The 'Alex WISH Challenge'

Ok...for those of you that started this tuesday morning.... and are still standing :) tomorrow morning will mark 48 hours!!!!
You may find you have just totally lost your appetite... if you have GO with it... eat when you are hungry... don't if your not...
feel the force..........
 
Alex -- it's only the start of day three but I have to tell you that I am feeling better than ever! I hope I don't get kicked out though -- as day one I actually ate a small serving of cooked cauliflower with my ham before I even thought about it (gasp)! But even on Day 2 -- I could not believe my lack of hunger. Day 2 I had "brunch" at 11am - BEEF cheesesteak minus the bun! An ounce or so of cheddar cheese in the afternoon. And a Cheeseburger with mayo and a little onion (Uh oh -- onion IS a veggie:smooth: guess I should have skipped it). I actually had DH grill me two burgers but I wrapped one up because I was FULL! And then I had my SF orange soda with cream in it while watching AI (and thinking of Kelsie:) ).

I'm still in and NO Carbs (yet). Yesterday I had a few slices of cheese for breakfast, some chicken for lunch and a steak with garlic (salt) butter for dinner. I also had a slice of cheese and diet orange soda and cream late last night. I don't feel hungry today but my stomach is growling lol.

I lost 1 pound the first day (couldn't help stepping on the scale) and that kept me going yesterday. Actually went to the store last night and tried on some clothes! THAT will keep me on it today :rolleyes:

I'm at 14 pounds and losing!! :)
 

I started Tues AM....I feel great...I just jumped in I haven't had any carbs since Monday at dinner. I haven't really experieced the Carb withdrawl that everyone seems to be having...I am hoping I don't....

MY favorite part of this is eating Breakfast!!! Cheese omlette with some bacon...it has been years since I ate all of that for breakfast and it was great...not at all hungry until dinner.

I'm still here, Alex. I'm feeling great. Oh <i>sure</i> I've spent yesterday and today crying but that's probably just menopause :rolleyes:

Hey Linda? I don't know that Alex is eating zero carbs. Are you eating zero carbs, Alex?
 
:( OK, I have to be honest...I'm a weak, weak person. I couldn't stand it anymore the cravings from TOM are really bad this time around. I had to eat the asparagus tonight. Leave it to me to cheat with veggies and not chocolate or something. I guess I'm out of the challenge :rolleyes: . But, I'm here cheering you guys on!!!!

I didn't on tuesday, DW and DD came back from California and I already knew we were going out to dinner last night. (see the alex advanced class for reference :)
I am ON as of this morning though!!
Bacon and Cheese omelette for breakfast
A few pieces of ham and cheese in the afternoon.
2 burger patty's for dinner
 
I am still on.
24 ounces of Diet coke with 2 tablespoons of cream
2 mozzerella and cheddar cheese sticks
3 large egg omlet with 2 slices of Mozz. cheese and sausage (4 oz) salt and garlic :)

Lots of water....


Still to nervoius to stand on the scale....anyone stand on it yet?

It really isn't Glo and once you are in the groove? Wait and see...
Ok I will confess something.... I DON'T reccomend this.. it's wrong and shouldn't be part of the plan...
when I am doing this? I get on the scale every day :)

Dizzy....no rule that says you can't try again!!!

i just put all my food through fitday...everything I posted above and got that I ate 8 carbs!!!! Dang it!! I thought I was doing good...gggrrrrrrr :mad:

any suggestions?
 
no...you did fine...
that was my original point!!! we think of eggs and cream as almost 0 carbs so we ignore them...THEN we add on the cream cheese fakey sweet stuff... the bars and the salads and say "well I only had 20 carbs, I'm in.. it's almost impossible to really eat 0.
If you REALLY have to eat 0, you can't lose on less... then you have to go pure meat....
But you had a great day...
 
OK, I feel better...maybe I will step on the scale tomorrow...I am hoping for 10 pounds by May 22...think I can make it?
 
Glo, of all people, you CAN do it!!

Well, we went to the Outback for dinner tonight!! I was not thinking about how I took Alex's Challenge and ordered a Chicken Caesar salad!!!

I guess I blew the Challenge!! I know that what Alex says is so true. At leasst for me. When I go stictly meat and cheese, the weight just melts away!! When I start adding, even though the stick says I am in Ketosis, I stop losing!!

do you still lose while in Ketosis??????? Or can you stop and still be in Ketosis??????????????

OK, Alex!

I thought it was suppose to get easier :( Today was tough! But, I made it.

Breakfast-Cheese slices
Lunch-1/2 steak and cheese
Dinner--Stir fried chicken strips with onion and garlic salt, melted cheese on it and sour cream. (this was good!)

I also had one of the root beer "fakey's" you don't like and cream in my coffee which I never do!
 
Once again rbuzzotta.... nothing says you can't try again!!!

I have no use for keto sticks.... I lost 110 pounds and have NEVER, not once been able to get them to go above "trace"!!!!!
I completely agree with you about adding in the other stuff.. .I just stop losing.. even when under 20 carbs
 
Rosemary, Alex didn't do it on Tuesday. You can continue with the challenge unless you just <b>want</b> to quit ;)
