Wow, your kitchen is beautiful! I'm jealous! Did you purposefully match the cat? ;)

Ever since we got him, we do tend to buy spotted things to match him! :rotfl:One of the traits of bengal cats is the "glitter" in their coat (strands of clear fur that look like glitter in the light), and our counter now has "glitter" in it.

Hey Cherbear - how did your gallbladder thing turn out? Were you ever able to get a definite diagnosis on what was going on?

cool!

It turned out it wasn't my gallbladder. I have delayed gastric emptying. My stomach empties at a much slower rate than it should. Now I take medicine for it. :)

*sidenote....Actually, I think I did have something related to my gallbladder, but the test must have cured me :rotfl: Okay, that sounds absolutely insane but most of my symptoms went away after the radioactive test I had. All the pain in that upper right quadrant, GONE. Someone else on my gallbladder thread had reported being "cured" by that test and I honestly think the same thing happened to me, as crazy as it sounds :confused3

That was me!! I had the same symptoms you had, and they all magically disappeared the day after I had that weird test you had. How funny is that!! I've been fine ever since, and I'm happy to hear that you're doing much better!!

ya know what...just after I posted that I was thinking to myself "ya know, I think that was HER" and I was about to go back to the old thread to see! :rotfl:

I actually passed the test. (and I think you said you hadn't, right?) But it hurt. It started off real slow during the radioactive part then it started emptying halfway through, and that part is what hurt.
It was very strange.

I actually think I've been less dependent on this stomach medicine as time has gone on...so we'll see after a while if I *really* do need it. I don't know if just me being so sick caused my stomach to get really slow for a while, or if it was blocked for some reason. But the main thing is that I'm feeling a lot better.

And I tried lettuce again last week for the first time since that fiasco. I had been SO SCARED to eat it! It went just fine. So I honestly think I had a gallbladder issue and was cured just like you! We are miracles of God! :goodvibes

Hi everyone - We surely appreciate your thoughts and prayers! Elizabeth just got home yesterday from her July 31 surgery. She's looking and feeling good, but has lots of gas and tummy problems from the pain pills. Step two in her treatment begins in about a week. Turns out the tumor could not be removed as planned, has to be shrunk first, then the surgery repeated. She was VERY disappointed!! The looked, met with us, and sewes back up.

Liver cancer is a strange disease because parts of the liver can be removed and it regrows. Unfortunately the cancer had spread to the "good" part of her liver, so too much weakness to remove the five pound tumor on the 31st,

We are not pessimistic, just tired. If interested, the best site is aboutlivertumors.com/TreatmentOptions.aspx

She will probably have embolization and chemoembolization.

Congrats Marshay!

Hi KigerKat, glad you got a new Rogu. How fast will it go without the "e"? Glad you got a new job - good on you!

Justin M - thanks for your updates and kind thoughts for me and Elizabeth!

cherbear - I have long believed that many snafus in the human body can be made to go away by "just" looking. Weird, but hey!!

Love, David

David - thinking about you and your family. My prayers are with you all. This is a very difficult time. You seem very positive. Hang in there and keep us posted.

Thank you so much for updating us....you've been in our thoughts a lot lately! We'll continue those positive thoughts and prayers for you and your Elizabeth!

Just last night I received a phone call from a very close friend who has two tumors on her liver.....only 37 years old.....and she's already had a complete hysterectomy as a result of other "problems" that the doctors were not able to diagnose. She goes in for her biopsy this coming Tuesday. I am anxious to go to the website you posted and see what information it can offer.

You situation is close to my heart and just wanted to let you know I'm still thinking of you!

Amy

Hi all!!!! Another world heard from!!!! Sorry I've been MIA for the last two months, I started my summer classes, work, and just the general summer in general..... I missed you all so much! I wanted to pop in and let you know that I'm alive. Thankfully classes are winding down, until September anyway. I managed to work out something so I could end up taking some second semester summer classes..... have I missed anything exciting?

HAVE YOU MISSED ANYTHING EXCITING? EXCITING? ARE YOU SERIOUS? YOU COME BACK AFTER TWO MONTHS, WITH NARY A "HELLO MOM"......"HOW ARE YOU?"......"SORRY I DIDN'T EVEN COME HOME AND SAY A WORD TO YOU"....BUT YOU'RE WORRIED ABOUT WHAT EXCITING THING YOU MAY HAVE MISSED!?

I'VE BEEN TURNING DOWN YOUR BED, NIGHT AFTER NIGHT, NOT KNOWING WHEN OR IF YOU'D BE HOME...AND THEN DAY AFTER DAY MAKING IT AGAIN. I'VE BEEN WORRIED SICK YOU WERE HURT, OR SICK, OR KIDNAPPED OR SOMETHING! I JUST IMAGINED YOU CALLING OUT FOR ME AND I WASN'T ABLE TO GET TO YOU. DO YOU KNOW HOW THAT RIPS AT A MOTHER'S INSIDES? I'VE HAD TO GO ON MEDICATION BECAUSE OF THIS. AND HERE YOU ARE OFF....JUST....JUST....(sniffle) GOING TO SCHOOL AND WORK AND JUST "BETTERING" YOURSELF! :snooty:

I'VE LEFT DOZENS OF BAGGED LUNCHES READY FOR YOU, (TURKEY W/ SWISS ON HONEY WHEAT, LIGHT ON THE MAYO, SWIPE OF MUSTARD, AND ONE LEAF OF LETTUCE LIKE YOU LIKE.....WITH A SIDE OF CHEETOS AND A SMORES PUDDING SNACK).....BUT YOU NEVER CAME HOME TO GET IT. THANKFULLY I DONATED THEM TO THE ORPHANAGE DOWN THE STREET SO THEY DIDN'T COMPLETELY GO TO WASTE.....:guilty: AT LEAST THEY SAID "THANK YOU!"

WELL, not that I've vented...it's so good to have you home son. I've really missed you. Hope your birthday was a great one.

(you know I was kidding, right?)

Love always,

Your mom

Sure - please use the cat-o-timer any time you want! :thumbsup2

I invented it so anyone in the DIS-nee family could use it as needed!

The only thing is - don't turn it to "Surprise" yet. That's one setting that has NOT been tested! Leave that to me...:rolleyes1

Thanks Kat! I'll be sure to take good care of it and put it to good use! Just make sure the batteries are charged up and ready to go. Sept. 20th will be here before you know it! :cool1::yay:

:wave:HEY EVERYONE!!!

I'm sooooo sorry for abandoning everyone for so long!! DH and I have had a lot on our plate lately, and I haven't had much time for DIS-ing.

:wave2: Hey KigerKat! It's good to have old friends drop by and fill us in on the latest happenings. We've all been busy enjoying summer and busy doing summer things.

Sorry to hear the bad news about the old job. I'm glad you were able to get out of that bad situation and find a much better place to work.

The kitchens looks FANTABULOUS!!! DW and I would love to remodel our kitchen. It's kind of hard to do that when we save all of our money for our yearly treck to WDW!

I hope you are enjoying the new "Rogu." I've been trying to talk DW into getting a smaller ride for a while now. Belive it or not, a Hummer H3 doesn't get great gas mileage at all! :headache:

It is wonderful to come on here and read of how supportive and friendly everyone here still is. What an amazing group of people you are! Thanks for being you and for all the support you've shown me and each other.

I finally finished updating the "Chat with the Chief Magic Official" thread with the details from the Disneyland trip in June. For some reason I still can't figure out how to link to it here, but I'd love it if you all could check it out sometime!

Take care! Hopefully I'll be back soon!

It sure seems you are really enjoying the opportunity of a lifetime! Keep up the good work and please continue to drop by and to continue being a "possivisionouragist!"

My family and I will be at WDW Sept 20 - 27. Be sure to let the members of the Dream Squad know I'll be in their neck of the woods. It would be great to receive a dream or two, maybe even a night in the castle! ;)

 Well, hello stranger!!

In anticipation of our upcoming trip to WDW, I've decided to share another one of the ride videos from our 2007 WDW trip. It's from The Barnstormer at Goofy's Wiseacre Farm. I know it's not as exciting as Expedition Everest, but my kids loved it. They are still kids after all. If you watch the whole video, you can tell how amazed I was with this ride at the end. :rotfl2:
