Hey, Ronald Duck! So glad to hear you'll be going back soon! You and your wife will LOVE POP!! (Wish I'd have gotten a postcard - never have and beginning to think I never will)

Although we stayed in the 60's (which is the "preferred"), the 50's and 70's are very popular - and convenient to the buses and the food court. I think you'd be happy with either. (I'm so jealous!)

POP was awesome!!! I want to be there right now! It puts all the other value resorts to shame! My family enjoyed ourselves more at POP then we did at Grand Floridian, I swear!

We check-ed in with a long long (Monday right after Hurricane weekend) line which only took about 5 minutes! Our room was in the 60's facing the Hourglass Lake and the semi-constructed Legendary years building.

The rooms were clean, good bedding, and overall layout was great.

The resort as a whole was amazing and I feel a lot better overall compared to the All-Stars (well it only makes sense since it's newer and they improved on everything).

Only complain was our neighbors at VERY EARLY and VERY LATE times decided to put their door lock thing so that the door wouldn't close, causing a loud bang over and over and over...and over....

Otherwise I can't wait to go back!!

Glad to hear you liked it. We'll be there (again!) in about 10 days. For the money, it really can't be beat. I think it is more "moderate lite" than value, imho.

So glad to hear your family enjoyed POP, Mike! It really is a GREAT resort, isn't it?!! I don't have anything against the All Stars, but POP is head and shoulders above them! Well, Welcome Home - even tho I'm sure you'd rather be back at POP (I know I'd rather be there!) :)

I requested the 50's building, I thought I read somewhere that the big statues of Lady and the Tramp were at that location. I dont know for sure, but I love lady and tramp too.

have a great time.

Correct, those statues are there and fit/look great! I can't get over the fact how great of a value this hotel is and that it ranks right up there with many of the more $$ Disney hotels in meeting our needs and being a great deal.

We just got back from our second stay at POP last Tuesday. We were there last New Years. The first time we stayed in the 60's bldg, but this time we went for the 70's. The parking was closer in the 70's and it was a 2 minute walk to the food court.

We have stayed at the All Stars Music several times, and I much prefer POP. THe staff was awesome during Hurricane Charley and kept us informed of everything.

We stayed in the Lady bldg. two weeks ago with our kids DD-9 and DD-6. It was the perfect location! So close to the Bowling Pin pool and a very short walk to the food court and Hippy Dippy pool. Both the Lady and the Tramp icons are so adorable....and HUGE!

Have fun!

POP vets...

I know that Buildings A, B, and C are the 3 buildings in the 50's...what are the letters of the Lady building and the Tramp building?

Thanks.

There's also a 60's A & B, 70's A & B, and 80's A & B.

50's A (Building 1) is Lady, 50's B (Building 2) is the Jukebox, and 50's C (Building 3) is Tramp.

How is the 70's section split according to icon? Thanks :teeth:

70's A (Building 6) is the Mickey Phone, and 70's B (Building 10) is the Big Wheels.

As a newcomer to this thread, that goes for me, too:p

Sorry if this question has been answered before...I want to request a King Room for me and my DW, but I know they're relatively scarce. However, I really want us to be in the 50's, since Lady and the Tramp are "our" icons:rolleyes:

My question is...at the beginning of December, what do you think the chances are that they'll be able to give us a King in the 50's section? Would it be smarter to make "50's" my first choice and make King my second choice?

Thanks...you folks are getting me really up for this trip:bounce: :Pinkbounc

This hotel DESERVES to be on the first page, so BUMP !!!!!

Pop Century ..... value plus or moderate lite, you choose!

Hi!

I am thinking about staying at POP the day before our cruise. If I purchase DCL transfers - will they pick me up at POP? Or do I need to go somewhere else? (This is for the 14-day PC cruise; so I am not sure if anyone can really answer this, but thanks anyway!)
