The Adventurosity Club

Now, here's the part where I'm going to start leaning on some of YOU for help and advice. I am going to start some new CMO threads - specific to each activity or trip so that folks who don't already know about our little club can find me and ask questions. As you've learned, my techno-knowledge is pretty slim. Once I get a new thread going, I might need help linking to it from here (and from the "We be Trippin'" thread).

I'm also hoping that this can remain the wacky social hang out it is while we explore more detailed questions about the trips, responsibilities, attractions, Cast Members, etc, on the other threads. However, I'll get pretty lonely there if you don't stop by and post some questions!

I will be submitting some posts for the www.dreamcmo.com site. I don't know how quickly I'll get something to them or what the turn around time will be to get it posted, but please bookmark that page. Over the next year there will be updates periodically that I'm sure you'll want to read!

SO - - - here's the first important question for you . . . are you willing / able / interested in helping me spread the magic and get the word out about us on the rest of the DisBoards? If so, please send me your thoughts, questions, and ideas, and I'll start moving forward with things!

More magic? :wizard: Ok!!!
I'm all for it and would love to help. More soon!

And as for Forrest: Way to go! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Three woofs for Petite Pluto! Thanks, DISgeeks!

Yeah -- Justin!! Thanks for the update and no need to say you're sorry -- we are all busy and it's been a bit quiet around here.

I agree it will be nice if we can keep our family thread going so we are free to talk about any topic, but also think we need to instill some new life in our Disney Dreams.

I will be thinking about spreading the magic and sending ideas to you. As for thread on the DIS, basically, you just need to go to each section of the DIS and think of topic-related posts to add like for the Family section (How do you continue the Disney dream when you are home? What do you do as a family in the park to help make your Disney dream?) or for the Budget (Low-cost Disney dreams) or for the Trip Report section (my year as a Disney CMO), etc.

Just cut and paste the web address back to this thread and we'll come on over and chat there on the specific topic, too!

Thanks Marshay! My first step will probably be to start a trip report section - a place where I can post about my experiences and then see what interesting conversations spring up from there. I love your ideas of popping in to spread magic on the other threads - I just need the time to pull it all together! :)

Hi there Justin.

Glad you're back and can't wait to hear how your first CMO assignment worked out. :thumbsup2

Sorry I haven't been posting guys......everyone is sick, amidst guitar recitals, art shows, studio picture day, soccer games, and my dance recital coming up. Forrest was just accepted in the National Junior Honor Society....so we have a ceremony next week and another awards ceremony tomorrow night. I just really don't know how to fit it all in. Even my Vanilla Caramel coffee isn't doing the trick. :sad2:

Can't wait to hear from you Justin... it will give me something to look forward to!

Congrats to Forrest! Hang in there, Amy. It might not all seem possible right now, but before you know it, it will be June and you'll look back at these couple of weeks and realize that everything that needed to happen, fit in the schedule somehow (and, whatever got left out - whether intentionally or by accident!) just wasn't essential. I know you guys will make it work and that your kids will always know they are loved - and that's what's really important!

I'll start trying to come up with some ideas, but meanwhile just let me know what I can do to help! :thumbsup2

Thanks Cat! I'll keep you posted. I'm still figuring out what all is possible, but you know I'll call on you when the time comes!! :)

Ditto! (I'll start by posting links to your new threads -- once they're ready -- on the "We Be Trippin'" thread. 'Just say the word...)

And, Cat, I just love the spinning barrel in your siggy! (I do believe I'm feeling a bit dizzy... :upsidedow )

Thanks! Once I have a block of time to sit down and start the new thread(s) and type some things up I'll be sure to let you know!

That's a fine question, Marshay! :confused3

While I can't speak for Skinny Minnie or Dinky Donald, I heard a "vicious rumor" ;) that Miniature Mickey should be making his next appearance sometime soon!

Meanwhile...

Ha! I love the pictures of 'petite pluto'! However, I have to admit that your comments on the lovely weather in Pennsyvania are just another reminder of why I did NOT want to come back from my trip!

Well, this reminds of OLD times on the previous threads! I wake up, post rapidly for a few minutes and have a lovely conversation with myself before logging off and attempting to go to work . . . :)

Have a great day everyone! Talk to you later!

Thanks for the support...and your optimism. :hippie:

Hope you are having a great day at work..... talk to you soon!
And tell Darrah that I'm thinking of her come recital time. We dance teachers need to stick together! So a big hug is coming her way....

:goodvibes Amy

I love this thread! all the pictures are adorable and everyone sounds so nice! (im new to this site as you can tell)

Well hello! Things just got a bit slow here lately as a few of us are away on business trips, family trips or WDW!!

If you want, tell us about yourself.

On another note, I'm going home to PA for an unexpected family trip. I was supposed to go home in June but now that we are scheduling some IVF appointments in June, I can't go then.

So my DD and I will go home to PA (Reading area) for the long weekend and we'll go to Hershey Park, hopefully on Monday! I'll take pics to post on our We Be Trippin' Thread since it seems the bus got delayed going to Texas...maybe a quick trip up to Hershey, PA will move things along! Or if that doesn't work out then I'll just post here.

Hey guys!! What a weekend!! I went to a Braves game with a group of people from work Friday. Then we went to the Aquarium on Saturday. After that, DH and I went to Home Depot and got some flowers to plant outside for our open house yesterday. And then DH gets it in his mind that he wants to do some big overhaul of one side of our bushes...About 3 hours of digging up and planting stuff... Then we got up yesterday to begin the immaculate cleaning of the house...I'm really beat! The backs of my legs are killing me! I guess that's my body telling me I'm out of shape. Maybe I need to take some dance lessons - Mrs. Fleagle???? Are you still around????

On top of all that, my allergies are killing me. I can't focus on anything today. I just need to go home and soak in a nice hot bath, with my head in a plastic bubble.

I'm not sure how our open house went yesterday, but I'm guess not good or our agents would have told us by now. We're really not that happy with them anymore, and I think we're going to let them go once this contract is up next month.

Glad to see Justin had such a wonderful time on his first CMO assignment! I still need to go back and read the article Cat posted about. Glad to have you back, Justin!!

Alright, I really need to get back to work now...

I meant to respond to this and forgot...I love getting in the garden and planting but of course I hate the digging part since our soil is basically rocks and clay -- great combination!

I hope you find a buyer for your house soon.

When I talked to my real estate agent last, she said that Open Houses really don't do anything like they used to. Everyone has access to your house on the website (pics, descriptions, etc) so they usually just book an appt with their real estate agent to see it, if they like it. Open Houses are now just a chance for your nosy neighbors to see your house! :rotfl: And yes, I am completely guilty of doing this!

We're going on 11 months on the market now...Nothing yet...But at least we don't have to move - we just want to!!

I guess we're just more or less upset about the fact that our agents also have their house on the market as well as one they had listed and ended up buying right down the street from us that would compete with ours. We just don't feel like they are doing everything they can for us, and we see other houses in the neighborhood getting sold. Maybe I'm just bitter about it. They stand to make a killing if our house does sell, because they are repping us on the purchase of our new house at 5% commission there and 6% on our house if there is no buyer agent. You would think after 11 months they might be a little more motivated or maybe offer to buy our house like they did down the street.

But yes, DH and I are guilty of being nosey neighbors at open houses as well!! ;)

I need as much help voting as you can provide please. I have a long way to go and a short time to get there. (This Friday evening)

Pass the links to everyone you know...maybe we can pull together a winning rally.
