Need some advice ya'll! We are trying to do a park a day but I don't think it's going to happen. And we would like to have two days at MK.
Our schedule:MK...HS...waterpark...AK...MK (for our last day).
We don't have room for Epcot! I was thinking of at least squeezing it in for half a day but I really don't want to pay for park hoppers for one day. What should I do?! I don't want to cut out the waterpark day (I think we'll need a break from the parks & later that evening the kids will be going to the Neverland Club) I've seen that the park most people cut out is AK. :confused3

If it were me I'd have to cut one of the MK days and make it an EP day. There's no way I could do a trip without EP.

We'll be there too! Staying offsite at a Windsor Hills house from June 11-20.

ADR's:

OH....Epcot is my favorite and the kids love it. I don't know. It's tough to decide to skip a park. I would say think about the ages of your kids and what they can and can not do and then decide what is best for your family overall.

Friday Night Questions....

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) If you could create a character meal, who would you include? Toy Story meal with Woody, Buzz, Jesse, Hamm, Rex

2) Does your family have any last night or day traditions at WDW? We usually eat a chracter meal the last day, shop, and head on home

3) What is one resort in which you are not interested in staying and why? I don't have any desire to stay at the Value hotels. The only reason being that we always do the DxDP and like having access to TS restaurants

4) If you could give one piece of advice to someone planning Disney trip for the first time, what would it be? Make sure that you do not overplan. Keep things realistic and don't expect to do everything. Aim for a few major attractions that each person wants to do and then consider anything else that you fit in during the day a bonus. :thumbsup2

5) What are three things that you consider "must haves" one you are packing for June WDW trip? We have to bring sunscreen (obviously but I am so fair, I would burn to death :rotfl:. We always bring comfortable park shoes and then make sure they are shoes that can dry easily (especially for rides where you might get wet and for rain storms. We make sure we always bring our sunglasses. One year I forgot them, and I was so miserable.

6) Do you buy photopass? We have and we haven't. This year, I am not sure. Sometimes I feel like we don't stop for enough pictures to get our money worth.

7) How you done any tours and if so, which was the best? We have not done any yet, but I really want to do the Behind the Seeds tour in the Land this year. (Any thoughts are welcome too)

8) Have you ever visited a first aid station while at WDW? Yes, a few more times than we would like and for legitimate things. My mom went last year for having chest pains and we ended up being escorted from Epcot to the hospital. She ended up being ok, but stayed at the hospital for 4 days.

When I was younger, I was at River Country when I slid down one of the slides and completely scraped all the skin off the inside of my arm from my arm hitting the slide. I have a nice scar to show for it.

Unfortunately, I think there is one more major one that I am forgetting.

9) What is the longest you will wait in line for an attraction? No more than 40-45 minutes. 45 minutes to me is pushing it.

10) Have you ever been selected from the audience to be part of a show, parade, etc.?

NO, not me personally, but I enjoyed watching my husband be part of the Back stage studio tour and get TONS of water dumped on him. It was really fun to watch for our kids. They loved seeing daddy as part of the show and my daughter was selected to be Boo last year in the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor show. It was really cute!

1) If you could create a character meal, who would you include? I think there should be a character meal geared towards boys, since there's so many princess themed ones for girls. So, for the boys, the characters could be Captain Jack Sparrow, Peter Pan, Captain Hook, etc..

2) Does your family have any last night or day traditions at WDW? We always spend the last day shopping around at Downtown Disney and buying lots of souvenirs.

3) What is one resort in which you are not interested in staying and why?
There's not really one in particular I can think of that I wouldn't want to stay at that I haven't stayed at before. But, I guess I wouldn't really want to stay again at Coronado Springs. It was too far to walk to the room for me.

4) If you could give one piece of advice to someone planning Disney trip for the first time, what would it be?
Use fastpasses and use them a lot.

5) What are three things that you consider "must haves" one you are packing for June WDW trip?
Sunscreen, sunglasses, tennis shoes.

6) Do you buy photopass? Nope, never used it.

7) How you done any tours and if so, which was the best? I haven't ever done a tour, but I would really like to do Keys to the Kingdom one day. :)

8) Have you ever visited a first aid station while at WDW? Thankfully, no.

9) What is the longest you will wait in line for an attraction?About 40 minutes is the longest I can stand to wait.

10) Have you ever been selected from the audience to be part of a show, parade, etc.? When I was a kid, at some show in Tomorrowland, I got to "roar like Simba" into the microphone. It was pretty funny. :simba:

1) If you could create a character meal, who would you include? I"d do a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse meal and include Pete and Claribel.

2) Does your family have any last night or day traditions at WDW? we usually try to go to MK one last time but nothing set in stone as of yet. WE do like to do Tusker House before park opening every trip.

3) What is one resort in which you are not interested in staying and why? Any of the All Stars. They just don't appeal to me at all.

4) If you could give one piece of advice to someone planning Disney trip for the first time, what would it be? Use Fastpass!

5) What are three things that you consider "must haves" one you are packing for June WDW trip? sunscreen, thermos cups to keep drinks cool all day, sunglasses, and ponchos

6) Do you buy photopass? We have once and I think we might this time too. It's our first and probably only trip with DH's parents

7) How you done any tours and if so, which was the best? I did Behind the Seeds. It was really fun. I would love to do Keys to the Kingdom sometime soon.

8) Have you ever visited a first aid station while at WDW? no

9) What is the longest you will wait in line for an attraction? for a ride 20 minutes for a show or parade up to an hour, for the Star Wars parade 90 minutes.

10) Have you ever been selected from the audience to be part of a show, parade, etc.?
When I was a kid I was selected to do something with Figment in the old play area after the ride.

/
1) If you could create a character meal, who would you include? Eeyore, Jack Sparrow, and the Mad Hatter

2) Does your family have any last night or day traditions at WDW? Not really, since the times of our departures have varied so much

3) What is one resort in which you are not interested in staying at and why? All Star Sports- Larger than life sports equipment is not my cup of tea.

4) If you could give one piece of advice to someone planning Disney trip for the first time, what would it be? Don't try to do everything in your first trip, it will make your vacation stressful and not fun

5) What are three things that you consider "must haves" one you are packing for June WDW trip? Ponchos, sunglasses, and fan

6) Do you buy photopass? No, but we are considering it this year

7) How you done any tours and if so, which was the best? We've only done the Backstage Safari, which they've now cancelled, but it was really neat, and people spent more time watching you wave than the baby elephant across the stream

8) Have you ever visited a first aid station while at WDW? Haven't needed to

9) What is the longest you will wait in line for an attraction? 70 minutes? We've waited that for Soarin' and Test Track was a close second

10) Have you ever been selected from the audience to be part of a show, parade, etc.? DD has, our first day of our second trip, Happy pulled her into the parade

1) If you could create a character meal, who would you include? Star Wars dinner show or Jack Sparrow pirates show!

2) Does your family have any last night or day traditions at WDW? Not really but this is only our 2nd time going. I'd like to tho! I know last year we had to run around buying up all of the snacks we had left on our DDP (cuz I'm a cheap skate). The drive home was very sweet :) Mmmmm caramel apples here I come!

3) What is one resort in which you are not interested in staying at and why? I want to try them alllllllll!

4) If you could give one piece of advice to someone planning Disney trip for the first time, what would it be? Plan ONE meal per day, let the rest just happen.

5) What are three things that you consider "must haves" one you are packing for June WDW trip? A neatly folded trash bag to dump everyone's backpacks in when it starts to rain, Matching Tshirts for one day, and a first aid/surprise cold/tummy ache/allergy attack/vitamin kit.

6) Do you buy photopass? Yep! I have a new fancy schmancy camera but the photopass pics ROCK! (Get yours now for $50 cheaper online!)

7) How you done any tours and if so, which was the best? Not yet but aren't they expensive?

8) Have you ever visited a first aid station while at WDW? Not yet.

9) What is the longest you will wait in line for an attraction? An hour and we'd have fun doing it!

10) Have you ever been selected from the audience to be part of a show, parade, etc.? My DD did :) Best - day - EVER. Grand Marshall for the parade in MK. (I ran to buy a photopass while she went off with the other family we were with so I missed out being ON the carriage) AND in the same trip, hubs got picked during the Monsters Inc. show :)

................oh and um..... I changed one of my ADRs :rolleyes1

6/6 Les Chefs de France 4:50p so we can see Remy!!!

OOH! And Crystal Palace is a PM. I keep checking back to see if I can get an earlier one so ya know.

You are FANTABULOUS for doing this anjalee!!!!!!!

1) If you could create a character meal, who would you include? Toy Story Characters, or maybe Peter Pan & pirates? I have two boys and the current choices don't appeal to them at all.

2) Does your family have any last night or day traditions at WDW? Usually we sleep in and make a trip to Downtown Disney before heading to the airport.

3) What is one resort in which you are not interested in staying and why? Cornado Springs - I grew up in New Mexico and have spent lots of time in Arizona and nothing about the art or architecture of those regions interest me. I also have no interest in All Star Sports - it just doesn't seem Disney-ish

4) If you could give one piece of advice to someone planning Disney trip for the first time, what would it be? Do your homework! Have a basic idea of what things you want to see so you don't waste time standing around looking at maps

5) What are three things that you consider "must haves" one you are packing for June WDW trip? ponchos, sunscreen, hand sanitizer

6) Do you buy photopass? Nope

7) How you done any tours and if so, which was the best? We loved the Keys to the Kingdom tour. I'd really like to do Backstage Magic, but its pretty pricey

8) Have you ever visited a first aid station while at WDW? Thankfully no (where's some wood for me to knock?!)

9) What is the longest you will wait in line for an attraction? 30 minutes if we have the boys with us, a little longer with just adults

10) Have you ever been selected from the audience to be part of a show, parade, etc.? I had to dance with some African dancers in AK once. But my husband gets picked for something or a few things every trip. He's done World Showcase Players about 5 times, done several AK shows, and was in the hot seat at Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Something about him just screams PICK ME!

Need some advice ya'll! We are trying to do a park a day but I don't think it's going to happen. And we would like to have two days at MK.
Our schedule:MK...HS...waterpark...AK...MK (for our last day).

I don't want to cut out the waterpark day (I think we'll need a break from the parks & later that evening the kids will be going to the Neverland Club) I've seen that the park most people cut out is AK. :confused3

Depending on how later in the evening the kids will be going to neverland club, i'd add epcot after the waterpark. I really doubt you will spend ALL DAY at the waterpark. :confused3 maybe a few hours max. This would be a good time to add a half day of a park. Personally I don't even have AK planned for me and my DD. She loves animals, but looking at what activities offered there... nothing I couldn't do locally, such as at the zoo or a park, we even have a small theme park nearby. so AK isn't worth our time. :confused3 But everyone is different, and others would be tossing things at me for saying that as AK is their fav. Just think about not what we say, but what you think will work for YOU. :thumbsup2

1) If you could create a character meal, who would you include? Jessica Rabbit & Roger Rabbit

2) Does your family have any last night or day traditions at WDW? My DH always tries to convince me to stay just one more night and go back to work a day late… It never works.

3) What is one resort in which you are not interested in staying and why? All Star Sports I have no interest in because we are not sports people…. But it is kinda crazy because I love the Pop and we would love to stay at the Art of Animation

4) If you could give one piece of advice to someone planning Disney trip for the first time, what would it be? Start planning early. Book your reservations for food as soon as you possibly can.

5) What are three things that you consider "must haves" one you are packing for June WDW trip? Camera, bathing suit & lots of shoes

6) Do you buy photopass? YES!!!! This is a must… never go without one. My DH just preordered ours.. These pictures will last forever and I can watch my little one grow up at Disney.

7) How you done any tours and if so, which was the best? No and will have to wait until my 4 year old is a lot older before I will get to… The first one will be “behind the magic”

8) Have you ever visited a first aid station while at WDW? No… but we had the paramedics show up at the Contemporary Resort after my soon to be mother in-law fell in the elevator (a little sore but nothing broken)

9) What is the longest you will wait in line for an attraction? 3 hours my DH wanted to ride Tinkerbell even though my DS (3 years old at the time) told him Tinkerbell was not a ride… He was trying to be funny.. hahahaha:rotfl:

10) Have you ever been selected from the audience to be part of a show, parade, etc.? No But it would be great!!! I would do it in a second.

1) If you could create a character meal, who would you include? Peter Pan, capt. hook, tinkerbell, and maybe jake from the neverland priates... this should appeal to people with all types of kids, from the girls who want to see tinkerbell, to the boys who want to fight capt hook...

2) Does your family have any last night or day traditions at WDW?
No last day/night traditions, but we do go to Kobe's on friday.

3) What is one resort in which you are not interested in staying and why?
I can't think of one offhand. maybe ft. wilderness as I need A/C and I think DD is allergic to something there. (Was pointed out to me that the horses on property have carrot in their feed, DD reacts to carrots.)

4) If you could give one piece of advice to someone planning Disney trip for the first time, what would it be?
Make advance plans for meals, or you may end up eating nothing but 'fast food' the whole time. :thumbsup2

5) What are three things that you consider "must haves" one you are packing for June WDW trip?
Money, clothes, and deodorant! :rotfl:

6) Do you buy photopass?
This year I pre-ordered. never ordered it before, but wanted to.

7) How you done any tours and if so, which was the best?
No, although I can't wait for my DD to be old enough for some of the seas ones.

8) Have you ever visited a first aid station while at WDW?
Nope, although we had EMT's come to us once. Asked for a bandaid. :confused3

9) What is the longest you will wait in line for an attraction?
Depends on the attraction, and how much DD wants to go on it. also on how hot it is.

10) Have you ever been selected from the audience to be part of a show, parade, etc.? pirate: Nope. Last year I met a couple that had been picked to be in the 3pm parade, so happy for them!

Sorry I've not been filling these out, between work and throwing out my back, and reading way too many trip reports... I got behind!

1) If you could create a character meal, who would you include?

Tough to decide between Pirates and Villains. Guess I'll go with Pirates since Villains might be too scary for the little ones. My idea has always been to turn the counter service restaurant across from PoTC into a table service with Captain Jack as host :lovestruc

2) Does your family have any last night or day traditions at WDW?

I have to say good bye to MK and the Castle-I'm a dork :sad2:

3) What is one resort in which you are not interested in staying and why?

The Contemporary. It reminds me of an airport :confused3

4) If you could give one piece of advice to someone planning Disney trip for the first time, what would it be?

Get out of bed early and make rope drop!

5) What are three things that you consider "must haves" one you are packing for June WDW trip?

ponchos, comfy shoes, plenty of socks

6) Do you buy photopass?

Every year I come close and then back out. DS and DH do not like stopping to have pics taken by the photographers so it would likely not be worth it for me. I did get a new camera as an early Mom's day gift this year though :thumbsup2

7) How you done any tours and if so, which was the best?

Have done Keys to the Kingdom and LOVED it. Getting to do Backstage Safari and Around the World Segway tour on this trip :woohoo:

8) Have you ever visited a first aid station while at WDW?

No, thank goodness no need to.

9) What is the longest you will wait in line for an attraction?

30 minutes-FP is your friend.

10) Have you ever been selected from the audience to be part of a show, parade, etc.? pirate:

I was made an official pirate and member of Captain Jack's crew. DS was so embarassed. It was me and lots of little kids, but I was thrilled :rotfl:

Hope everyone has a great weekend :goodvibes

1) If you could create a character meal, who would you include?
All of the ladies... Minnie, Daisy, Princesses... and of course the main boys... Mickey, Pluto, Goofy, Donald... But I love them all!!

No traditions... but I just love being there and I hate the last day because I do not want to leave :wizard:

3) What is one resort in which you are not interested in staying and why?
Any off property...only because I love the feeling of staying at WDW.

4) If you could give one piece of advice to someone planning Disney trip for the first time, what would it be?
Just know that you will not be able to see it all in one trip. Enjoy and breathe it all in!!!

No, but I really hope that it happens on our Honeymoon!!

1) If you could create a character meal, who would you include? Tiana, Mulan, Pocahontas, Jasmin and wall-e and my cousin just said she would inculde absolutely every charactor ever and it would be lunch. that would be a REALLY long lunch
