The excitement is building!:woohoo:
I love to hear kids getting so excited over Disney!
I'm so glad to hear you can wipe yourself:lmao:

Away we go!!!! YIPPEEEEEEE!

Dude, I feel the hug from there, okay? And I'm not patting my own back, but you look so cute in the tie dye! I can't tell you what a kick I get out of seeing everyone in these creations that I make, it just tickles me to no end to know that I'm making wearable art and spreading the happy!

I was a bit deflated when no one complimented my exquisite feet, but managed to trudge through security just the same.

You're kidding, no one? Not one freakadocious flirt noticed those beauties? How disappointing after the lovely pink manicure. I especially like the toe jewelry - the one one your right foot reminds me a bit of those neck collars that tribal women wear to stretch out their necks and make them ever more long and lovely.:goodvibes

So did I get a REAL Mickey bus? I realized about 5 minutes into the trip that it really didn’t matter. What was going on INSIDE the bus was what really mattered.

Okay, but did you? Get a Mickey bus, I mean. You're right, it doesn't matter. But did you? Did I mention I've just finished a pre-New Years Eve party cocktail?

Off to celebrate and ring in the new year. Happy New Year! I think I already wished you that, but here it is again.

Woohoo!!!!! You are on your way. I am so excited for you!!!

Happy New Year to you and yours

I can feel the excitement and nervousness through your words. I know the exact feeling! :) What beautiful toes! I'd pay to have mine look like that. Really! :) I also love your Mickey tie-dyed shirt!

Happy New Year Liessa

If no one else said anything I LOVED your pink toes !!!!

I love the ride on ME going to POP!!!:banana:

HI Everyone!! Happy almost New Year from the Great Pacific Northwest!!

We have The Princess and the Frog plugged in, have already cracked open our bubbly, have some thick chicken and dumplings almost ready to serve and 3 more movies lined up including Spartacus ready to go! Yeah, we're fuddy duddies, but hey, we're all together- what more could our family ask for this year??

I'll get to replies during Spartacus- but until then...........

Happy New Year, Magdalene!!!! I thought about it earlier that if I were still in Central Asia, I'd have already almost been getting up on the first morning of 2011!! Weird!!

I'll be back later...

Hooray, you are in Florida on your way to Disney.

I LOVE the sassy toes...too cute.

Looking forward to this long awaited adventure.

In the meantime, Happy New Year to you and your family, Liesa.

Can I tell you a sercret? I start out almost every trip feeling that way.
With a few exceptions of course.

Yes, tell me all your secrets... muahahahaha. :surfweb: Bank account passwords are particularly welcome. :lmao:

Now, let's see about those exceptions...

I have a travel toothbrush that is not my regular toothbrush so when I have brush my teeth just one more time at home, I don't forget my toothbrush. :headache::rolleyes1

I do too, except when I lose that too. I know I did for our Kazakhstan move, but sadly this was one of those tragic vacation mishaps.

I have yet to eat quiche before a trip either but a few similarities too.

My thinking was that quiche was a nice one to eat in the airport because it would travel well, and be sort of "luxurious" if I can use an odd adjective for it.

MFPP- usually a result of the coffee or the cranberry juice I consume preflight or in flight... or both. If they are serving a free beverage I am getting one, because if I don't I feel like I am not getting my money's worth.

I'm the same way- I think you know me well enough... free= good; free with choco= better. Payment? MFPP. Or a few extra pounds on the thighs.

The ME bus ride - I try to hold the squeal in but sometimes it gets out.

I know. One accidently squeaked out on Main Street. But that's getting ahead of myself.

I love POP mostly for the music on the bus. I know that sounds odd but I had more fun standing on a crowded bus after evening EMH going back to POP than I had seated going to any other resort. I was playing name that tune the whole time. :rotfl2: sometimes I was singing, and sometimes I was even dancing.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Dancing in Disney- anywhere- is perfectly acceptable. It happened to me at AK with the drummers, with Yeehaw Bob, and a whole bunch of other places. Dancing is on a bus would be dessert!

Yay! On your way to Disney!! :)

Sorry I've been lurking lately, I've had a lot on my plate, but I've been around! Promise!

Happy New Year :)

Hip-hip hooray!! We're on our way!

I believe you; you're welcome to come and go as you need. I'll still be here!

HNY to you too!! :yay:

Another great installment describing the anticipation that was bursting from within you like so many Dunkin' Doughnuts lattes.

There was a whole lot more than anticipation bursting forth from DD lattes.

I read this and thought, "Oh no. The poor guys in line at Security won't stand a chance." Glad to hear it worked out without an incident where you had to beat somebody with your purse ala Ruth Buzzi and Arte Johnson on "Laugh In".

But I would have- after saying "thank you" of course. ;)

I'm interested to hear how this worked out.

Me too, all over again.

I'm not sure this story will have a climax, but it certainly does have rising action!! (See, I learned something from my homeschooling efforts!)

I learned how to do that years ago. I won't tell you how many, though. :lmao:

Away we go!!!! YIPPEEEEEEE!

Glad you could feel that hug from here! I wish I could come up with some crazy good idea that everyone would love to own, too!!

You're kidding, no one? Not one freakadocious flirt noticed those beauties? How disappointing after the lovely pink manicure. Nope, not even one. but then again, they didn't do full body searches in cubicles then either. :lmao: Maybe my feet were the cause of all this uproar.

The ring you're talking about I bought in Thailand years ago. The other one I had made for me by original design in Kazakhstan by a jewelry maker. He named that ring "The Road of Life". See that serpentine design on it? Like life taking a twisty turvy road. By the way, those long necked people are also from Thailand called the Kareni. They live in Northern Thailand, and actually most of the girls are now deciding not to wear them. Once you start, you cannot go back.

Can I tell you a secret? Since I did not get a picture, I can only rely on my vague memories of a Disney Cruise bus. It WAS Disney- definitely NOT Mears, but perhaps not WDW Resort? I really don't know.

We popped open our bubbly, as that's all we have. The rest of the booze is in Salem, as we have already kinda started moving. It's ok, I'm so incredibly tired from traveling, and hosting for over 2 weeks, I'm going to bed early.

Woohoo!!!!! You are on your way. I am so excited for you!!!

Happy New Year to you and yours

I'm excited to finally be sharing this part of my adventure too!! Hope it lives up to all the hype I've given it.

Have a nice holiday tonight and tomorrow! May your 2011 hold lots of good things and promise for you!

I can feel the excitement and nervousness through your words. I know the exact feeling! :) What beautiful toes! I'd pay to have mine look like that. Really! :) I also love your Mickey tie-dyed shirt!

Glad you are enjoying the story!! It's great to re-live it all over again through the telling!

Nope, I've always done my own, and for FREE!! I love my shirt too!! But that one I didn't do on my own. ;)

Landing in Florida sure made it VERY real. Other things along the way that helped make this trip more "real" were:

buying airline tickets

making and paying for the Resort ressies

making all the ADRs 180 days out

boarding each of my planes

landing in Florida

arriving at POP

Happy New Year to you too, Kathy!! I pray love, joy and peace reigns in your home this coming year!

On a bus from Mk to POP listening to YMCA, HOT, HOT, HOT, Bohemian Rhapsody, the Looney tunes theme and huffalumps and woozles at closing.
Thank heavens for notes. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Might I add this was after 2 Mai Tais at the Poly. So yeah, I was probably singing louder that I thought I was.:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

HAPPY NEW YEAR Liesa and all 7 of you.

Really!? You had 2 Mai Tais also?? I admit, that does tend to encourage excess amounts of singing. :rolleyes1

My favorite place to enjoy POP tunes? the 80s.

Ideed, I agree!

But Katharina showed me how it can be improved: use the "Mobile Discreet" setting (can be changed at the very bottom of the page in a drop down menu on the left). Much easier to navigate because less clutter. Of course you don't see signatures and such, but that also saves on data volume.

Thank you for the tip!!! That will help the overall speed of it I'm sure as well. I'll definitely try this out!

:lmao: SO FUNNY! You were dancing and singing to all those? I LOVE IT!!! Pop does have the best music. I still remember from our '08 trip, we only stayed there one night, and took 2 bus rides, but I heard "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" and was jamming out.

Liesa, great update! You look so cute in your TK Tie-Dye! And DD to boot! :woohoo: I've never actually tried their Latte, I'll have to change that.

How very, very cute of the older brother telling his younger siblings all about Disney. :lovestruc

Happy New Year! We watched 3 movies and ate left overs - romantic evening with just the two of us! We are the fuddiest duddies, but we are home safe!:thumbsup2 We saw Date Night, Grown-Ups, and Prince of Persia.
I think I liked Date Night the best.

Happy New Year to all !! Kyle and his cousin and Moi were the only ones home !!!I had to wake Kyle to see the Ball drop and then this morning he asked why I didn't wake him!!:rotfl2:

I may start my PTR for August very soon !!I will be looking for Tips on how to make The Sweet Sixteen Trip really special !!When it comes to "special" & "fun" this the thread to ask on!!! If I asked on Marv's He'd have Spoon Dancing,Piglet ideas !!:lmao:

Hey, I need to repot on our Settlers of Catan progress. We really like the game, and have played 3 times so far, including last night. Believe it or not, James won the first game, and I've won the last two. Marlene hasn't fared well and declared that she now doesn't like strategy games. Judy's only played one of the times and afterward said that she still doesn't "get it".

Sounds like us - our evening's festivities included watching John Wayne in "True Grit", then when we couldn't decide on another movie we watched an episode of NCIS that we had DVR-d. When that was done we watched a little bit of Pawn Stars until midnight...then Danny went and fiddled on his computer awhile (updating the counter on the Village website to account for the new year) while I watched more Pawn Stars and/or American Pickers. Our menu consisted of cheese, sausage & crackers, little weenies wrapped in crescent rolls, pickles and loaded, baked potato sticks. Gotta love a junk food filled night!
