Here's a photo of the view from our Garden View CL room in Hawaii:

We are staying GVCL and I was starting to wonder if I made a mistake, but the view from your room is lovely. Do you remember what room # you had. Also do you reccommend a particular floor? I'm going back and forth between 1st and 3rd.

The garden CL rooms will not have a parking lot view. You may see the quiet pool or the next building. We just got back from the Poly and had a lagoon view CL room and did love it. We were back in our room almost every night by 10 and got to watch the fireworks from our balcony which was just great. And when we were able to get 3 of the nights for free with the buy 4 get 3 deal, it really did make it a bit more reasonable as far as the cost.

Thanks, that is good to know. I wish we had gotten in on that deal as we need 3 rooms for our family, so upgrading to LV, just wasn't in the cards this trip.

Glad I could help! :goodvibes Our view was really nice. While we had a 2nd floor room without a balcony, we had a great view of that quiet pool and the paths where you could see people riding the surrey bikes. It was really nice.

I forget the exact room number but we were closer to the opposite side of the Hawaii longhouse from where the lounge was. About 2 rooms down from the doors to exit the longhouse.

As for floor preferences, they've changed as my DD has gotten older. I personally prefer a patio floor room if you have young children because you don't have to haul the stroller into the elevator. Plus the kids have their own 'play space' outside. My DD loved that when she was 5 - 8. Now that she's 9, I like the higher up view since when we're in our room she's either watching TV or playing the Wii. :thumbsup2

Thanks MsStinkerBelle !!!!! Great pic! I think the only request I will make is 3rd floor so we can have a balcony.

Its odd... I can't click on anything in Tikiman's site. The first/home page loads, but I can't click on none of the links or pics. Tried from my home PC, laptop, and work PC.

Same for me. I thought maybe it was just my work laptop or connection. I was able to navigate from home on Sunday night, but the site was slow to move around.

I've also had those problems with that site and internet explorer, but it was able to work with firefox.

We leave tomorrow morning!! Should be at the Poly around lunchtime on Friday! No laptop, so I'll report in when we return on May 9/10. Any questions or anything someone would like me to check on?

Thanks Ms Stinkerbelle!! DD's are 11 and 13 so thank goodness they're out of strollers :cool1:

No offense to those who still have little ones, I'm just glad those days are over for me:goodvibes.

The Illuminations cruise is really nice, and makes a great surprise. The best part is that you'll have front-row seats for it, and you wont have to wait for them or deal with pushy people! We really enjoyed ours -- my DD was 3 1/2 years old back then, and she had a great time, too.
I did this last December with some friends and my two daughters (5 and 4 at the time). They both loved it and my younger daughter especially wants to do it again. That was her favorite part of the trip. That and the pretzels at the MK. Apparently, I could have saved a lot of money by just taking her to Auntie Anne's.
WiscMomof2 - I dream of stroller-free days. Actually, I'm hoping to get a 1st floor room in case someone is outside on the beach and has to use the restroom, we don't have the drama of running through the longhouse to get there in time.

Have a great time Sandy!
Maybe you can be on the lookout for tiki-style cabanas on the Poly beach :beach:
Enjoy! :wave2:

Just save me some sunshine and a poolside table--we arrive soon after your departure!

Have a GREAT TIME!!! We are finally doing the single digit dance:banana::banana::banana::banana:

Not quite dancing yet, but very soon! Enjoy the anticipation!

You're very welcome!

Hmmm, I'm at Tikiman's site now and am able to click the links and get pages to load without a problem. And I'm using IEvilexplorer7. :rotfl:

Enjoy your trip! Have a LapuLapu for me. :thumbsup2

Oh, I understand the sentiment. It wasn't that long ago I was wheeling a stroller around WDW. Now when I get there I'm prone to ask out loud, "Where the heck did all these strollers come from?" :lmao: DD9 wants me to get married soon so she can have a sibling but I'm not too anxious to become a 'stroller jockey' again just yet. ;)

:rotfl:We feel so liberated now that we don't have to travel everywhere with a stroller and a carseat! We moved so much faster now that we don't have to deal with a stroller anymore!

No kidding! I'll never forget the first time we walked down Main St. USA without a stroller. HEAVEN! :cloud9:
