~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our trip out was basically uneventful in that we didn't get lost driving from CT to LGA Airport. The flight went very well and was on time. We did curbside check-in for our bording passes and luggage. We had all put our MEx tags on already so everything was all set. We were nervous about this since it is a relatively "new" service. Needless to say, there were no problems whatsoever.
The only mention is that you should read your MEx booklet very carefully as the person w/the mickey hands is in the CENTER of the airport!!! We had to refer to our booklet again when we got off our flight in Orlando (MCO). It was a little confusing...but manageable.
We went into the MEx line after the walk down to the departing terminals. The wait was a whole 2 minutes if that. After taking care of that we were ushered into the proper line for POP Century. Again, it was not long and we were loaded onto the bus within minutes of arriving in the line. They did play the movie on the t.v. and it was nice for the kids though a bit difficult to hear over all the excited talking!
Arrival at the hotel went very smoothly and the CM was polite, efficient and VERY sweet! Of the four rooms, two were ready and that was fine as it would give everyone the opportunity to freshen up and prepare to storm the Kingdom!! The only problem is our room(which was one of the ones ready along with 1206) was 1207 and she directed us to building 2!!!!! We figured it out on our own and the room keys worked fine. NOTE: 1206 and 1207 were adjoining rooms with the door between them. The rest of our group had 1208 and 1209...the rooms were not ready, but their keys worked. The building location was GREAT for us!!!!! We were right NEXT TO THE FRONT ENTRANCE OF CLASSIC HALL!!!!!
and the walk was very short to the food court. LOVED IT!!!!!!! Our rooms faced the bowling pin pool...the kids loved that feature. The rooms were clean and well maintained. We received the mickey soaps & shampoos (which I tucked away for my dd4's stocking stuffers). There were hairdryers in the room on the wall next to the sink vanity. There was also an iron and ironing board as well. Everything was more than adequate!!!
We did have to request a refrigerator.
We paced ourselved all week in the parks as we had younger children. I did the stroller rental for the week. That was easy enough. I didn't use all the rentals so I gave the last two coupons to another visitor on our last day.
MNSSHP: Was FANTASTIC!!!! A little difficult to figure out where we were in the dark though. But we managed and our kids had a wonderful time.
They trick-or-treated throughout the lands surrounding Main Street...Adventure Land, Frontier Land, Fantasy Land, Tomorrow Land. We went on a few rides and saw the parade...it was great!!!!
The food was endless and I will post on the Dining Board about the food. A recap: Monday was CRT dinner...YES, she showed up and did photos & autographs! Tuesday was Prime Time Cafe and our waiter was absolutely wonderful!!!!!! The kids are still talking about him and that he threw their straws at them...very funny!!!!!!! Wednesday was Storybook Princess Dinner in Norway...and Thursday was Cinderella's Gala Feast dinner. It was all absolutely WONDERFUL!!!! My dd4 celebrated her birthday on Thursday only and Prince Charming sang Happy Birthday to her...she was sooooooo embarassed
she hid her face the entire time!!!!!
He even bothered to return to tell her that she was a "very pretty princess" and even stole a couple of kisses and signed happy birthday in her autograph book!!!! It was all hilarious and adorable at the same time!!!!! The amount of food was ASTOUNDING!!!! We were not hungry at all and were even pushing ourselves to use the credits.
She did recieve many wishes from the CM's that day and some extra handfulls of candy (
) from all the CM's! One character in the parade that was handing out candy insisted that our dd recieve a piece...to do that, people had to hand it back to her as we were kind of in the 2nd row!!!
Any questions...fire away!!!!!!!!!
