I know I've seen the Swan/Dolphin and Spaceship Earth. Not sure if one can see the Downtown Disney stuff, though.

Poor Tyler. You need a vaxation. May I suggest Disney Cruise Line?

Actually, I'm on vacation this week, Sun-Thurs... it's much needed. I still have class though, so I can't go anywhere. In about a month, I get my spring break from school, and I have another vacation week (10 days I think) so I'm debating going on the cruise. Just need to find someone to go with!! :)

I'd be looking forward to the 10-day spring break if I was you. I know I look forward to mine at the beginning of March. I get to go to WDW!!
:sunny:

I do not think this will be a problem, but just curious:

For those of you that stayed in the 70's bldg, what room (number) did you get. I cannot tell by the map how the numbers run. I would hate to be in the last room on the other end of the bldg. Does anyone know which floors/rooms are nonsmoking? (I have noted on my reservation a non-smoking room. I have asthma very bad and a smoking room would be disasterous for me.)
We are not getting in until after 11:00 on a Sunday night. I do not want to end up in a room - like the family that ended up in a king room with 2 kids (- totally unacceptable to me) or also in my case a smoking room.

Thanks and have a great day.

Building 6 (6101-6472) is the Mickey Phone building closest to the lake.

Building 10 (0101-0472) is the Big Wheels building close to the 80s.

The first digit is the building number, the second digit is the floor.

Rooms 01-12, and 61-72 are courtyard rooms. 13-24 and 49-60 are back facing rooms, and 25-48 are on the wing.

Help- I treid to fax a room request to Pop and the gal that tried to fax it says the ## does not work-- I used 407-938-4040!! Is that the right number!!
Thanks for your help!

Heidi

I believe that Tyler or Joshua has told us that you will not be able to fax room requests - you should state your request to the CRO and they will note it on your reservation that will then come up on the computer at the front desk - many of the resorts are changing to this method.

When we checked in 2 weeks ago the CM asked us if we had any requests and then she looked for a room that fitted.
That worked quite well, we got a nonsmoking room with a kingsizebed. Just what we wanted:D
And we were checking in on fridaynight at 8.30pm, so the hotel was crowded...

I will be in the 60's building, could anyone tell me what rooms are non-smoking?

Someone on another board had a question about what can be seen from Pop Century. He heard that you can see Spaceship Earth, Planet Hollywood, the Cirque tent, the Swan and Dolphin, and other things from Pop Century. Any of this true? Is there anything that can be seen from Pop Century other than the occasional fireworks?

We were in room 1472, we could see the Tower of Terror and the uppermost fireworks from illuminations from just ouside our door.

This must be a recent change. I faxed my request on Jan. 19 for check in Jan. 23. When we checked in the CM said they did receive my fax. BTW we got all three things I requested - nonsmoking room, 4th flr, 50's section. It was the first time I ever faxed and the first time I got my requests.

Tyler...We will be arriving 4/15-23. We have booked 3 room in the 60's buildings. I would like to make a REQUEST for a room. I read your post regarding room #s. If I understand what you are saying rooms 6101, 6102, 6103 are all first floor facing the pool...correct???? We have 6 kids and would like to be as close to the polls as possible!!!

I think they were talking about the 70's building but maybe all the buildings are numbered the same way?

When we moved to the 70s section we were in room 0164. It was on the first floor, nonsmoking with 2 dbl beds. It is right outside the pop jet area and very close to classic hall and the hippy dippy pool.

Those rooms would be in the 70's. Change the building number to 4 and you would be correct. Buildings 4 & 5 are the Preferred 60's buildings. Check your PM for more info.

First to bethnburke I'm dreadfully sorrie about your inconvenience upon your arrival, I honestly don't know why you weren't taken care of more appropriately when you called they really should have tried harder to reacquaint you with a dbl bed room. So again I'm so sorrie, like Tyler has stated when you press the front desk button on your phone it doesn't connect you with someone at the resort, therefore they don't exactly know what your situation is like.

Next, for lynn55, if you get a chance to talk to someone at the front desk when your children are not around there are a few things we might be able to do: A card from the characters, they will also order birthday cakes (without writing), and we can setup almost anything that you bring or send to us when you are not in the room. Hopefully these suggestions will help!

To StitchExp626 well you I know fer shure that you can see (Spaceship Earth, Tower of Terror, Illuminations kinda, Cirque du Soleil (a little), and intermittent pieces of the Swan and Dolphin. These also requires a clear night, but all in all it's still a pretty view!

For plutojudy like Tyler said we really don't have time stop in the Food Court but if your interested in rootbeer, then tomorrow when I get a chance I'll look to see if they have rootbeer. Get back with you tomorrow or the day after, promise!

Dear momoftwins just so that you know the smoking buildings are 1000 (50's), 8000 (90's), 4000 (60's), and 5000 (60's) and even then there are more non-smoking then smoking buildings! and all rooms that end with 0001, 0012, 0013, 0024, 0025, 0036, 0037, 0048, 0049, 0060, 0061, and 0072 are at the end of the hallways also 0012, 0013, 0036, 0037, 0060, and 0061 are on the outside of the building!

As for Erika'smom's question the fax number for requests is [(407) 938-4040], just keep in mind that sometimes it's busy, so you might have to try a few times! sorrie :0) Also like one other person mentioned you can also make requests upon check-in.

To dennisnlisab96 just so that you know the 60's buildings are 4101 - 4472 & 5101 - 5472 and everything from 0001-0012 & 0061-0072 are pool facing rooms!
