THE AMAZING RACE 15, ~Season Premier~ 09/27/09 pg 64!

yeah - the taxi dispatch won't be their "personal consierge"!! too funny! Cara & Jaime are even ugly to fellow Americans (they DO realize that Hawaii is a State, right?!)

DH and I were joking that Cara is going to start complaining that people in Hawaii need to learn to speak English, because she's tired of dealing with foreigners!

I was sorry to see the sisters go. I thought they came back really well from the swimming stuff. But really, Jen should have worked harder on choking down the food. Eating tiny bites and swilling down all that water--not a good choice. Especially when J&C showed up and started plowing through the food.

Were there REALLY only 10 seconds between the K&J and the redheads? If so, why didn't we see K&J running up while the redheads were on the mat? I think it wasn't as close as it seemed :confused3

Again, I think this was just luck that T&V had an advantage. This is the second to the last leg. You better believe that TAR had to plan for this leg MONTHS in advance with the Chinese government. There was always a chance that T&V would have been eliminated earlier and never even have made it to China.

Just like there was always a chance that J&K might have been eliminated before that Russian leg where they had to run a couple kilometers in the cold. Wouldn't you say a running roadblock would have been to their advantage, with them being track stars?

Somebody has an advantage at somepoint...if they are still in it at that point. No use griping about it.

Hmmm not really griping I don't think. I think I'm only annoyed by their advantage because I think Tammy and Victor just kind of bumbled their way to where they are while whining and making poor decisions. So it stinks to see such a mediocre team have such an advantage. But I'd still be happier with them winning than the redheads. The best outcome would be Margie and Luke winning!

Phil said it came down to seconds.

Even if was an hour later is still would have "come down to seconds", 3600 seconds, but seconds none the less.

Maybe T&V did have an advantage but any of the contestants could have learned a second language.

I noticed Victor reading back the stuff but that might have been down to adrenaline for the race. Plus who knows how it was edited. Maybe Tammy was reading the stuff and had some issues so Vic helped out and they just edited out the beginning. You never know what happens in the editing room.

For a million dollars I would have risked being called "Pee Pee Pants" for the rest of my life!

I like Margie, but Luke's tantrums annoy me. I like Tammy, but Victor's pompous donkey attitude annoys me. The redheads just both annoy me:rotfl:

(I do get annoyed easily)

Maybe they can team Margie and Tammy and then I would have a team to root for:thumbsup2

Had to add my 2 cents worth, I will resume lurking now:rolleyes1

I was wondering this too. Unless some of the production staff held K&J back while checking in the red heads?? :confused3 Seriously though, even a few minutes could've been avoided if they didn't need to get to the potty, lift up all that silk and whatever else she was wearing, squat, clean up, put everything back in place and then run to the mat. I mean, she was at the finish line - mere minutes away from potty heaven!!!

So disappointed that Margie and Luke made it through to the final 3. Tired of seeing their whiny faces on TV every week. This week, I actually felt a little bad for Luke though. Margie is such a control freak. She couldn't let him put on the makeup without constantly looking and complaining. I was glad when he said "I quit", or something like that. Who cares if it's perfect? :sad2: She is such a witch. Really hope they crash and burn on the this last leg and don't win.

Jen is an idiot. There is no other way to explain it. She drug her feet at the eating challenge, losing precious time, and then, knowing that the other team is on their heals, actually stops to pee. What a freaking moron. They deserved to be eliminated for that. You have a change of close and you can shower at the rest stop. :headache:

I'm impressed with the way Victor has grown in the treatment of his sister. I didn't care for him in the beginning, but I really like them now and they they work so well as a team. Hoping they win!!!

The cheerleaders are so annoying. I can never tell them apart, but the one who is so insulting to every foriegner she meets and every cab driver. :sad2: Love the preview for next week!! :rotfl: Finally someone who understands them and can put them in their place!!! :thumbsup2

I completely agree.

Can't stand listening to Margie and Luke moan and complain. I really don't want to see them win.

Okay, I just watched again this morning.

Phil said "It came down to just seconds....." and Jen said something like "If it was just seconds...ten seconds...or minutes...or whatever blah blah blah" (I can't remember what else she said!).

So I guess Phil didn't say 10 seconds, Jen did...so who knows how long it really was? Oh wait, maybe if I go watch the videos at CBS, somebody will say...or maybe in Phil's blog....off to search...

ETA: This is from Phil's blog as shown on http://popwatch.ew.com/popwatch/2009/05/phil-keoghan-bl.html

"And then there were three. Let’s go ahead and get this out of the way. That was without a doubt the most expensive bathroom break in the history of The Amazing Race, right? Even as I sat watching the episode last night from my hotel in Maryland, knowing what was about to happen, I still couldn’t believe it. I know that it was really tough on Jen and that she felt truly responsible for their elimination…especially considering they had battled through the U-turn, the eating challenge and even moved ahead of the redheads and still came up several minutes shy of the final three. Both Kisha and Jen have competitive natures and I’m sure that elimination stung."

Having an overactive bladder myself, I would like to know what you find.

Oops, I see you were editing while I was replying.

I wonder if I could actually pee while running? Is that like chewing gum and patting your head?

I don't always watch The Amazing Race but have seen a few episodes this season. I have to say Tammy and Victor really lucked out that they were in China and knew Chinese! I like those 2, I hope they win...

You are not the only one. I like them and the mom and son.

I ADORE Margie and Luke. I was starting to think I was the only one. Both of the other teams are more whiny to me than they are.

For $1,000,000, I am sprinting to the finish line with pee dripping down my leg! Note to self: Pack the Depends if going on the Amazing Race.;)

I think it's one of the eligibility qualifications - each contestant has to be able to speak at least one language in addition to English.

I don't think so. I remember the country team saying they didn't speak any other languages.

I think you're right. Most racers only speak English. Unless you count the broken Spanish (Spanlish) some of the racers use.

Or at least English with an accent like Charla and Mirna:rotfl:

I dunno...maybe Margie was a control freak last night because she is not used to seeing Luke actually do something!:rotfl2:

WTH- Couldn't figure out why he couldn't eat last night. I would think that I would MAKE him do the ones that he could do without hearing.
