I graduate today y'all! I'm the first in my family to graduate college. I'm so grateful dh & 3 kids will be there to celebrate such a blessing with me! Then in exactly a month we're off to celebrate:cool1:
That is wonderful Congratulations!!
party:

I was waiting for someone to notice that and you are the first! More info to come later, stay tuned to this thread.

You're a sneaky one aren't ya'!

You know some of us are not very patient :rolleyes1

cindianne320-If you are doing a package booked with WDW that has tickets and room you should get Mickey Mail. I know I get all happy about it because once I have that in hand I know it's OFFICIAL :rotfl:

I was plugging along getting all kinds of things done and then my grandfather unexpectedly passed away last week. This threw my whole family off. He wasn't young (everyone must think this matters because they keep saying, "At least he lived a long life"), but it was still not expected. In any case, I think I have fallen behind a little with things. I am taking a day off of work soon just to recoup and get myself back into the hang of things. We went out of town and then came back and there are mounds of laundry everywhere. I just need to get some thing accomplished. I need to finish the kids autograph book, but need more plastic pages. I also really need to get the countdown calendar up and going. Then I need to pack some things that we only use for Disney. I have to get in gear.

I am so sorry. :flower3:

I'm interested to hear opinions from people who have done it both ways. I was planning on doing online check in since I think it makes check in just a little faster and we have to get there at 7am to check in so we can make it to CRT at 8:30. But, we really want the Toy Story building of ASM, and I think I read somewhere it's easier to get your "requests" if you check in with a real person??:confused3

I've heard what the PP said. Online check in is faster because everything is ready to go. If you have a request you feel strongly about, you should probably wait until you get there because you don't want to hold up the line asking for changes. Better waiting and making requests in person before your room is assigned. At 7 am, I doubt you'll find too many people waiting to check in!

That is awesome! CONGRATULATIONS party:

(I'll never forget the day I got my master's degree and my kids were there. I could hear my older son yell "YAY Mommy" all the way down those stadium steps  A nicer celebration I think than when I graduated before having kids)

That's weird... I always do "room only" (we don't need tickets) and i always get the whole packet (meaning I get the luggage tags every time) :confused3

Also, just booked Aulani for December...so excited!! :yay:

you're back from your trip! Welcome back! did you have a great time? Are you gonna do a mini TR before your next trip?? :goodvibes

The trip was AWESOME! (shhhh... we were upgraded to theme park view!) I swear our view from the room was the most beautiful sight ever. I have absolutely no complaints- I was drowned in pixie dust from arrival to departure! :cloud9:

Now... to finish the school year, completely move out of my classroom, and prepare for the next trip (the big one). Man. I'm exhausted. :rotfl2:

Today I went on a little shopping trip and found some great things for the kids for Disney. I found a glow stick wand for my little princess and a glow stick sword for my pirate loving son. I think they will love them but I am not going to give them to them until we get to Disney and we watch Wishes one night. I also got cute Disney tattoos. There were princesses, Mickey and Friends, and Phineas and Ferb tattoos. We always let our kids get a tattoo in Disney when we go, but they always wash off so fast so we figured we would look for some here so it would be easy to replace them. And....my search paid off today. I am so happy! That will be another surprise for Disney. I have a lot of things to pack now. Now, I just need to get some more ponchos and I am set! Yay! :dance3:

those would be perfect for my nieces and nephews!! were did you get them??? My kids got them for halloween from a friend but don't know where they got them..

3 weeks to go! Did the Photopass pre-order today. My family have all bought lots of good summer in the parks clothes. Soooooo excited!!!!:banana::banana:

ok so i made an "official" photo pass decision today, I'm not doing it. for a few simple reasons

1 I hate pictures of myself.
2 I will be there with my cousin and we can swap off taking each others pictures in the important places ie in front of the castle ect, No they wont be "professional" but it will be a pic of me and dd together having fun regardless.
3 since i lost my job recently, the 50 that would have been my half could be better spent buying dd a souvenir.

soo now I just have to tell dc and hope she agrees with me!

Yeah for you...boo for me...
the bad thing about booking via a travel agent..you have to wait so much longer to get your Mickey Mail :( only 18 days left for me...hopefully we will get the call next week!
I booked through a travel agent too... with 18 days to go I would be calling my travel agent to see why it hasn't arrived. Hope you get it soon. ;)

Friday Night Questions! Packing and Planning addition!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) Have you received Mickey Mail? If so, what? Not yet, but we don't go until the end of June.

2) Do you pack specific clothes just for Disney (shirts, shoes, etc)? If so, let us know what. Yes, Mickey t-shirts, specific Disney clothes for the kids mostly special Disney shirt to wear each day, my favorite most comfortable sandals

3) Do you recommend online check-in or not? Why? If you want to be quick and are not concerned about room requests, then I say yes. If you have a specific room request in mind, then I say, wait and skip online check-in. We have had more luck with requests this way.

4) Are you making a specific room request? We just want to make sure that we are close to the lobby at AVK. Other than that, we don't really care.

5) Name 5 things that we should NOT forget to pack for Disney? Make sure you have all your confirmation # for hotels, ADRS, etc., pack a couple pairs of shoes in case one gets wet, don't forget ponchos or something to keep you dry, camera, all the chargers for EVERYTHING

6) Give a restaurant review of one of the places on the June list that people will be visiting. (see page 1- pick any restaurant and review)
My restaurant review if for 'Ohana. This is a staple for our family. It is a must that you get to this ADR a little early. There always seems to be a line especially at dinner. We love the potstickers and shrimp are our favorite. My son could live off of the noodles they serve. Sometimes the meat can be a little dry and it's not my favorite part of the meal, but everything else is always rather tasty. We love that when they ask you how many shrimp you want, they always give you more than what you ask for. Our kids really enjoy the entertainment and the coconut broom race/parade around the restaurant. The banana bread pudding is my absolute favorite dessert to eat at Disney. It is so yummy.

7) Give a hotel review for a place on property. Tell someone your favorite thing to do at that hotel. (see page 1- pick an hotel and tell your favorite thing to do)

WL- Our favorite thing to do at WL is to explore the wonderful lobby in our free time. We love sitting by the fire place in the big rocking chairs even during the summer months. We really enjoy the water fall that runs through the lobby down to the pool. Our kids always make wishes for our trip. We always rub Humphries nose for good luck and ask him for a little pixie dust along the way. Finding the Hidden Mickeys on the scavenger hunt around the hotel is a lot of fun. It's a great down time activity, while little ones are taking a nap or while you just want a minute to relax and the music in the lobby is the best. (Writing this kind of makes me wish we were going to WL this year)

8) Would you be interested in a DisMeet for June? Yes, I am always up for meeting new people and what better place to do it but Disney.

9) Are you going to sport your LGMH or June logo? If so, should we stop and say hello? I will be sporting both on our bags. Stop and say hello. (That is unless the kids are having a meltdown and then by all means, run, run, run!

10) What things should we remember to do for while we are away? (Ex: have cats fed, stop mail, stop newspaper?)
We are making sure we stop the paper and the mail. Our neighbors are feeding our fish and watching the house. ;)

1) Have you received Mickey Mail? If so, what? Nope. Not for this trip, but I'm not sure i was supposed to- i rented DVC points.

2) Do you pack specific clothes just for Disney (shirts, shoes, etc)? If so, let us know what. anything with ears on it (and any shorts I own that doin't make my legs look fat in pictures.

3) Do you recommend online check-in or not? Why? Yes- I always do it this way and check-in takes minutes.

4) Are you making a specific room request? No- winging it. we have no special needs this time, save the requests for those who need them I guess.

5) Name 5 things that we should NOT forget to pack for Disney? Moleskin, deodorant, Tylenol, your ID, $$$$$

6) Give a restaurant review of one of the places on the June list that people will be visiting. (see page 1- pick any restaurant and review) Tusker House Safari Breakfast with Donald- the most amazingly fun, tasty and enjoyable buffet we experienced on the last vacation. Too bad we couldn't get an ADR this time.

7) Give a hotel review for a place on property. Tell someone your favorite thing to do at that hotel. (see page 1- pick an hotel and tell your favorite thing to do) Wilderness Lodge- early early morning... sit on a lounge chair at the pool, when there are only ducks taking a dip, sipping some terribly horrible Nescafe, savor the moment- not the coffee

8) Would you be interested in a DisMeet for June? I would!

9) Are you going to sport your LGMH or June logo? If so, should we stop and say hello? Absol-posi-tootly!

10) What things should we remember to do for while we are away? (Ex: have cats fed, stop mail, stop newspaper?) Pay your water bill :rolleyes1 .....:lmao:
