Hey Tyler, me again. :wave2:

Here's a question that I read a few months ago but I cannot remember what the answer was:

I have Ultimate Park Hopper added on to my stay. On my last day my plane leaves at noon so I'll have no time to go to the parks. I'll just be at Pop for breakfast and waiting for the Mears shuttle.

As I understand, the UPH is good 'til midnight the day I leave. The question is, if I technically paid for the last day but won't have time to use it, can I get a refund for that day?

Patiently waiting for December.

If you purchased your UPH as part of a package, then no. It's a length of stay pass, any unused days expire, and are non-refundable.

If you purchase your UPH at time of check in, you can opt out of the date of arrival and/or departure.

Gee, that was quick. It must be midnight over there.

Thanks for the answer.

Dang, I did book through AAA as a Dream Maker package. I know I could have got the UPH when I got there but I was always seeing "Buy early, save money".

I probably would have saved more money not getting the last day instead of paying ahead of time. Oh well.

I am curious if it would be worth it for me to request a parking lot view as we will have a car and will be driving to waterparks, DTD, etc (we will use the bus system to parks, more likely). I have already requested a nonsmoking king room on the first floor in the 50's or 70's sections. If you drove to parks and stayed at POP, did you find being close to the parking lot helpful or should I just see what I get and deal with it?

I can't wait...see you there August 4-14th!!

I am also trying to do maps (via Mapquest) from POP to waterparks and to DTD before I leave home...I also am having problems with the POP address-it just doesn't want to recognize it! Any suggestions?

:p IVY :p

Tyler-Does "back to where I belong" mean you are returning to Disney transportation?Best wishes for whatever your plans are.:D

Just to let you know, requesting a first floor king is a request that will be very hard to grant. Make sure to prioritize your requests. ie: King is most important, 1st floor is second important, etc. We only have a limited amount of King bed rooms, so it helps the room assignor to prioritize in case an option might not be available.

As for Maps, Pop is not on Mapquest yet. However, I will let you know that upon check-in you will recieve a property map. Also, as long as you follow the signs, you should be fine.

Basically, to get to DTD or TL, as you exit Pop, make a right at the first light (Pop intersection), and then a right at the next light (Buena Vista Drive)

For BB, make a right at the exit light, and then a left at the BVD light. Very simple to get to.

TYLER,

WHAT SECTIONS HAVE SMOKING ROOMS @ PC?
WHERE ARE YOU GOING?????

THANKS

Do they ever take special 'needs' into consideration when they assign the limited number of king rooms? The reason I am asking is that my DBF is 6'5" and I am 5'10" and we have requested a king room due to our height. They did make a note of it on our reservation, but I didn't know if something like that would be taken into consideration.
Thanks :)

If I recall correctly, all decades should have some smoking rooms available.

I will be transferring back to Bus Operations. :)

So I guess I will make the official announcement...

July 31st will be my last day statused at Pop Century. I will be transferring back to Bus Operations. I have enjoyed my time at Pop Century VERY much, especially since it has allowed me to meet probably over a thousand of you folks. I will certainly be sad to leave Pop Century... at least, until I get back into the seat of my bus. :)

I'm transferring for a few reasons... but mostly because Transportation is where my heart and soul is, and within the next year, I'm hoping to move up the ladder within transportation. And I can get a more flexible schedule that will work better with my school schedule.

Between this thread, and the pre-opening thread, we have had 2,000 posts, and over 150,000 hits. One hundred and fifty THOUSAND hits. That's quite a number! LOL I'll still hang around here and help out as much as I can, though. :)

So next time you board a bus, be on the lookout for the Chip & Dale Express! :)

Tyler, you've got to get someone there at Pop Century to take over maintenance of this thread! You are one of the reasons Pop is better than the rest :)

Good luck Tyler.

If they ask you what route you want request the Pop bus.

I'm grateful you tolerated my questions and comments.

Paddle boats still would be cool.

Thanks again for all the help!!!!

Hate to see you go. We did have a bad experience on our last visit to POP. So we will be staying at the CR on our next trip. Then the Boardwalk for New Years. Hope to see you on the bus.

You will always be appreciated. Cast members like you keep the magic alive.

Tyler

Good luck on the job change and school!

We'll be down on Wed. and hope to get a chance to meet you then.

thanks for all your help and patience in answering the same questions over and over again... it is truly appreciated...

now, i know whenever i board a wdw bus i will be reading nametags and hopefully, during our eight days, we will stumble upon you as our driver! best of luck in all that you pursue... and just 'cause you're in transport, doesn't mean your input here won't be needed!
