Our plane gets in at 11:30am, so I'm assuming when we get to GF, the room probably won't be ready yet. We're planning on having ME take care of our bags, so I assume we'll just check in and head to AK for the afternoon. Will the concierge have our tickets early?

Are you staying club level? If so, let them know your arrival time and they will have everything ready for you when you arrive. If you are not staying club level, go ahead and get checked in at the check-in desk and they will activate your park admission, then call you on your cell when your room is ready.

And don't forget, even if your room is not ready, you can leave any carry-on bags with Bell Services if you won't need to take them to the Park with you.

I have been going through this thread page by page but figure it would be faster to just ask if there is a playground at GF? I haven't seen any in the photos yet.

We're here now at the GF and I thought I'd post a few quick notes to some common questions. The crane is still working on cinderellas castle and probably will be for a few more days. We were in the magic kingdom yesterday and it looked like there were still quite a bit of lights that needed to come down. We arrived Friday and they've been there working since then.
The hot tub at the GF pool is closed and has been since we got here. The area behind the hot tub is surrounded by a wood wall and they've been doing some kind of work in there during the day. There is no ongoing work inside the main building from what I've seen. There have been varying small sections that change day to day where they've been doing minor work inside but nothing big.
The weather has been great and the parks haven't been too crowded.
We leave Friday to go back home and I'll post a full and detailed report with pictures after I settle back in at home.

Minniesota! Those pix are beautiful! The RPC Deluxe is one of the few categories at the GF I haven't seen and was always curious about. Thanks for posting!

I'm getting everything ready for the IPO since my ADR date is in about a month. I want to make sure to email them early.

I have a couple of questions for all of the GF experts:

1. What floors are the deluxe queen rooms located? And what views can I request? Minniesota had a beach/Poly view. Are there others?

2. Any recommendations regarding children's activities?

do the IPO CM's also work the desk? i thought i read that they do not, but i got an email today that marijane was not in the IPO office, but rather, at the concierge desk. i was actually hoping to meet marijane in person to thank her for all her help, but assumed i could not. anyone have any experience with this?

Typically the IPO CMs are in a back office but I did see Marijane at the desk last week. Perhaps someone is on vacation. If you want to meet an IPO CM, just ask one of the concierge CMs and they will go get them.
