I agree. We stayed in the Hawaii longhouse room #3502 last July and the music was pretty loud. Not just Wishes but the all day resort music loop as well.

Yep, that's how it was during our stay this past December. I made note of it because the music wasn't that loud near Tuvalu and it was slightly loud near Samoa.

Keep in mind your proximity to the TTC. I think it would have been quicker to have taken the express monorail from MK to the TTC rather than the resort monorail since it goes to Contemporary and the TTC first.

When I was there 2 weeks ago the worst bus experience I had was leaving DHS. I didn't look at my watch to see just how long the wait was but I'd say at least 30 min. At least 3 Epcot busses and 2 for TTC went by before our Poly bus came. I debated on switching to one of those but stuck it out.

I forgot that DHS and I think AK also have busses that go to Epcot and the TTC - that is a great alternative for getting back to the Poly. Thanks for the reminder!

Good morning, everyone! I've been pretty busy and have a lot of catch up reading to do :) I was wondering if anyone knows if we can download any of the Polynesian songs off of Itunes? I searched for awhile last night and couldn't come up with anything :( I did find the hukilau song, but that was it. Any ideas? :confused3 After our stay at the WL, I downloaded a bunch of songs and it was nice to relax, listen to the lobby music at home, and close my eyes and pretend I was still there. Of course now, my resort of choice is the Poly and although I can listen to it on Tikiman's site, it would be nice to get it on my IPOD and listen to it anywhere! :goodvibes I hope you all have been well and are looking forward to summer as much as I am...only three more days left of school then I'm off for the summer with my sweet DD

Here are my two cents :)

MK - Monorail from Poly is the quickest. The Ferry is a neat ride but it will take longer! So go ahead and take it if you have some time to relax & enjoy the ride (usually best leaving MK going to the Poly)
EP - Walk to TTC and take Monorail
AK - Bus (don't go on early morning days)
HS - Bus
DD - CAB! The bus takes forever...
BB - Bus
TL - Bus

Other tips:
You can walk to the Grand Floridian or take a quick monorail ride. I like to walk around and shop there. Or you can have tea (or young ladies can do that with Alice in Wonderland!)

Take the monorail to the Contemporary for dinner then you can walk to MK.

Enjoy the Boardwalk after Epcot one day (or before!). Take the monorail to Epcot, walk to the back "International/Hotel" entrance/exit and walk to the Boardwalk or Yacht/Beach Club. You could also take a ferry to HS from the Epcot hotel area. Then you could take a bus back to the Poly from HS. If you don't go to HS, go back through Epcot and take the monorail back to the Poly. But this is a lot of travelling & walking so only do this if you are ready for all the walking (remember, Epcot is REALLY big).

Sometimes, the bus rides back to the hotel can be exhausting, especially if you have small kids. If you want to spring for a cab, that's fine - it's your vacation!

Have so much fun!!!

Thank you so much for all the wonderful advice! I am adding all your suggestions to my Disney Schedule spreedsheet. My family thinks I'm nuts with all this planning, but I think it is worth it.

I agree. We stayed in the Hawaii longhouse room #3502 last July and the music was pretty loud. Not just Wishes but the all day resort music loop as well. It actually bordered on too loud. Lucky I love that music! I hear such varying reports on the music volume levels at the Poly, that I have to believe they are constantly changing it. Either way, I would suggest hanging out right in front of the Hawaii lounge windows, there is a speaker right there in the foliage. I'll give a "volume report" when we get there in a week!!!:yay:

Only 6 Days :yay:

Do you mean the big ferry from the TTC or the launches from the resort? The launches from the resort may be faster than the monorail depending on which longhouse you are in and timing. They used to run 3 boats and it was usually faster to take the boat, but lately when we have been there they were only running 2 boats. With 2 boats running it probably will take longer than the monorail. The ferry runs from the TTC to MK, not the fastest way to get there, but it is a nice ride.
We always drive to AK, DHS, and DTD.

I guess I meant the boat launches from the resort. I didn't know about the big ferry - I'm a newbie! We are staying club level which I believe is the Hawaii building.

Everyone has been so wonderful with sharing their advice. Thank you!

Everyone has been so great with helping figure out what transportation system to take where - I have another question:

Assuming that I want to be at each park (including waterparks) at rope drop, what time should I leave the resort?

Thanks again in advance!

I really just wanted to see my ticker--SINGLE DIGIT TERRITORY!!!!

We love the big ferry from the TTC to MK. I have an ECV and the on/off is super friendly, and we all love the view and the lovely breeze.

Hey Melody - it's our first time at the Poly & club as well. Have a magical trip!

To be safe, be at the bus stop about 45 minutes before park opening. This allows for wait time at the bus stop itself before the bus arrives to pick you up. You could always do earlier (theme park buses start running about 6:30 a.m. daily ... don't believe the widely spread but false rumor that bus service starts 1 hour before park opening), but don't do any later than 45 minutes prior if you want to make sure you get to rope drop at each theme park.

You're welcome! At DHS the bus for the TTC is just before the bus for the Poly. So it's easy to catch whichever bus comes first.

I went looking about 2 weeks ago and came up with nothing so far. Nothing exactly from the Poly 'loop' except what you found. They may be proprietary recordings that aren't released on iTunes. :sad1:

Enjoy the summer with your DD! Mine gets out of school on Thursday AM and we're heading straight to WDW afterwards!

Hi MsStinkerBelle!

I'll keep looking and maybe we'll be able to dig something up between the two of us ( or someone else? :confused3)

Have a great time at WDW! I'd give anything to go back in 5 days! Be sure to let us know about your trip when you return...have you tried CSR before?

I sure hope so. I love the music they play at the Poly. Don't they know there are those of us with iPods who are 'dying' to have this music on our playlists? :confused3

Thanks! I'll have my laptop (and aircard) with me so I'll try to post while I'm there. We've got a lot of ADRs over at the Poly and DD is staying 2x at the Neverland Club. So we're just Poly-crashing this time. :rotfl:

I've never stayed at CSR before. When I heard they have the same queen beds as used in the deluxes, I decided to go for it. The beds at the mods and values really hurt my back. But the ones at the Poly (and the AKL) are just :cloud9:. I'll post about CSR while I'm there too. :thumbsup2

Too funny! I have a 70 page 'Mouse Tips' document that I send to family & friends and that doesn't include the spreadsheets I have for our budget, hours, and dining reservations :) I'm constantly updating them and they are so useful for each of our trips. Of course, I get a joy out of the planning ALMOST as much as the vacation :rotfl:

Woo hoo! Only 5 days 'till we leave for the Poly!:yay::yay::yay:
...sorry, couldn't contain myself and I knew you guys would understand:thumbsup2

How long will it take to get from the Poly to MK? Is best way (trying to get there for rope drop) by monorail or by boat?

How about Animal Kingdom? Best route and how long? THANKS!!
