We are staying at BLT during the same dates we originally planned at the CR. Right now we could only get a studio with a Bay Lake view, but are wait listed for a MK View. Either way I'm happy, I'll be at WDW. This was the most economical way for us to enjoy our favorite resort for the next 50 years!

That's a great way to look at things and the Bay Lake View is also very good to have.

We finally got our stay in the Tower this past Christmas, and then for this year, we did the exact same thing you did (only with a one-bdrm). Here's hoping both of our waitlists come through!

There are a couple of items on the allearsnet.com room service menu that definitely lend itself to the old Concourse menu and I was afraid that they had revamped the menu. Thank you Craig for the link to your website. It looks like we will be able to find something on that menu!

I thought the same thing about some of the items (like the onion soup.) Good to know it's still there and we can order it when we stay (for the 1st time) in September.

Even before Craig posted the updated menu from what I remember seeing on the menu while at the Contemporary and comparing it to what was posted on Allearsnet, I think it was obvious what items were taken off the old one.

I just noticed on your site that you wrote a review of The Wave and I thought it would be a great idea to add it onto the 1st page, so I did that and it's right under each of their menus.

Last night I was looking at the 1st page and I realized that I never added the hot hors d'ouvres menu from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM for the Atrium Club and Tower Club. So if anyone has an upcoming reservation on either floor you can know in advance what hot foods they offer each day of the week.

I was looking at a thread about pool hopping and someone posted an official response from Disney that said the Contemporary is now on the list of resorts where DVC members are not allowed to pool hopp. Obviously that does not incldude anyone staying at Bay Lake Tower because those guests will be allowed access to the Contemporary pool if they want to use it, so it would be for DVC members staying at other DVC Resorts. My guess is the Contemporary was added to this list because of Bay Lake Tower incase it ever did get crowded and I can honestly say adding the Contemporary on this list was a great decision. Anyway here is that exact quote for you to all read.

Resort Guests may only use the pool(s) located at the resort in which the Guest is staying. Pool hopping to other resorts is not allowed.

Exceptions:

* Disney Vacation Club Members staying at a DVC Resort at the Walt Disney World Resort and Disney's Vero Beach Resort are permitted to use other Disney Vacation Club and WDW Resort hotel pools (in addition to the pool(s) at the Resort where they are staying) if those pools are not at capacity. If the pool they are visiting reaches capacity, they may be asked to leave in order to accommodate Guests of that Resort hotel. They must present their current "Key to the World" card with the "Disney Vacation Club Member" designation on it to use other Resort hotel pools.
o Pool hopping is NOT available at any time at Stormalong Bay and the leisure pools at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts, and the pools at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and Disney's Contemporary Resort. There are no exceptions to this policy.
o Pool hopping is restricted at all pools during certain periods of high occupancy. Members should contact DVC Member Services if they would like more information.
* Guests staying at Disney's Port Orleans Resort may utilize the pools in both Riverside and French Quarter.
* Guests staying at Disney's All-Star Resorts may utilize the all the pools at Sports, Music, and Movies.

As I said in my previous reply that does not include anyone staying at Bay Lake Tower, so they are the exception to that rule. This rule only applies to DVC members staying at other DVC Resorts.

Hello everyone! We just got back from our vacation! We stayed 3 nights at the Contemporary and 3 nights at the Boardwalk. WE LOVED THE CONTEMPORARY!!!!!!!!!! We stayed in room 4818 CL Atrium. I honestly have nothing bad to say about our stay here! The concierge staff-especially Janet-was great! The mousekeeping was great! Transportation was great! Out of all the resorts I've stayed at, The CR had the fastest transporation to every park.(the Boardwalk was horrible). I was so surprised how much we all loved the Bay Lave view. I thought I might be disappointed with no MK view, but we all loved it. Our room was spotless. It was so nice and roomy. The CR is by far our family's favorite resort(we even had a Boardwalk view, but the kids missed the CR!). I can't wait until my dh and I can go back alone!

My 575 pictures(Disney and our Royal Caribbean cruise-which was awsome, too)are uploading now and I will post some of the resort in a bit!
