We have the Savannah view with the animals. I know they come about 15 feet up, but what blocks them from coming closer? I know there not gonna come close and like bite my head off, haha. I just wondering, thanks.

If I remember correctly, I think there is a fence that blocks them in.

There are very subtly and cleverly disguised electric fences keeping the beasties at their distance...they look like brush or branches sticking out of the ground.

I loved the Savannah View, its beautiful. It was very relaxing early in the morning or late at night sitting on the balcony watching the animals. The grounds are set up that you are completely safe but still feel like your a part of of the savannah. Enjoy!

Yep, fencing was not noticable unless you really looked for it.

at the AKL??? I am dying to stay there b/c I heard it was great. Will it break the bank? Is it worth it?

I don't think there are but a few rooms where you can see the fencing between the savanas. My pictures were taken from a room at the extreme end of the Zebra trail. We were one building closer last Oct and could not see this fence. The fencing close to the hotel are pretty hard to spot. I took the above photo of this with a zoom lens. All-in-all, seeing the fence between the savanas wasn't bad. We saw so many animals from here!!!
