No probably not.

It would just be sweet to secure next years trip with a 30% discount instead of the watch and wait game. In 2008 i decided if WDW doesn't offer a deal that i can take advantage of than we will book Swan/Dolphin resorts again. Of course, i do miss my fav the Poly but I don't miss all of the money i save. Last year i saved $1100 by switching to the Swan.

I hear you. I'm hoping there will be new dates for BB when we go in the summer. Not that I am supposed to be thinking of things like that... really.:rolleyes1

Well we're home. Only ended up staying at the Poly 4 nights. Decided it wasnt for us.

The view and the transportation were awesome but thats just about all we liked. Had a few issues that left a bad taste in my DH's mouth. I think we are probably just in the group that just doesnt get it LOL. We will probably try it again just to give it a second chance. I do want to thank you all for all of your information and for this thread.

We stayed GV and just loved it! The views of the gardens are breathtaking. Rest assured, you will love being anywhere on the property.:thumbsup2

4 more days then I'm off to Orlando!! A week from today I'll be checking in to the Poly! Woo Hoo! I'm so excited!!! Now I need to finish packing!

I have never stayed at the Poly, but am hoping I will soon!
I do have some questions about the room views. I was going to book a standard view, however, it seems that everone wants to book a MK/Theme Park view or a LV CL room. Is this a must to get the full POLY effect? Maybe I am missing something since I have never stayed there. Would I be missing out by not getting one of these rooms?
I thought It would be neat to have a monorail view or a pool view. Help!!!

We've stayed both views....personally, I like the garden view!! I stay there b/c of the lush gardens-the whole theme there. We've yet to have a bad room view there. I don't think you'd be missing out by not having a lagoon view/castle view. We have a trip booked for CL but due to our work issues we may have to re-schedule....I don't think you would be missing out at all!!!

:banana:Lucky You!!! I hope you have a fantastic time there -- it is such a wonderful place!

The bounceback offer in our room was an out of date card that began with dates in 2008! I asked at the reception desk and was given a piece of paper with a number circled and told to call from the phone in our room. It turns out the CM had directed me to the wrong # for a bounceback but the person I was connected with transferred me to the proper #. I was able to book the dates I wanted for December but not get into the resort I wanted. I learned that December 6-12 is blacked out for the bounceback offer so we will pay regular rate for days 6 & 7.

Another thing I forgot to mention in my report of our May trip was that not all rooms in the Poly have the shelves under the sink. We were in Tokelou 2910 and there was absolutely no shelving under the bathroom sink. Perhaps when they refurbished the bathroom they did away with that. The wallpaper looked very new.

90 DAYS AND COUNTING!!!!

I did my ADR's tonight. No Le Cellier (my favourite), but Kona breakfasts and dinner. We're doing Coral Reef for the first time, and I'm looking forward to that, too. DH will love the buffet at 1900 Park Faire and I've booked the Luau. Hmmm. Looks like were staying close to the Poly for most of the time. ;)

cleaning/packing so ready for Vacation! Look for us we will be the one with drooling screaming kids!:cool1::rotfl2::yay:pirate:

I washed DH's crocs and packed them...he was looking all over the house for them this evening and DD8 ratted me out and showed them where they were.:rolleyes1 I can't control myself....i must pack everyt:rolleyes1hing NOW!!!

See ya soon.

We are all packed and ready to go to the Poly, too! But we don't leave until Wednesday.:(
I have to go to work tomorrow, and DD has to do a service project at school. My mom has declared that no one can wear any more clothes, because she's done all the laundry she's going to do - ha!

The three of us are sooo ready to be there - it's been 7 years since we last stayed at the Poly. Here's hoping we have at least a little sunshine while we're there!

Same here! DD has her last reading/book report project and I can't *wait* for it to be over--along with school. My concentration at work is well, pretty much shot until vacation. LOL!

I washed our Crocs on Saturday! :lmao: I've got all the suitcases out in the living room and open and have started packing. If I don't do that I'll go nutz.

We don't leave until end of August and already its all I can talk about! LOL Our first stay at the Poly so everyone is excited about that. We have been at the resort for dinner and to check it out and the kids requested it for this trip. So, I told my DH what can we do? We can't disappoint the kids , right?:rolleyes1 :lmao:

We ate at Coral Reef for the first time last month! It was REALLY good... we enjoyed it!

It's our 1st trip to the Poly too! My mom has always wanted to stay at this resort. It feels like a dream come true to be able to take her there along with my two younger cousins who've never been to WDW.:wizard:

I've warned their parents that they're coming completely Disney spoiled.:lmao:

I am jealous of all of you who are heading out soon. Looking forward to hearing your trip reports.
