:eek:Well it's been a crazy weather day here. Got to work just before 7am and just about every 30 minutes or so the radio was blaring an emergency weather alert...tornado warnings or watches all morning long, then severe thunderstorms and flooding warnings. Thankfully so far haven't heard of any actual tornadoes touching down or any damage...but the weather is still pretty unstable!

Anyone I saw the post about photos and wanted to answer but it's a tough one. I have many favorite photos.

Here are a few of them:

A small strip of my fireworks photos from 2007:

Where was your favorite photo taken? Since I can't even decide on my favorite photo, I'm not sure. Most of my favorites are at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT.

What kind of camera equipment do you own and take with you to the world.
I have a Canon SD750 Elph that goes everywhere with me...and it great for on-the-ride shots. I also have a Canon SX130 which is somewhat new to me...I had the Canon SX110 and upgraded by selling my old one on eBay and buying a used one. Most of the functionality is the same with some extra features on it I'm still learning. I also have a Canon S200 (I think) Video Camera...records on SD card and that will be that camera's first trip to Disney as our old Video Camera died on us this time last year, right AFTER my brother's wedding!

Are you a casual photographer or a semi-pro? Casual but I take a LOT of photos if you couldn't tell already. I must have hundreds from every trip with several different cameras. It's definitely a hobby that I love to do.

Do you have any links you would like to share of some of your best works or special memories? Ooops...think I already put them all here. I have several albums online but not sure anyone is up for browsing hundreds of photos from each of our past trips!

Any photography help or hints you would like to share with Team June? Hmmmm....don't know of any other than, especially for some of those harsh summer light/shadow photos, don't be afraid to force your flash to stay ON so you don't get shadow faces when kids aren't facing the light. I also LOVE having the multi-shot feature on my cameras so if you have it, don't be afraid to figure out how to use it for action shots! I love to experiment with manual settings on my cameras for later evening shots as they tend to come out better than the automatic ones. I absolutely LOVE the Canon line of cameras though...don't think I could use anything else!

I can honestly say that I am going to be using my Lines App more then Ride Max. I have worked with it all day and I can just feel that my crew will bulk at being that structured.

We used lines in Dec and love it!!

I'm with you that. To me, having too much structure is no fun and you lose out on those magical moments. Like when we rode the Magic Carpets of Alladin right as Wishes started. We got to see the fireworks as we flew in the carpets. That kind of thing isn't in anyone's touring plan.

I downloaded the Undercover Tourist free App and we love to just glance at it every now and then to see what wait times are on rides at various parks. I'm really curious to find out just how accurate it is, since it seems to depend on user input and how often are people updating it? :confused3

So here are the magnets I've created so far to use on our door:

I also have a question for my fellow June DISsers...when should I expect the second part of my Mickey Mail? Or is there a second part? I've already received my ME stuff...but no luggage tags (the 'fancy' ones). I thought I'd been reading that they send "Mickey Mail" in 2 parts now, but maybe I'm wrong on this...:confused3

What is Mickey Mail?

I have noticed a lot of people mentioning their FP runners. I know this may sound stupid but I want to make sure that I understand. Does one person rush ahead to a popular attraction to get fast passes for the rest of the family and then meet up with them at another attraction? Is this the norm? I was not planning on us seperating during the trip (or racing thousands of people to fast pass machines ;)),but it sounds like it may be best to do so. If the rest of the family line up for another attraction, is it okay for the FP runner to then join them in that queue?

Some people use the FP runner in this method, particularly families I think (dad takes all the tickets and goes quickly ahead to fight the crowds while Mom pushes stoller/walks with little ones then they meet up) We have used them more along the lines of...there's no point in all of us walking to frontierland, I'll go grab passes while you use take kids to the bathroom/grab a snack

You will get a strong reaction on these boards from the suggestion of 1 person trying to catch up to their family already in line. My advice would be to do the FP running as a more efficient use of time and meet up before getting into a line

I used RideMax for my first family trip 3 years ago and liked playing around with it before the trip. We never actually made our touring plan based entirely on the program but I used some of the strategy when we actually got there. I think touringplans has basically similar info, I don't follow thier plans exactly but I do use the best times sheets as a guide and have had good luck with that. That is how we will plan for this year

Makes sense...I just did not think about fast passes much in this early planning (OMG - what have i got myself into) stage. I think I will be the runner and let DH and kids take in sites and their time.

Thanks - lots to think about!

I'll be there for a solo trip June 18-22nd.

I haven't decided where I'm staying the first 2 nights yet, but I've booked at SSR for the last two.

Sorry to tell you..... buuuut I switched 2 ADRs :lmao:

But I am pretty sure this is my final list!!!

Wednesday June 22nd - Cinderella's Royal Table @ 3:50pm

I know what you mean. First thing this morning, I had to head to school in a Tornado Warning and a big funnel cloud was spotted right near our house. Luckily, it didn't touch down. It was a frightening sight.

Welcome to the board. I have added you to the list on page one. Just let me know when you figure out the other half of your stay. :thumbsup2

Sunday June 26th - The Plaza @ 3:00pm

I think I changed it correctly... I assumed this CRT was taking the place of the other. Was the Plaza taking the place of something or were you just adding it?

I hope you and your family are safe tonight.

Be safe! We had 3 tornados touch down near our town on Easter along with baseball size hail. Crazy weather! Hope you all get some rest tonight and things settle down quickly!

Thank you. 3 Tornados. That is extremely scary. Weird, weird, weather lately.

Updated my ADRs:

6/18 The Garden Grill Restaurant 5:40 PM
6/20 50's Prime Time Cafe 3:40 PM

I've been wanting Garden Grill forever and it just opened up tonight. I'm so happy to finally book it. :goodvibes

Yay! How exciting. Congrats! :goodvibes

:woohoo: :woohoo: Garden grill opened up for me too!

So, we dropped Planet Hollywood and picked up 4:30pm at Garden Grill on 5/31

I had stopped stalking it, and gave up on it, and on a whim checked it (didn't even read that it opened for kat) and I GOT IT! :cloud9:

I am so happy for you. I know that you really wanted to do this. It just shows you that stalking the website pays off. We picked up an extra day and I got Le Cellier and Chef Mickey's for that day. Go figure. I'm not complaining though.

We'll be there too! Staying offsite at a Windsor Hills house from June 11-20.

ADR's:
