There is more than one place to met certain chacters around the parks, but these are the places we met them and got there autographs

moved to the main DLP board for you :).

Coincidentally, we saw exactly 40 different characters too. :) And not all the same ones as you so there are a lot out there! :cheer2:

Wow thats fantastic!!! Printing this off for "operation character stalking march 13" :rolleyes1

Thanks so much for posting. Just finishing off DDs autograph book so this a massive help! So fab that you saw so many characters. :cool1:

Wow, that is some list :thumbsup2. Well done!

We have had similar good luck on previous trips but not this June, it was quite dire really how many characters were about during the week (not weekends). (Cherry, I think you were the same? Or am I thinking of someone else?).

A lot of it seems to depend on the time of year you go and just general luck. I suppose the positive way to look at it is, if you bump into random characters it's all part of the magic & pixie dust :wizard:

Just noticed a couple of spelling errors thanks to good old auto-correct :(

So...

Bury should read as Burt

Cruella de village should read as Cruella de vil

:rotfl2:

Yes you're right, DLP was a desert character-wise in June and July was no better - really disappointing. The few characters that did appear tended to get mobbed which prompted further reductions, for fear of their safety I think. They seem to have got the message now though that more characters thins the crowds and eases tension. After all meeting characters is a large part of the Disney experience for many people. Maybe we all complained through the after-trip surveys, I know I did, and they actually took notice!

We were certainly delighted by the number of characters out when we were there at the beginning of this month. I did make a list for myself (funny mine came to 40 as well) but have lost it now. I will go back and count up from my photos and see what extras I can add.

Cherry :goodvibes

Well, I've counted up again and it was actually 45 characters we met! Donald Duck's Wife met another 14 that we didn't but we met another 19 she hasn't mentioned:

Jasmine
Piglet
Rabbit
Lady Tremaine
Anastasia
Drizella
Captain Hook
Jafar
Dr Facillier
Gideon
Ratcliffe
Maleficent
Esmerelda
Clopin
Sally
Jack
Suzi
Perla
Baloo

So that's at least 59 characters out there for the asking folks! I can think of a few more we saw from a distance but didn't meet so it seems to be a great time if you're going soon. :thumbsup2

Thanks for your replies - I thought it was you who went around the same time as us in June but I sometimes get muddled up :p.

I hope that you are right about it being better now - we still had a good time in June but even my 7 year old noticed a lack of characters around (thank goodness we did 5 character meals!!). Having said that, I do wonder whether there have been so many characters around in the last few weeks because it is Halloween season? Hopefully Christmas will be good too - I think you are going back then too aren't you? :rotfl2:

It's not a big thing to some people and some go just to meet the characters and don't bother with the rides - we like a bit of both ;). That's the nice thing about Disney parks - they are unique and offer something to everyone :thumbsup2.

Just looked on the "When everyone's going..." thread and we will be there at the same time again! :wave2:

I'm sure you are right about a lot of the characters around at the moment being special to the Halloween season. You don't see many of the villains out of that season and apart from Beast-as-Prince when Belle's Village was up and running and Santa of course I can't think of any extra Christmas characters. Duffy I suppose too. There are plenty of characters who wear Christmas outfits but it would be nice to have a few new ones. Still, even removing the villains leaves quite a long list so I am hoping we will have plenty to meet. Like you we like a balance of both characters and rides. Very envious of five character meals! :)

Jack & Sally are the ones that are making me excited - so pleased they are finally getting a showing at Christmas. Wonder if Jack will be in his Santa suit ;).

Actually, think I miscounted - it was 4 meals in 5 days :lmao:. I am pleased we did it that way though as at least the girls still managed to fill an autograph book despite there being a lack of random characters out and about :thumbsup2. And we got to do the lovely Cowboy Cookout character meal before it ends :sad1:.

Gosh, there are quite a few of us going that weekend from here - think it might be a bit busy.... :rolleyes1

I will look out for you and your lovely Oliver :santa:.

I keep forgetting about Jack and Sally being there! :rolleyes2 It will be great to see them in Christmas mode. :yay:

We may be heavily disguised in cold weather layers :rotfl2: but if you do spot us, come up and say hi! We'd love to see you. :goodvibes

We visited DLP in March this year and never saw Gaston - my DB is SO upset he seems to be appearing everywhere now. I've read on other boards that people have met him.

He is his favourite character, he thinks Gaston is the hero, not Beast! Eurgh! *rollseyes* LOL

Of course Cherry - I will keep my eye out for your group :goodvibes You probably won't be able to miss us either - 4 adults (DH, my parents & me) and my 2 little Princesses (not sure yet if I am taking any Princess dresses as I'm not sure they'll get to wear them because of coats/layers - might take one or two and see how it goes - they could always put them over the top of their clothes in restaurants). Actually, I should think we'll be on BTM mostly if the girls have anything to do with it :rotfl2:. So probably hanging around Frontierland :thumbsup2.
