The addiction is real..

If you have Jetblue as one of your airlines you can buy things off amazon through their partner link and get 3 points per dollar spent. Obviously you would need to buy a lot of things off amazon but going through their affiliate link as well as a Jetblue credit card would allow you to pile up points pretty quick. Im sitting at almost 35k(about 3 rounds trips from Oregon) points in less than a year although I buy stuff for my work through it also. You can also do Surveys and such to get points although its much slower. Even if you cant save up enough points you can pay for part of the trip with points.

Just an option for those who weren't aware.

What’s the trick to getting this to work? I’ve placed several Amazon orders through the jetblue link and never been given credit for them. Admittedly, I was on a tablet the first few times and when I called, they told me I had to be on a desktop. But that hasn’t worked for me either :(

You need to make sure you don't add any items prior to going through the Jetblue link. Go through the Jetblue link and then add whatever you want to buy. You cant even transfer stuff from your wish list to your cart. I lost some purchases initially just not knowing. It takes a month or so for you to get the points also.

Thank you! I've had a lot of experience with cash back credit cards, but not travel points. When you got your CP, did you have to use your 110k points to get the CP, or was it just an extra benfit and you still had the points to use? If you still have the points to use then it seems like neither one of you would need to pay for travel for a long time.
You get to keep and use the points for travel! But I have to say that I just met the minimum spend and am waiting for the cycle to close and for it to credit to the account, so there is always that fear that I messed something up :D Oh, here's a caution to be aware of: the annual fee will go on the account immediately BUT IT DOES NOT COUNT toward the CP.

It's pretty amazing to me that SW lets you have a companion pass for someone for EVERY flight, not just one, and the bonus is that the companion still flies free even if you book with points!

I'm going to have to come up with a plan to make this work. Sounds amazing.

so we just got back a few days ago. It is without a doubt the best expirence of my life. I have absolutely fallen in love with Disneyland.

We have a universal Orlando trip (only hubby and I) planned in 2018..

But we are already thinking ahead to another Disneyland trip..

The problem is we live in Iowa. We could go often if it wasn’t for the price of airline tickets or the 2 days of driving it would take. Anyone got tips to find cheap airfare?!?

Definitely credit cards. Target airlines that serve your local airport, wait until they have a good sign up bonus deal. Get the card, meet the requirements (minimum spend) and enjoy.

My family is going to Disneyland for our sixth time next week. Our first hacked stay we used points for Delta from two Amex Cards we got for this purpose and flew round trip for free. Next week, we're using points for two flights, companion fares for two others, and for our room. There are six of us, so flights will be $800 and rooms $150.

Hey! Fellow Iowan here! We also LOVE DLR! Both coasts resorts have lots to love but there is really some5hing special about DL Park. Which part of Iowa do you live? We live on the east side so we are about equal distance to Des Moines, Chicago, and Milwaukee airports. This helps with finding best deals on flights. We have also flown out of Moline and Rockford IL. It is much easier to cheap flights to Orlando rather than SoCal unfortunately. If you are near an airport that flys Alegiant or Frontier, they might be your best bests for lower fares.

Council bluffs so we fly out of Omaha. There are super cheap flights to Orlando!
