In the book it just says that a family has a portrait of her on their wall.

OK I did a google search.
The story takes place on a farm somewhere in England. The story is told by an all-knowing narrator in the third person. The action of this novel starts when the oldest pig on the farm, Old Major, calls all animals to a secret meeting. He tells them about his dream of a revolution against the cruel Mr Jones.
The novel Animal Farm is a satire of the Russian revolution, and therefore full of symbolism. Generally, Orwell associates certain real characters with the characters of the book.
So it is set in England but is a satire of the Russian revolution.
I guess I need to read the book myself now!
hugs!!!! How are you? How is your son? School going well so far?Originally posted by s&k'smom
Good morning. I'm getting over a cold and have started PMS. Thought you would all want to know that this am.
are you going to WDW for the tag meet??????? oh how fun for you!!!!!!Originally posted by s&k'smom
Hey cheering mom, I'm good thanks!
DS has settled very nicely into school. He loves using the computer, he does transition kinda roughly from school to home but then settles. He is pretty excited about our upcoming trip and it does help that his pschiatrist is giving him a "cocktail" for the plane ride.
How are you?
So sorry we won't get to see you at WDW but I'm sure you'll have a wonderful trip. And I don't blame your DS at all for needing a "cocktail" to get him through the plane trip. I'll be flying down on one of Delta's little jets and they always terrify me with the huge dips they tend to makeOriginally posted by s&k'smom
You guys, what I mean by cocktail is a little medicinal rememdy. DS is very afraid of the plane but can't wait to get to Florida. I'm going to miss the tag meet as we are going from 10/30-11/6 at AKL. He has really come along way this year but his anxiety gets in the way.
It would be so cool to run into some diser's while I'm there.
