The all New *OFFICIAL JUNE* 2011 thread! Some like it hot!

Had a dream right before waking that I woke up at Disney with NOTHING. Just a cheap pair of flip flops (was already complaining that I'd have blisters), no hair ties or brush, no summer clothes, none of the tshirts we made especially for Disney, no money! Was glad to wake up from that nightmare!

Right now I'm having the good Disney dreams. A week or two before we go I'll start in with the bad ones. Mine is usually that I don't get to get off of ME and I have to go back to the airport to go home. In my dream I keep telling everyone that I haven't seen the Castle so I know I can't leave yet.

My DS woke up this morning and I asked him what he wanted for breakfast like I do every morning. He said he wanted a Mickey head rice krispie treat on a stick. I think he has too much Disney on the brain. :goodvibes

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

We also started a reward system with the kids a while back where they earn "Disney Cash" to spend on our trip. We always turn them into Disney gift cards for that amount earned before we leave. However, my DD said this morning when I put her on the potty (she's potty training), "Yay! I went potty! I get Disney Cash" (said in a very sing-songy voice). What is our family coming too :rotfl: that she now thinks she also gets Disney Cash for going potty? That wasn't part of the deal. :lmao:

Your little ones are adorable! And you are training them just right :rotfl2:

Love every minute of it while you can. I wish I hadn't waited so long to take my DS-his first trip was when he was 6. If I had only known how much we all were going to love it I would have started much earlier. My "little boy" is now 16 and 6'1 *sigh* I'm glad that he still loves going with us though :goodvibes

Well I'm starting to pack and make a list of what items I need. I wanted to check with you guys, I was thinking of packing a can of bug spray, do you think I need it? I know it gets buggy here in the evenings but not sure of WDW. :hippie: Anyone?

Also wondering are you guys packing a light jacket or jeans or anything in the off chance of a cool night. I'm assuming it's gonna be hot and humid around the clock and wasn't gonna pack anything for cooler weather. :beach:

WOW! That is a nightmare! So glad they don't last. :rotfl:

:rotfl: Mine would have asked for Mickey waffles. They actually still want me to buy one of those waffle irons so they can have those at home. I told them that would take the fun out of making them special when you are at Disney. :goodvibes

When I fly I take a small Apple wireless router with me. TSA thinks it's a battery charger.
802.11n Airport Express

That's cool! Sending DH to check it out as we will have 1 IPad and 2 IPods. ;o)

LOL! Good thing we didn't start that. We JUST was able to get our 3 yr old (will be 4 on the 30th) to go potty on her own...she'd take full advantage if she thought she would get money out of the deal. :rotfl:

I would pack some sort of bug spray. WDW does a good job of spraying, but there are still some pesky mosquitos. If I know I'm going to be anywhere near water, especially in the evening I spray myself down.

As far as a jacket or jeans, I would say you won't need them. I'll be packing capris for nicer dinners, definitely no long pants or long sleeves will be needed. *If there is for some reason a freak snow storm, you can blame me :thumbsup2

We have never packed bug spray. We haven't needed it, unless you count the one night there was a tropical storm moving up the coast and it brought out these very weird swarms of bugs. It made getting off the boat at WL very interesting. Let's just say that everyone ran with their eyes closed and mouths closed as fast as they could to the main lodge. They were awful!

We always pack one light jacket or sweatshirt just in case, but honestly have never used them. We always go in the summer so the coldest nights for us have been in the low 70's.

We also always pack a light jacket with a hood just in case. These come in good for light rain. Sometimes the ponchos just get to hot and sticky. :goodvibes

Ok anjalee6 is it time to start the best packing list questions? I need to do something it's getting harder to wait. 838 hours to go!

when I was younger we never used to bring bugspray. But now, with dd's mosquito allergy I have to carry it every where I go, unless I want her to be swollen beyond recognition!

i'm one of those types that even if there isn't a bug alive in miles, they smell me and come to feast. :lmao: That said, I never brought bug spray to WDW. Now, if I was staying at say, ft. wilderness I would. but that is merely because I automatically associate camping with bugs, not because I encountered any there.

I also do not bother with a light jacket, unless it has been cool here in Wisconsin.

I try to pack light. :confused3

I have never had a problem with bugs while we were there, but if you are like me, I over pack and I bring anything that I think I could use so I would pack it. :rotfl2: With that said, I don't pack jeans. I would pack a light weight jacket though just to be on the safe side. :)

You have recieved enough answers.. But I think Disney kills all bugs within a thousand mile radias never really been bitten by a bug at Disney.
I would take something that you could just pull over at night. I do not ever get cold but my wife is cold blooded and always has a hoody for night ventures!
