut it) but then I can't imagine having a daughter so whiney and can't sled??????
We too were suprised at how well lawyer and fiancee got along, but really always driving the wrong way....and the snowman thing oh please almost as dumb as can't sled.

Blizzard Beach does. My kids love it. Me? You won't get me any closer than the ski lift.

I kept wondering during this episode if you know someone in a specific country/location, could you call and ask to spend the night? I have a friend from HS who lives in Dubai with his wife. I know they'd put my team up for the night if it was allowed. They'd even drive us around if they could to save us the cab fare.

I can see why he likes living in Dubai. He said that the indoor ski place is pretty cool. He goes there sometimes even though he doesn't ski.

It was a great episode of AR though, I can't even imagine a ski place in a desert with 120 degree temperatures! But, of course, that is what our gas prices pay for!!!

It costs about $50 USD for a two hour pass to Ski Dubai so your gas dollars are not subsidizing it. Give Dubai a little credit for reinventing itself as a global tourist destination so there is money coming in when the oil runs out.

I wonder if they are allowed to carry cell phones with them while they're racing. I've never seen a team that had their own cell phones. I've seen them ask to borrow other peoples' phones a lot.

I would think these would not be allowed. I've always read that contestants have to agree to no outside contact during these types of shows. Staying with a friend in the region or calling someone from a cetain city would give too much away. For example, that you are still in the race for one thing. Now we are seeing phones at the elimination station, but I don't know if those are personal phones or phones on loan from the producers.

They were eliminated last week ( they did not have their passports when they checked in). Or are you thinking of some other team?

Yes, they were eliminated, but never went to the elimination house with the other eliminated couples. They were expecting them to arrive, but Lance and Keri showed up instead. Maybe it was a passport delay issue, or something else?
