I just made the mistake of reading a thread about people who've had snakes in their rooms at DW! :scared1::eek::scared1::eek::scared1::eek::scared1:

At a glance (it was like a trainwreck, I knew I shouldn't be LOOKING at that thread but I couldn't stop myself!!!) I didn't notice any from Poly but I had to come here to ask you all! Please, please be honest - has anyone had a snake in their room and/or bed?? Or lizards in your sheets? Roaches???

I used to live in Florida - grew up in Clearwater - and roaches were pesky. But I have never seen a lizard or snake inside! I would absolutely pee myself and die! Maybe best to request upper floor???

We had an adorable lizardy-type dude in our bathtub....and this was on the 3rd floor! :rolleyes1 DH gently escorted him outside... lol

He's good to keep around he is harmless and will eat the bugs. The snakes are the things I hate the most.

Well the Wagon Queen Family Truckster is loaded up and headin' out! Next stop....Walt Disney World! The Polynesian or Bust! I'll be sure to check in when we are at the Poly and give some reports on what's going on there.

We thought he was adorable but DS didn't want him in there while he took a shower.

DD & her BF had them last June and I NEVER GOT ONE! That will be the first order of business on our next trip "home" to the Poly!

It took us several trips before we finally got them, too! They were worth the wait and we have one on every trip now. We also love the Pina-CoLAVAs. :thumbsup2 They are basically a pina-colada with raspberry sauce drizzled inside the glass.

SEASPRAY...you have made me sooooooo hungry for those pancakes!!! OMG! I LOVE those things!:dance3:

Me too! I hate to even look at my own pictures because they make me hungry for them. LOL

WOO HOO! Have a great time!!

We'll be taking our own Family Truckster on a road trip this weekend to visit my brother and SIL in Albany, NY. I know we'll have a lot of fun, but it's not quite the same as going to WDW.

Got out luggage tags and vouchers yesterday...:cool1::thumbsup2..30 days until we leave for the Poly:banana:

Safe travels to both of you. Can't wait to read any reports. Have magical vacations and of course, Aloha!

Have a fantastic trip!
This is one of the reasons why I wish we lived closer to Disney (besides the most obvious reason of all!) ... I love a road trip!
Can't wait to hear your reports!

us too!!!! See you there!:yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay:
Hope you have a great trip too!

I can handle lizards. But only b/c I grew up in Florida and used to love playing with them. (Fact: if their tail breaks off, they regenerate a new one!) Not that I'd want one in my hotel room, mind you - for fear of one crawling on me while I sleep. But if I saw one outside, I'd have fun watching the little fella!

Me thinks me will request 3rd floor - better safe than sorry. A snake in my room would topple me over the edge and I'd need sleeping pills to get to sleep the rest of the week! LOL

OK so you all are making me thirsty for a Lapu Lapu. Remind me - what is in it? Does it taste strong of alcohol? I'm not a huge alcohol fan but I may have to make an exception to drink one in a pineapple! UNLESS they'd put something NON ALCOHOLIC in there for a whimp like me - and maybe even charge me LESS! :worship::cool1::worship:

Thanks, Johnsonet!

You're welcome :)

LOL! :lmao:You ladies know EVERYTHING! :rotfl2:This board amazes me! LOVE this place!

It IS pretty funny what can get answered on these boards

Regarding the coffee and filters - is there a coffee maker in the room? And if so, will they replenish the coffee you used when you ask for more? Or are you out of luck at that point? Although I think we'll get the refillable mugs (not on CL, darn it) and I'm assuming coffee can go in the mugs as well as soda, right?? Although everyone here has scared me about the coffee at Disney. :scared1: I am NOT a coffee expert by any means but for some reason, when someone else makes it-I love it. I just don't make it for myself when I'm here at home!

If you don't make coffee at home - I wouldn't worry about it. Coffee is a major part of my life  So I make special provisions for it! Yes, you can fill your refillable mug with coffee :thumbsup2 And, yes, there are coffeemakers in the room with a small packet of coffee in a filter, creamer, sweetener and swizzle stick :coffee: Mousekeeping should replenish that supply daily.

I've stayed at WDW 30+ times in the last 15 years and I have never had a snake in my room. Only once or twice have I even SEEN a snake there, which is pretty amazing, I think.
I DETEST roaches and I don't remember ever seeing one at WDW either, which again is incredible considering... I posted this back in March but this is the closest we've come to having "wildlife" in the room :upsidedow

LOL! We use to live in Tampa, those DA** roaches are terrible there!!:scared1: Not to mention, the size of a compact car!:rotfl2:

:rotfl: Roaches are the WORST :scared:

Good Morning Poly Friends. We finally woke up to the sun today here in Chicagoland! :sunny:

I hope those who were heading to the Poly are there and enjoying the magic.:wizard: Please report back to us!

I am anxiously awaiting 2010 packages to come out. I have my room only booked but am wondering if there will be any changes to the dining plan, or even Disney's marketing scheme, i.e., Celebrations.

I know the Princess Half marathon is new, did anyone run it last year? Just wondering!

Have a happy weekend everyone! :goodvibes

I'm considering changing my res from early Dec to January unless some big deals come out soon! I got a great rate from Magical Vacations however I can't get past the fact that I can't add on the meal plan with them. I really, REALLY want the meal plan and not have to nickel and dime myself the whole way trying to plan my meals/snacks out. So I keep praying for some kind of good deal for early December but I'm starting to loose hope!
Anyone know if Jan is a good time for Disney to offer deals???

What's the diff (weather-wise) going in Jan instead of December??

THANKS!
Melanie

That picture is the reason, my daughter is scared to death to have a first floor room. At the Poly, she does not want a second floor because there is no balcony - I hope she doesn't see the lizard in the bath tub on the third floor - we are running out of options here!!!!!:rotfl:
