Is there still free newspaper delivery for the tower rooms?
Yes, they do deliver the paper to your door.
I called the CR to book 2 rooms for the first week in February. I was told that all that was available were club rooms and there was one standard king room with Garden View. I booked the Garden View Room for my sister, niece and nephew and my husband and I booked the club room with a Magic Kingdom view.
We really wanted my sister and kids in the same building as us but since we are paying for their room we couldn't afford club rooms for both of us. Is it possible that they are truly sold out for that time period or do they open up rooms once the new rates come out in August?
That's not a bad idea and don't forget the suite rooms on the 14th floor come with Club Level amenities. You may want to call back and price out a suite in the tower. The first week in February is value season and the price might be comparable to two separate rooms. Just an idea. If you have AAA you might even be able to get a discount.![]()

Also Leafsgirl36, it's very possible a lot of the rooms might have been sold because of convention groups who book way in advance. However since February 2010 is a long time from now if you don't want a suite in the Tower other rooms should become available.
You're welcome.Thanks!!!
My dad just came home with today's mail and we got our regular mailed confirmation for the 4/3 deal from the Walt Disney Travel Company, so it's great that we now have a second confirmation along with the one I printed online and it brings a smile to my face when we get mail from Walt Disney World.
Thank you.I agree...seems so much more official and concreteYou are going to have a great week!
Have fun on your trip! You are being passed the torch to bring more pictures to the threads! Take a bunch and post them!
I'm going to give the overworked and perhaps under-trained CM the benefit of the doubt, he must have meant to say "7 Seas Lagoon." You're correct, you can't have views of both the MK and Bay Lake - unless you book two rooms...First of all, thanks for all of the great and accurate info!
I have stayed at CR one time before and we are booked there for our next visit in less than 3 weeks!
My question/comment is about the views from the tower rooms. I booked a Bay lake standard view, which I am happy about. However, I started thinking that since no one in my family knows the resort we are staying at (it is a surprise) maybe I should see if any MK views are available.
So, I call CRO a couple of nights ago and spoke to a very nice gentleman that told me that yes, there was availability and I could upgrade for X amount of dollars. Okay, I am thinking maybe I should do this.. until he says you really should upgrade because you will be able to have the MK view and a view of Bay lake (huh?).
I said, oh, if I book the MK view, I will also have a view of Bay lake? Yes, mam, you get both.
After this conversation I feel like I know nothing about CR! I looked at the map and I just don't see how you can have both. Help me, what am I missing??
I did not upgrade because I felt like the information was either not accurate, or I would not be getting the view I was asking about.

BTW, we love the BL view because we prefer not having a parking lot below us, and if you ask for an odd-numbered room, your bed won't face BLT.

No problem, and welcome to the DIS and the CR thread! CRO stands for "Central Reservations Office." Whomever you made your reservation through, is who you will contact to have your request placed in your reservation. I believe the CRO originally pertained more specifically to the Walt Disney Travel Company which is the official booking entity for WDW. I think you will see "WDTC" used more now than "CRO," but they are basically interchangeable.Sorry for the newbie question, but who is this 'CRO' that you can call for room requests?
Thanks!
I was also thinking the Cast Member meant to say Seven Seas Lagoon which is included with the Magic Kingdom Views, so I would say that's an honest mistake.I'm going to give the overworked and perhaps under-trained CM the benefit of the doubt, he must have meant to say "7 Seas Lagoon."
I thought CRO was used for room only reservations and the Walt Disney Travel Company was used for the package deals? For example the confirmation for our 4/3 deal for next month that was mailed to us came from the Walt Disney Travel Company, where as our e-mailed room only confirmation for this December says Disney Destinations. No problem, and welcome to the DIS and the CR thread! Thanks for the information and that's exactly what I thought. This is from: http://www.wdisneyw.co.uk/resortfaq.html
"What's the difference between CRO and WDTC?"
CRO is Disney's Central Reservations Office. WDTC is Walt Disney Travel Company. Both are on the same number, and in the same building.
But, you can't choose whether you get a CRO agent or WDTC agent, although many are now cross-trained.
CRO books Florida resident discounts, passholder discounts, AAA room only & room only 1-2 nights.
WDTC books all annual packages, more than 3 night stays, air fare, transfers (Mears, limo, town car), rental cars, travel protection, AAA packages (only AAA travel agents can call and book for their clients), Disney Club discounts (which will no longer be after 2004), add-ons (like beach stays, Richard Petty, Cirque, golf experiences). All direct mail discounts and other general discounts that marketing advertises will be done through WDTC so that the guest can include these components, do one-stop shopping, and have one policy & one place to call to modify, cancel...etc.
