Hi Everyone!

Okay, please don't kill me. What building would you recommend for Lagoon view? LOL! I think the concierge may be out, I think I would want a better view such as lagoon rather than concierge and it's much cheaper.

I personally love Boca Chica. It's right on the lagoon, so our room seemed to be right on the water. We had beautiful views of the Poly, CR, Islands, and the castle from 2 different rooms there.

Also, I really like its location -- right by the center pool, close to the waterfall pool, and right across from the main building. When not staying CL, that's my request.

I agree, the lagoon views in Boca Chica do seem to be right on the water! The lagoon view in Big Pine Key is very nice as well, there's a pretty view of the Poly, themed pool and wedding chapel.

Hello! I haven't been on the DIS much lately at all, but I'm a GF fan (OK, well just 2 stays, but so lucky to be in RPC and we LOVED it!!!) and wishing we were heading back. Last time we were there was in Nov 2008 for our son's Wish Trip - we extended our trip and planned a few days of Wishes come true ourselves. As always the CMs in RPC made it magical.

That was a long intro. I've noticed that while there are some familiar names on the thread, there are lots of new ones too, and some regulars who are MIA.

I think it is wonderful that there's a group of you getting together at Mizner's to meet, share a laugh, and enjoy the GF.

Figment1990 - I certainly do not think you are crazy for planning down time at the resort, rather than going non-stop at the parks, as that is what we nearly always do after many trips to the World! The GF is a wonderful resort for that, as it has so much to offer and is so beautiful and relaxing.

Same here! We used to go, go, go - but now we will take resort days once or twice per trip It's much more relaxing that way and you don't get home feeling like you need a vacation

We used to book Lagoon View and request Boca Chica - but that was before they made the Theme Park View category. All the "lagoon" views we enjoyed so much would now be considered TPV. We stayed in BPK for the first time last year and had an awesome lagoon view. I think I'd request Big Pine Key. Look at the lagoon views from there:

My daughter did this 5 or 6 years ago and it was SO cute! Her scalp got very brown in the sun while they were in It took less than an hour for the half-head. VERY CUTE! Do it at the beginning of the trip so that she can enjoy them

4 weeks ago today we checked into RPC and it was so beautiful!!!

Today we just booked another 5 nights ther for mid August!!!!

Yippee 17 days And we'll be listening to the orchestra again from the RPC lounge!!!!!

I will be there in 12 days. I've always stayed in the outer buildings or Sugarloaf. This time I'm spending 7 days RPC. How did you find it, staying RPC as opposed to non RPC.

Johnsonet That is a great view from BPK...we have always enjoyed Boca Chica if we are not staying CL but that is another nice view....

We always enjoy spending a good amount of time at the resort when staying at the GF...there are so many nice things to do...afternoon tea...a pool or cabana day...shopping (I like this more than DH!) the GF has so many nice ones...and just enjoying the music and atmosphere in that beautiful lobby!
