I have a Nikon D50 DSLR, but taking it to Disney so often is killing it. My sling camera bag is well-padded, but the rides are just about to take my camera out.
So, I want to get a REALLY GOOD point and shoot that I can take to Disney with me. Something that has a short delay in between shots, not too pricey, works great both indoors and outdoors and somewhat durable.
I was looking at a Canon Powershot or Nikon Coolpix. The rep at Best Buy is pushing me to a Samsung SL605. (maybe they get a spiff for selling them).
A few other things important to me:

A few other things important to me:
- No over-the-counter batteries. I want something with a chargable litihum ion.
- The short delay (as mentioned before) is VERY important
- The ability to turn the flash off
- Abilty to use it on a tri-pod

- although, going by my first post, that is not what I am looking for at all.
The quality is great and it has a lot of features, but it stinks when it comes to zooming. I will give it a few more days and let you know.
