Chef Mickey! It's on the monorail!! I can eat and go to any park I want.

Wilderness lodge!! That was our first resort we stayed in for our first ever visit to Mickey's house!

Caribbean beach, they have a really nice themed pool! Pirates aaaargh

ice cream bar! It's yummy and cold not the temp of Florida!

Fly! Hmmmm.. Two hours we are there or Load my kids into a car, drive for 12 hours stopping along the way to eat at mcdonalds, and bathroom breaks.. Listening to the "I'm bored" statement constantly for 11 of the 12 hrs..stopping at a gas station and filling my car with $120 of my Mickey ice cream money! Nope nope nope! Oh did I forget.. How many snot slathered surfaces is my family touching along the way!
Please just fly! It's cheaper, if you count the vacation time from work you spent driving, as part if your vacation $$$$

Mickeys not so scary! We don't really eat that much at Disney.

This weekend a local restaurant is hosting a Pirates weekend based on the new POTC movie. They are having students/members of the fencing club there dressed as pirates to do some swashbuckling. They have a guy who was in the movie-he was one of Blackbeard's crew. But most importantly they have a Captain Jack impersonator who is spot on.

Anyone have plans to see the new Pirates movie? DS and DH want to see it at DTD, I think that's a waste of valuable Disney trip time and we should see it before we go.

Here's a tip that's sort of on the 'Duh' side.

The hours for the parks may have changed since you typed up your schedule.

Be sure to check the Disney site -> Parks -> Calendars -> park hours for the days you are staying and check that against the plan you typed up.
Generally speaking, park hours for some parks have been extended.

Now that we're getting so close, our list of things to do before we leave is getting huge and some of us might miss this.

Yippee!!! We're down to less than 2 weeks to go! When we planned our trip in February we invited a young woman who is a very dear friend - almost like a second daughter - to go with us. We included her in everything - resort package, ADR's, travel plans.

The difficulty is that she works in the television and film industry and her work schedule is erratic. We knew she would come with us if she could but if an opportunity came to work on a film she'd need to take it. She's been working for years at PA jobs trying to get enough hours to get into the DGA.

Anyway - we just got a call today that she is for SURE going to be coming with us! She's been able to work fairly steadily since her regular job shut down for the season so she has enough money saved to live off of for a few months. And no good offers have come her way yet so next Sunday she'll be flying here so we can all drive to WDW on June 2nd!

We're so excited! We love her so much - my youngest DS only recently figured out that her last name wasn't the same as ours! She's always been such a large part of our lives. It just seems right that she'll be able to be with us on our "Once In A Lifetime Family Vacation!"
