OK, OK ... please let me start off by saying "NO FLAMING :furious: PLEASE!!!"

I know this isn't a Disney film, but I thought I would let everyone know that I thought this movie was awesome. I'll personally give it 2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2. I'm not a comic buff and don't put a lot into how the movie might differ from the original comic. I just thought the movie (acting, story, special effects) were A+++. If you like this kind of movie then I would definitely recommend you go and see it. I took DS to see it (DW & DD were out of town on an over night school trip). Even though the movie was close to 2 hrs. long, it was good enough to keep my 5 year old glued to the screen.

I got a new "toy" on Wednesday! Here is a small piece of the puzzle. If you can guess what it is that I got, you'll win a PRIZE!!!!! :yay:

If no one can guess what it is by tonight, I'll post another clue for everyone. :scratchin

I just found something in one of the local papers, The Huntsville Times, that sounded pretty neat. You can go to NASA's website and enter your name to be placed into a database that will be placed on a microchip. That microchip will then be placed on the the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, or LRO, that will be launched into space to orbit the moon. For those of you that have always wanted to go to the moon but never had "the right stuff", now's your chance!

"Want to send your name to the moon? You can on NASA's next lunar probe - in microscopic type.

A microchip with names will be placed on the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, or LRO, spacecraft, scheduled for an October launch. Marshall Space Flight Center oversees the probe.

NASA has established a free "Send Your Name to the Moon" Web site that "enables everyone to participate in the lunar adventure and place their names in orbit around the moon for years to come," according to the space agency."

Is it a motorcycle? Oh, if it is PLEASE be careful!

Thanks again everyone.
Open to any ideas to "tweak" it towards us.
That is, of course, if no one else has any designs they would like to share.

HMF...sounds like a fun surprise!
Good luck on having it work smoothly!

Now........ off topic here...

:offtopic:

Has anyone else seen this???
I thought it was pretty cool.
Its a good thing he was there early, he moves right along.
I notice a few puzzled/shocked looks as he films.
Is there a speed limit in the MK???

http://www.disboards.com/announcement.php?f=161&a=232

There are 3 parts but flows from one to the other after the initial start.

:rotfl: I only watched a bit of it, but I like the look on some of the people's faces...

The logo looks great...the only thing I could give a suggestion on would be a Hidden Mickey in one of the letters. But then again I don't really see a good place for one. :confused3

(:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: )

:rotfl:

that cracked me up, even at 7 am on a Saturday ;)

It's STORMING outside and I couldn't go back to sleep, so I decided to DIS and I didn't think anyone would be here. :lmao: So what are your excuses Kat and Brad? :confused3

I'm back! Oh the phone with Gateway...laptop AC adapter is broken and now my computer is dead!! I have to resort to the old desktop....Grrrrr......

I guess it's going to be a pretty quiet morning here today!

I had planned on catching up on the VRT last night in bed, but then realized I had no battery power left. Now I missed saying "Good-Bye" to Marshay!!

DH and I need to do a good house-cleaning today, since we kind of skipped that last weekend. Our house hasn't shown in a week, so we've gotten a little relaxed in keeping it tidy. Laundry is piling up...now that I'm at the desk I see that it's a mess...There's dishes in the sink... Hey Timothy, can I borrow the Disney Maid today????;)

And now I was just told 3-5 days for a replacement AC adapter...this stinks!

MadBrad - did you get a shiny fast "toy"? It looks like you've teased us with a headlight, but I can't tell what kind of headlight. I bet DH would know! He's pretty good at spotting those kinds of things.

I'll check in later!!!

Good Morning All!

Off to a Mother's Day lunch thing at my grandmother-in-law's assisted living facility. I may be gone for the day. DOn't have too much fun in my absence. :)

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying frantically to catch up on the last thread (I'm on page 448) and also catch up to you on the road trip. We've been packing boxes all week! Jeff leaves on Monday for Florida for 3 days. We've GOT to get this house on the market.

Anyway, I'll reply to posts as I continue to catch up. Just wanted to check in with you all to say I haven't jumped ship yet (although I may need to take an extended break for a few weeks). Crazy as it sounds, I'll hate to take that break for fear I'll miss something really important!

Miss you all!
Suz D

PS. David and anyone else, we land in Seattle on June 18th at 2:30. If it works out perhaps we can get together for a late lunch at Zoopa by Southcenter Mall or at the food court at Crossroads mall. We'lll be on Eastern time, so 2:30 would be 5:30 for us so we'll likely be hungry. Please let me know if that works for anyone else. Circus girl? Anyone else in that area?

Glad you're back with us again.......I've been thinking about you!

The Fleagle road trip just started...and we're eating. So if you're hungry come on over! ;)

I have just recently found out that the man (Bob Varley) that filmed this (Dis Unplugged) has recently passed away and that a memorial service was held today at 3pm.

Memorial video, wait for it to load.

I had just learned of Bob and never had the honour of meeting him.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Okay friends I have a gross story to share with you. I guess I need some sympathy!

Last night while watching the new Disney show on the travel channel, I saw a mouse!! No not skinny minnie, or Mickey unfortunately.

I was calm, just a little unnerved. Well by the fourth time I saw him dart from one piece of furniture to the other, I had just about lost it. I know it's crazy and they're not going to hurt me, but I can't stand the suprise factor of it all!!

Dh was trying to get it for me and it scooted into my scrapbooking room! Well good news, bad news there. Bad news is today is National Scrapbooking day and there is no way under heaven I am going to scrapbook today. :sad1:

Good news is it used to be a porch so it closes with a sliding glass door! We shut him in and I relaxed enough to finish the show.

This morning dh was out there looking around. He saw an afghan on the floor and picked it up. TWO more mice (bigger then the little one from last night! ) scampered out!!

WE HAVE MICE!!! Not a mouse, MICE!!!:scared1:

I am trying to relax today but I am not really succeeding. I'm pretty much afraid to move.

I'm sorry 3guys, we posted at the same time. My post is silly and inconsequential after that.:guilty:

:scared1: hope you catch those and get rid of the mice problem. My cousin has been having them lately (and she doesn't live far from us)
