Woo Hoo! I'm at the airport awaiting my flight to Orlando!! I'll be staying with a friend this weekend then check into the Poly on Monday!!! :woohoo:

:banana:I hope you have a magical time there... Let us all know what it's like at the Poly (this week;)). I'm sure it's wonderful there...:cloud9:

So is it the same in reverse - going home? We want to try dinner at Cape May (Beach Club) and were wondering how to get back and forth. To come home, we'd have to take a bus to MK and then boat or monorail back to Poly??

Another question - when you arrive via monorail or boat to MK and then transwer to a bus to another resort - how far do you have to walk from monorail or boat dock to get to the busses??[/QUOTE]

Why not take the monorail to EP, walk through FutureWorld, out the International Gateway and take a boat to the Beach Club? It's a very pretty ride.

I think they are alfalfa (I am sure I spelled that wrong) ones - the green ones that make you think you are eating grass. I am sure you could ask for them not to be on there.

Liz

Thanks Liz. I'm ok with that kind of sprout, although I don't think I'd like it. I'd rather not have grass in my grilled cheese! ;)

:lovestruc

It was great! If you have any ?'s let me know! We loved it. We originally were assigned to the monorail side at Rarotonga, but I asked to switch to the non-monorail side and we were changed and the room was ready at 11:30 am! I loved staying on the ground floor so we could sit out on the patio and the kids loved gecko hunting!

Just back from a week at the Poly. It was our first time there and we loved, loved, loved it. It will be our new home resort. We stayed in Tokelau building with a garden view. When we stepped out on the balcony, we had a view of the lagoon and the Grand Floridian. Beautiful!

The only downside was the fighting couple next door to us. The wife had to call security on the husband one night. We saw them in the hallway before we left and they were still at it.:sad2:

I don't plan to have hoppers so unless we are at Epcot that day - this wouldn't work for us. :sad2: We're going in December when the parks close early plus our girls are normally asleep by 730p so we didn't see a need for hoppers.

Any problems with gecko's in the rooms on the ground floor? I'd LOVE a ground floor but DH worries about lizards and roaches getting into the room. :scared1: Did you get the refillable mugs - happen to notice if, indeed, the Apple Juice is gone from the refill station at Captain Cooks? And, happen to notice how much sand toys were at the gift shop?
Glad you had a fabulous trip!!

I just posted my first pre-trip report. 18 months early. Yeah. I'm eager to go. :)

That is an idea too. So far we have about $500 in rewards on our disney card. We are planning to use that for spending money while we are there. We are doing the dining plan but we always pay for extras out of pocket, also this will be used towards tips and souveniers.

How long do you plan to stay? I just booked a 5 day stay May 6th through May 10th. Prices aren't out yet but I got a tentative price of $3000 for CL at the Poly. :scared1: Holy Moly. I've never stayed CL, if it weren't for my 22nd wedding anniversary and a big fat surprise for my husband I would have second thoughts lol.

I want to know if anyone has ever taken the Monirail from the Poly to Epcot and then walked to the World Showcase gate to get to the Boardwalk? The reason I ask is my wife wants to avoid using the buses. It seems that she has a strong disliking for the buses.

I told her that her plan sounded very time consuming and alot of extra walking. specially with two small kids (2 and 4). I suggested going to the MK and taking a bus to the Boardwalk.

So if anyone has done the monirail-epcot-boardwalk trip how long did it take? Or if anyone has done the monirail-epcot-boat to DS how did that take?

Thanks,

I've done that and it's exhausting! But then I felt like I was running a marathon! Last Sept. we left Houston on one of the last flights out before Hurricane Ike hit Houston/Galveston area. Hubby is member of Emergency Management Team in our small town west of Houston and had to stay behind. He arrived at WDW the Monday after the hurricane hit. Had spent part of the day at HS with daughter and her family and wanted to explore Boardwalk that afternoon. When her Dad arrived she made dinner reservations at Kona but since they were last minute had to take what was available. They called me an hour before those reservations ... it took me almost the entire hour to get back to the Poly! It REALLY is a long, though beautiful, walk. If your planning a leisurely day it would be okay but it is pretty "involved".

We will be going for 6 nights. There will be four of us (DH, DD, DS, and me). We will do the park hopper and the dining plan. I think for all of this my estimate with today prices was around 5000 for a GV CL room. I priced all the rooms with today's prices and it was a bit more for TP room. I would rather have the CL then just a view of the park.

We have lots in common...last year we had the same view AND the same neighbors. DD learned all types of new words on that trip. I finally called security the second night but that just ticked the guy off more and then he decided to take his raging words into the hallway screaming not "thank" but another word that starts with an F...you to whoever called security. They were either kicked out or moved that night, but it was pretty intense. The saddest thing...they had little kids. :sad2:

I'm glad you loved the Poly despite the "noise"!

It is sad that people have to act that way. I really don't understand it. Everday I am amazed how people act.

We always plan our dinner at the Beach Club on the day we are spending at Epcot. We usually spend the daytime hours in Future World and then leave via the back entrance to get to the Beach Club for dinner. Then we reenter the park via the back and continue through the countries in the evening.

I sure don't remember sprouts being on the adult grilled cheese. :confused3 Maybe that's new. I don't do sprouts so I know I didn't have them on my sandwich.

I wonder how sprouts would stand up to melted cheese and the grilling process?

I do not remember them being on there either. I know that on my parents grilled cheese there was tomatoes.

I also don't remember them because when I would order it on their touch screen system I was able to put down that I did not want any Blue Cheese. So if there was sprouts on there I would have also made sure to not include them on the sandwich.

Oh, you are able to do that?
I know when my mother split it with my father she said that the sandwich tasted like feet and she opened up the sandwich and there was the blue cheese so she said that she couldn't eat anymore. I did not know that you can make specifications.

I actually asked one of the Cast Members how to make changes so he showed me what to do and it was very easy once I figured it out.
