Thanks so much for the info. We are travelling with three adults and two kiddies so we would definitely need a daybed.

Are there any pictures of the view from anyones rooms? I would love to see them. The marina view, would that face over to where the Grand boat is and the other boats, near Gasparillas?

I too love Sugar Loaf...we'll be there for the fourth time in 11 days! I usually request Marina side, I've tried both and find the marina side more peaceful, plus with some rooms you can view some of the fireworks.

We're right behind you.....Checking into SugarLoaf in 12 days!!!!:yay:

Any recent reports on the current construction status? TIA:flower3:

I'am thinking about RPC or BWI...

What should i choose? I just cannot decide!!

TIA

I also have stayed at both-- like the previous poster said, RPC hands down! There truly is nothing like it. It is simply magical!

IMO the GF and RPC are truly wonderful. If you're really into Epcot and DHS, though, then the BW location may be a better choice... Alternately, if you love the MK, that's another bonus for the GF.

RPC really is special, though.:)

For those of you who just got back.....
Is KeyLime Creme Brulee still on the menu at Narcoossees?

We are having my birthday dinner there on the 19th. I'm debating whether I should order a custom birthday cake, or not? If KeyLime Creme Brulee is still on the menu, I think we'd rather have that!

TIA:flower3:

Yes it is. DH and our neighbor traveling with us both had it a few weeks ago and loved it! Our whole meal was terrific.

Thank You!
If I may ask - what menu items did you order and which would you recommend?

We eat at Narcoossee's every trip. We have always had good food. The last few visits, we've had even better food and service. (service, up until a couple of years ago, was not consistent for us.)

This trip, two of the adults had the crabcakes to start, and I had some kind of shrimp dish. We all three had the lobster tail, and it was terrific. I've also had the filet, and it's been good. They also serve fish brought in same day, and it's always been good.

Both men had the Key Lime Creme Brulet and loved it. Even the neighbor who couldn't imagine combining those flavors together. I had the Almond-Crusted cheesecake and it was worth every calorie!

Oh that almond crusted cheese cake at Narcooses is incredible!!!:cloud9:

Hey Blue (C)...I Must agree with you that cheesecake is heavenly :cloud9:....I'm planning on having it next month when we're there.....I think I saw a recipe for it...off to look for it :surfweb:.
:eeyore:

Hello All!

Quick question is 1900 park fare popular?! I did my adrs online yesterday and could get everything I wanted (chef mickeys, lcellier) but couldnt get 1900 park fare?! :confused3 is it just the flaws in the online system or is this place very popular? the restaurant is not a must do for us but I figured it would be nice to have a character breakfast at the gf while we are staying there in dec

ahc grand mariner souffle...mmmmm I bet that is amazing!! 6 weeks!!!!:yay: It will be here before you know it...cant wait to hear all about it when you get back!!!:goodvibes

LMO I think that 1900 PF is very popular...for breakfast and dinner...but as far as character breakfasts go this is not a favorite of ours....not sure about the on line booking as I have never tried it...but GF Cafe has much better breakfast offerings if you just want to dine at the GF...

If that is a MK for your family I would highly recommend Crystal Palace for breakfast...good food and character interaction too!

Enjoy your December stay...there is no place prettier at the holidays the the GF!! !:)

Would the christmas decorations still be up by first week of january?

I cancelled my december reservation :( but DH says he might be able to fit in a 5 night trip during first week of January 2010 or mid-february. I would love to do first week of Jan if the holiday spirit is still in the air...

We've been at the GF the past two years after Christmas. They started taking the decorations down earlier this last year. I think the garlands and tree were taken down on January 2nd, but the Gingerbread house was up a day or two longer.

I've had trouble getting an ADR for the dinner at 1900 Park Fair more than once, so I can believe that they are full. By changing the date, we were able to get our ADR there.

Whew! I finally made it through the thread. So much excitement and information!:goodvibes

We have a trip planned to the GF the week after Thanksgiving. I can't wait. This will be our 4th time there during that week. The Christmas decorations are wonderful and I'm looking forward to seeing them. We are booked in SL. We have stayed two times RPC and now this will make 2 times SL. I'm a little sad we won't be RPC. My TA checked a couple of weeks ago and we could have upgraded, but it was quite a bit of money. I was also afraid I'd miss the convenience of SL--the kids like to be close to the pool. When I finally decided to go for it, the room was gone.:sad1:

I've loved reading about everyone's wonderful stays this summer at the GF. It makes me feel like I'm so close to being there. Keep all the info coming!

SWDisney When we were going to the GF a couple of years ago, I tried and tried to get an ADR at 1900 Park Fare for our first night. Nothing. We asked the concierge in the main lobby when we checked in and they were able to get us a seating. It was a great way to start the trip.:thumbsup2
