Sorry to hear you thought you were getting a savannah view Perhaps you will be upgraded to pool view or savanna view but for a 2-week stay I'm not sure of the likelihood?? It's possible, though, since something like 90% of the rooms have Savanna views. Both times I've booked standard I've received upgrades to Savanna view, however these were short stays.

Either way, as I'm sure you've read, there are many beautiful spots throughout the resort from which to view the animals. And the resort is magnificent. Here are some pics taken from my recent trip that were not taken from my balcony

Definitely cancel your Universal day Disney parks are the greatest!! (Just my opinion )

Question for AKL experts. We just modified our ressie to a Standard View room from a Savannah View room because of the new discount code that became available. We're saving a lot by doing that ($700)...

We are staying at AKV in a studio for two nights. From reading the room descriptions it doesn't look like pots, pans, bowls, silverware, etc are included in the room. Is this true? I'm trying to pack so I need to know what extra's to bring with me.

The studios don't have a stove so there is no need for pots and pans. There is a coffeemaker, fridge, and microwave. I plan to bring plasticware and paper plates/bowls.

What is the best way to get to AKL from AK. Can you walk to it? Do you take the bus? How much travel time do I need to allow to get there.

The bus is the only transportation. It's a 5 minute bus trip to get to the AKL from the AK.

My kiddos really want to try the AKL for our next trip. Our options are 2 connecting Savannah rooms, 2 connecting standard concierge rooms (no guarantee of view), 1 bdr suite concierge (no guarantee of view), or 1bdr Savannah villa in Jambo. Which one would you pick and why?

Do you have to stay concierge to do the special safaris? Is concierge at AKL worth it? Any advice is appreciated!
