My sister and I signed up at the last minute to participate in the Expedition Everest Challenge (Saturday, Sept. 27). It's going to be a girls-only weekend; we're leaving our children with our husbands. (I 'sorta feel like I'll be cheating on my kids, but I'm happy to spend some quality time bonding with my little sis!)

The past day or so has been great...and very reminiscent of the good old days.....there are actually green lights on! And you can even refresh the page and have a new post to read! Yippee!

Isn't the 27th when madbrad will be there? That weekend also features the last night of Pleasure Island and an event sponsored by WDW Celebrations, a super cool group of folks. You're there for a great weekend, and what fun to have a trip with friends!

ONE MONTH AND COUNTING!!!

I am off for my September sojourn at Disney World in a little less than two weeks!!!!
If any of the Skinnies want to visit home, they can drop by Seattle and I'd be happy to bring them along.

I'm so jealous of you guys!! I've still got just under 2 months, and I can't wait!!

Hiya mom.... what's shaking?

Ok.... so update on the breast cancer situation with my mother in-law.... she finished her first round of chemo and had a mastectomy.... the tissue and lymph nodes all came back as being free from cancer, so at the moment it seems she is getting the "all clear" from the doctors. She still has to do a second round of chemo, but fortunately she only has to go once every 3 weeks.

Good to hear your MIL is doing well! Thank you for the update!!

By the way......because of Mr. CMO, Justin, a few of us DisBoarders have joined Facebook.com and it is WONDERFUL! I have found so many old friends from performing days...and high school...and of course my Disney friends.
Anyhoo, I came across this gift you can send to friends on facebook and it says, "Shenanigans!" How funny. I laughed and laughed and laughed! You were on my mind today son, and if you join facebook (it's free) then I'll send you "Shenanigans surprise!"

Mrs. Fleagle and I found each other!!! I know my presence has been rather light over here, but I have been trying to keep up on my FB page. If you guys want to add me, look me up under Carrie Kiger!

So Jay surprised me.... he planned a surprise trip to Disney in between my class schedule for October. He knew I was disappointed that we wouldn't be able to visit in the fall, so he planned a quick weekend get away. Although I'm under strict instruction that I have to bring my books with my and study a little bit while we are away.... lol.

When are you guys going to be there? Our dates might overlap, and maybe we could do a mini-DISmeet!!!

HELLO FRIENDS!!!



So much going on with our little family here .
The circle of life, new jobs, relocations, school, new businesses, surprise Disney trips......

Suz, so very sorry for your loss and then, so hoping this new chapter in your life is just wonderful!

Marshay, CONGRATULATIONS for bringing our newest Disney fan into the world!

Amy, Cat, Tooth, DisG, Haunted, MadB........well, I am bound to miss someone unintentionally, so a very sincere hi to EVERYONE!!!

Haven't completely caught up yet, so a very special thanks to those who have kept the thread going!

I have really missed being here. My new business 'Metabolic Weigh' is taking off, slowly but surely. And, if you are wondering, opening up a weight loss support service and LOVING Chic-fil-a cookies and cream shakes has made for an interesting balance (gotta admit -- this summer though-- the shakes WON -- scale had been going in the WRONG direction -- working on that)!

I am so happy to see all of the countdowns to Disney trips. How fun is that?! It always reminds me of why we showed up here in the first place. Our love of Disney!

Guess what? We (DH, DD and DS and myself) are also going to Disney again - this time during the peakest of peak seasons - over Christmas (26th - 4th).....of course, my husband simply does not understand this obsession I have with going there again since we were just there last December.....HA! But you know what?? YOU GUYS UNDERSTAND!!!

I had made a deal with myself though for this trip. I gave myself a goal of hitting 75 lbs lost by the time we leave the day after Christmas......well.....that goal seemed reasonable since I HAD previously hit 61 lbs lost, so, I thought that was doable.....and then, well, the Chic-fil-a shakes, well, let's just say, I am not quite as close to hitting the 75 lbs lost mark as I was before I found the shakes .

Also, I wish we could go off season like we did last year, but not an option with my son now in 7th grade (my daughter is in 5th - that we could have worked with). He really had a hard time with the make-up work. And his teachers made him do work while THERE! So, although I know it will be crazy there due to the crowds, but some days the parks are open until 4 AM!!! Hopefully, the lines will die down after 1-2 am ???

I have all my ADR and am soooooo excited. Although this trip is DOUBLE in price of what it was last year when we went at the beginning of December....what a difference a couple of weeks means to the price of Pop Century. And now I have to pay for the tips for the Dining Plan too.......WORTH IT!!! CAN'T WAIT!!!

I have been emailing one of the guys who play "Crush" in Finding Nemo the Musical and he is hoping to be able to meet with us after a show! SOOOOOOO love that show!

And this is just for old times sake.....I really did think the next time I went back to Disney World it would be as some function of my CMO responsibilities (Yes, I am still in Disney Denial, I know)

......hey, even "Cut-Out Guy Patrick's" CMO youtube tribute included my CMO entry....but, yet again, guess who was on there more??? Yup, MY HUSBAND! Saying "Take her, please" and "my wife suffers from OCDD - Obsessive Compulsive Disney Disorder." I can't even get air time in a consolation video -- So Justin, are you sure you don't need any help?!

My kids keep asking if we are going to see any of my Disney Board friends! Hope so!!! You are all welcome here - and Aunt Cathy - you have missed several Sunday dinners!

Well, crap! I'll miss you by 1 day!!! We're there 10/29-11/04, but driving down from Atlanta on 10/28 and staying with my parents for one night in Ocala. I guess I'll wave on the highway!!
