Oh boy were our Dole Whips Yummy!!!!

We're beginning to drag...

We'd been going and going for the past 2 days...

But

We have had soooo much fun. What a fabulous trip we're having.

I didn't want Barbra to miss any parades... so it's time for

"Celebrate A Dream Come True Parade"

We made our way over to FrontierLand and found a perfect spot for the parade... We're sitting on the sun side but I didn't care and neither did the girls. We we're sitting!!!!

Uh oh! I'm probably posting right in the middle of your update again. You are certainly on a roll!

Love the pictures of the parade.

I can't believe how LONG the wait was for Pirates. Wow! I've stood in some lines there, but never waited that long. sheesh! It is a fun ride though. One of my favs.

Hope Splash comes back up soon. I got soaked on it in June but I didn't care because it was HOT!

I forgot to mention earlier - I can't believe that little girl was licking the drain. O M G! So gross!

That parade was fabulous!!!! Although it did remind me of the Dream's Come True Parade, expecially the floats... But I loved it... and Barbra and Rae loved it tooo. so YES!!!!! A Big hit...

Guess Where we are off tooo.

YES!!!

Splash Mountain... Time to see if it's up and running again...

So off we gooooooooooooooo,

As fast as we can...

YES!!!!!

It's up and running and yes, we just walked and walked and walked right pass everyone and right onto the ride.

Oh how I love Fast Passes!!!!

We were on the ride in a hop skip and a jump!!!

Here we go!!!!

Did they get wet????

We got on the ride and off this ride in a 15 minute period... Yes!!!!

It was so much fun! The girls really loved this ride.

After Splash Mountain we wondered over to Mickey's Philarmagic...

While I headed over to MP the girls ran over to Space Mountain for a Quick FP... Then on over in line for MP... We had lots of fun in line. We had to sit in the que line area before you enter into the lobby of the theatre, and while we were sitting there (We could have stood but we just decided to sit; a little more comfortable) behind us in line was a family with maybe 6 kids, I kind of think they were cousins... But we sat down and decided to dig into the back pack for some snacks. Well we ended up sharing our twizzler and gold fish all these really cute kids. We had so much fun with them. We had new friends for life...

We finally got into the Theatre for the show... This show is fabulous... If you ever decided to skip this show well you have really missed out on something fabulous... I love the music, I love Donald, I love the songs... I love watching it in 3D, ok I love everything about it...

and Yes Barbra it too...

Checking out the new sights... I'm so excited for the new Beast Castle... and all the other new stuff that coming with it. This expansion is huge... I mean hugggggeeeeee.

After Mickey's Philarmagic it was time to check out the new stuff... or at least check out the new wall....

Because really that's all you can see. I don't know why they don't make the wall see through.
I know! Wouldn't that be awesome to see what's going on behind the huge wall...
Again, I'm thinking Disney should allow us to see...

Yes, I'm one of those that reads the back on the book first...
or
I love to watch the end of the movie before I watch the beginning...

So yes, seeing behind the wall would be fabulous..


So on to the new stuff... and some good ole old stuff...

We had lots of fun on Carousel of Progress...

Now it was time to show Barbra

Monster's Inc... Laughing Floor...

Such a cute show...

We hurried over there hopeing that we would be in the middle of it all

Well....

We were just about the last 3 people in the door so we were sitting way up at the top... I wanted to be right in all the action. On Rae's last trip to Disney she was the one that danced and they also txt'd in a question for them to read... So I want Barbra to be in the action. But no... We sat way up at the top... But it didn't matter, we laughed and laughed and laughed. It was so much fun.

After MI...LF, we decided to ride "It's a Small World after all"

Nice way to rest your tired foot... Or at least my hurting foot...

We sat down right on the bridge heading towards the Castle on Main Street... We got there at 7:55, and parade starts at 9:00 yes... You have to get there early... Seats are going crazy... I mean Crazy... People are Crazy... But well worth waiting for. We had a fabulous spot.

The drive from TX is a LONG one!! We have done it several times now. Once you are finally out of TX, it seems to go a bit faster! We always like to stop and see the worlds largest gummy bear and drive thru Carls Jr. for lunch. (Although it is called something different in LO, or AL, where ever ir is we stop.)

Really enjoying your trip report! It's so much fun to bring someone for their first visit!! Looking forward to more of your adventure!!

Our next trip is in Sept. The four of us, my daughter, my 2 grandsons and I will be traveling in my daughters new Fiat 500. I think we will have to take a couple of extra stretch breaks!

CoP is one of our favs. Although their photography policy is weird. They always say no "flash" photography, but nail you if you even take your picture out for a 'Non-flash" pic. I love looking at the scenes. Nice pics.

You also great some great pictures from the People Mover. The castle looks so pretty at dusk.

Where's the World Largest Gummy Bear... Rae wants to go and check it out!!!

Oh my lands... you will need lots of stops for Stretch Breaks... But you will be styling as you drive down I10... I love that little car... One of Rae's friends has it.

Yes, I does seem like you drive forever in Texas... But then again, I do live in Northwest West Texas... Way over here... and it's forever to just get to Houston and then it goes forever to still get out of Texas... But we love driving it. Again, it was lots of fun to take Meghan along She's never been in that direction at all.

Main Street Electric Parade

I was going to sing...

Seventy - Six Trombones lead the big parade, with a Hundred and Ten Cornets Close at Hand...

But I'm really afraid I'll be singing that all day long.

Oh well.

It's time for one of the most Magical Parades in the park...



ok not really Off Topic but...

It's so much fun to see Disney through someone elses eyes, and especially when it's their first time...

and so watching the parades and fireworks through Meghan's eyes, is so much fun. Especially since the firework shows she's see is our 4th of July show here in town... It's not a lot to write home about. But at least they try and we do have a fireworks show.

But....

Disney does EVERYTHING over the top.... YES!!!! I'm so glad they do...

So now it's time for a Parade...

We got our fabulous seats... and we planted ourselves right there. Sitting right behind 2 couples. Perfect.... They knew what to do... So we were set.

So we waited our long hour. I will say... The rest was a much needed rest for the hurting foot.

The parade was awesome. But I sure miss SpetroMagic...

Now it's time for Fireworks...

We slowly started moving towards the castle... As they continued to pack us together tighter and tighter...

Although the girls were loving it... They spotted a group of young men... (Boys) who looked like soccer players... and finally we were right next to them.. Thanks to Mom - the wingmen... Of course the Young men noticed these really fabulous looking Young Ladies... and they all started talking...

Bingo!!! They found some really cute guys to chat with for a few minutes..

But now it's show time.

I video recorded "Wishes" so sorry no pictures...

Wishes was fabulous... As a matter of fact, as I'm sitting here writing this post I'm watching it on my DVD...

PLANS!!!!

No we had decided to make a plan...

This was during "Wishes" - The plan was that we would DASH as fast as we could back over to Space Mountain...

We had a Fast Pass to use...

So after "Wishes"... and flirting with the boys.

Which the boys decided that they would race us to SM... Race these 2 girls.. Good luck...

And their off.....

Meghan's in the lead... Right behind her is Rae and taking up the rear... is yes... The slow one... MOM... (Hurting Foot) I was trying to keep up. Plus... Meghan was dashing here and there, dashing around people with her sweet manners... saying, Excuse me... Excuse me... Excuse me.. and you get the pictures... But off we went up to the hub and making a turn towards TomorrowLand... Excuse me.. Excuse me.

Boy I'm trying to keep up... She's quick. Finally we're in the opening and we're off... The race is on... But guess who won. MEGHAN and RAE... Those soccer boys couldn't keep up with those fast girls

was it because we had the Fast Pass...

The boys didn't have a FP so stand by line they went and we were heading up the FP line and onto the space ship we went...

High Fives all around... YES!!! We made it. By the way we never saw these Soccer boys again. Dang.. The girls were looking for them but nope.

Space Mountain was great... But it was time for some food. It was getting late and I wasn't sure if anything was open but Cosmic Rays was... Not alot to choose from but we found something to eat... Hot Dogs and Chicken.

Yummy!!!

Finally we were done... We were worn out. My foot was killing me... We'd been going since 7:00am Time to head home.

So we wonder back up to the front gate and Yes, the parade was going on again and we finally made our way through the crowds and out the park we went.

BYE to Magic Kingdom... so sad... We want see you again until next year.

I wanted to get all emotional but the girls wouldn't let me...

On over to the REALLY long line for the Monorail... Time to ride the last fun ride at the park. Just for Meghan. We got in line at 11:15 and we were on the Monorail in 15 minutes WOW that was amazing. I would have thought we would have waited in line for 30 to 45 minutes but no 15 minutes. The monorail can hold lots of people more than I thought...

Finally to Tammy (the car) and inside we climb... Really worn out and on out of the parking lot we went... Back to the Resort before we knew it and in our room. BAAM 12:15.. Time for Bed...

What a fabulous day in Magic Kingdom...

I think we rode every ride in the park that we wanted to... Except Big Thunder Mountain.. But it was closed for Referb. I really think Meghan could have riden Splash Mountain over and over. That was her favorite...

Day 6 - Thursday
Nothing Happened this day...


I know... It's so weird. I don't have any notes from this day and just a few pictures...

Now my orginal plan way back when I started planning this trip and buying park tickets was to spend the day at Animal Kingdom... Festival of the Lion King... Nemo the Musical... Espedition Everest. or do shopping and job prospects and look at more town houses...

but

I do remember what we did...

or didn't do...

This was the day that the Princess got very mad at me. I had suggested earlier in the week that maybe on Thursday we head over to Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach and spend the day on the beach... We'll that was my mistake.. I should have thought it through a little better... Because Fear got in my way.

Earlier in the week it was a really great thought but as the week went on, I couldn't do it. I got really worried about going over there. As you know, it is spring break and it is Florida... Well, I couldn't explain that to the girls. Meghan would have understood, maybe, but the Princess wouldn't have. She just doesn't understand how busy it would be over there and how crowded it would have been. Plus. I was really afraid it would have been a huge party and I wasn't up for that. Fighting the crowds and stuff

So

I used the really good excuse of we just don't have enough money to do it... Plus we still had other things that we needed to do in Orlando. Like look for a huge store that carries all the lines of jewelry that I'm use to selling and get the scoop on it. Which is one of the reason's why we came to Orlando was for me to be able to scoop out the stores so I might be able to find a job there... Plus places to live... and just drive around and see the area and get a good feel for the city... Big City...

Well, I just made Rae sooooooooo mad.... I mean soooo mad.... She just didn't understand.

"You got Barbra's hopes up for going to the beach" (She's never been to the beach)

"I'm really sorry but we can't"

Well from that point on... She was pissed...

Back to Day 6 - Thursday

So I do know, that we did sleep in that morning...

And after our yummy cokes and snacks we did wondered back over to look at some of the town houses again that I loved...

After looking at these Town Homes, we made our way to the really nice department store and wondered in for some jewelry shopping..

Yes... Love to Jewelry Shop. Expecially when we're just looking... I love to see what I don't have in my store that they have or what I have that they don't have...

Now, I really tried to get Rae to participate in my shopping but she was to mad at me to even talk to me.

But after Shopping at this department store, we headed over to Target... I forgot my swim suit. So I needed a swim suit for our afternoon of just enjoying our fabulous pool at the resort.

I picked out a swim suit. Picked up some sunscreen and off we went... It was lunch time and I needed something to eat or at least a coke. We decided on a hamburger and Eric had told us about 5 Guys Burger, so we made our way back over to the one that would have been by his old apartment...

We found it...

So we get up to the counter to order...

and

(Now we've never had 5 Guys Burger's)

Barbra goes first...

#1 with cheese, ff and a coke

Rae goes next

#1 no cheese, ff and a coke

my turn...

#1 no cheese, ff and a coke...

the lady ask, "Are you sure you want that many French Fries?"

I'm confused

"Yes, I'm thinking"

She says. "Do you know that they come in this really big cup all the way full and we even but extra's on top!!"

"Ummmmm, No" we said...

She said, " you should probably cut back on one of your order of FF because you'll just have lots of extra FF."

Okay, were thinking...

WELL!!!! If any of you have ever had 5 guys Burger's well then you know what she's talking about....

and Yes, we had tons of FF left over...

After lunch we made our way back to the resort. Time for the pool and for me to just let the girls be by themselves... Rae was just really fussy... ok Really mad...

I put on my new Swim Suit and on down to the pool I went... It was time for a Rum Punch or some sort with a really cute umbrella in it and some fruit...

Bingo... I got me something...

I sat by the pool for awhile and here they finally came. They had their swim suits on and they were ready for some sun.

We enjoyed the sun most of the afternoon. The girls did their own thing and I did mine.

After pool time we decided to get dress and find us a really great place for dinner. Seafood of some sort. After driving around for awhile. We found Landry's. Now we've had Landry's in Galveston and Corpus Christi, so we knew we were in for a treat. Yummy Yummy... Dinner was great, but it was like a meat locker in there. It was so cold... So needless to say, we ate pretty fast and made our way back home. Everyone need to organize their stuff and get it backed and ready to roll tomorrow.

We made our way back to the resort. One last time...

The Princess was still really grumpy... But there is lots more to this story...

We all watched TV and off to sleep we went.

DAY 7 - Friday
Downtown Disney

It's a SAD DAY!!!!! Such a SAD DAY!!!!

I'm not ready to go home... Although it's been a really long trip...

Lots of things that we needed to do on this trip, looking at houses, DisneyWorld (make sure Meghan saw every part of it ) and sometimes we didn't do things that we wanted to do...

It was also an emotional trip for Rae... This was another reason why she got so upset with me...

Her boyfriend that she had been dating for many month's, decided that he would break up with her on our drive to Orlando.

AND yes,

he did it by a txt... ARE YOU KIDDING ME...

I just wanted to shoot him... He made our trip really lousy...

But I'm really proud of her, she made the best of it. But she was crying inside all the time... and she had lots of small break downs.

Also... There were times when we had melt downs just like families with a 3 year old. Yes, my sweet princess acted like a 3 year old sometimes. She just really likes to have her way. She got really upset with me over the beach thing... Which I shouldn't have told them about it earlier in the week and just surprised them with it if it would have worked out.

but, no I made the mistake of telling her, and you know the rest of the story...

So It was time to go...

Time to head home...

We were up by 7:30 and we checked out by 9:30.

Time for Downtown Disney... Time to put our feet on Disney Grounds one last time... Plus, we still had lots of shopping to do...

Downtown Disney

We made our way over to the West Side of Downtown Disney before we spent all of our savings at World of Disney Store...

so I decided that I would take them up in the air balloon... What a fabulous idea. It was so awesome... You could see forever!!!!!

Fabulous Girls!!!!

Day 7 - Friday
Downtown Disney & Driving Home

After the fabulous Balloon ride. Which I highly recommend... Although it's kind of expensive... But such an awesome sight.

We headed over to World of Disney...

We decided not to shop while we were in the parks, we didn't want to have to keep up with the bags and I knew that we would hit DD before we left town on Friday...

So off we went...

Barbra and Rae went there way... and I went mine...

I think we spent about an hour and half in there... but we left with fabulous gifts for our family and friends...

I always like to get something that means something special for each trip and so for Rae we got her STITCH pillow pet... and for Meghan we got her Minnie...

I also got me a fabulous t-shirt and lots of great things...

We left Downtown Disney right at noon, we need to fill our tummy's before we hit the road. So on over to Chick - Fil - A for lunch..

We had a fabulous lunch and now it was time to hit the highway with one more trip past Disney...

Here' the girls with their new goodies...

The Princess was very mad at me for taking this pictures... and as you can see she was still very grumpy and very tired... But it's been a really fun and busy week... So we were all really tired and I still had lots of driving to do.

We finally hit the highway around 12:45....

I think the girls were asleep by 1:00...

There was lots of traffic... Surprise, Surprise, Surprise...

WE made the turn west around 3:00 and we were West Bound from there...

All the way across the Florida Panhandle... We snacked in the car... Ran into a couple of construction areas... but for the most part we made it to Biloxi, Mississippi by 10:15...

WOW, What a long day!!!!!

Day 8 - Saturday

Day 8 - Saturday
Driving...


We didn't sleep in this morning, we had some long roads ahead of us and I knew that the girls could sleep in the car and I could just drive and drive...

When we got up the fog was on the ground... There was no way I was going to drive in fog...

So we hung around for awhile..

Finally we hit the road, somewhere around 9:00

The fog was still pretty thick in some areas but probably after we passed Gulf Shores and the Gulf got a little further from us the fog was gone.

Driving down the road...

Bumper to bumper traffic... Everyone was from Texas...

We made it to Lafayette, Louisiana for a turn north and lunch.

We stopped at Chili's!!!! oh that was so yummy....

Then back on the road we went.

Straight north to Alexandria - then a great big turn west on I-20... Which heads straight for my house....

We made it to Dallas and then on to Fort Worth by 6:00

We had planned on having In and Out Burger's in Arlington. But no... Everyone wanted to keep on moving.... Down the road we went...

We pulled up at Meghan's house by 9:45, YES!!!!!

and our house by 10:00

What a trip...
What a fabulous time...
I can't believe we made it...
Time to go back..

Wow what an amazing trip we had so much fun...

Meghan had the time of her life... Although I can remember telling her be prepared for going and going and going...

But the whole trip was fabulous...
We had some rough spots but that was all due to the BF...

After we got home we had some major decessions to make...

Where to live
How to find a job
Or just should we do it.

After we got back, Charlie (My Husband) took a new job in the San Antonio area, which has been hard for us. But well worth it. And with him doing this we just knew that we now needed to make some huge decessions.

So Rae and I talked and talked and talked about us moving to Orlando and decided that she just wasn't ready for this... She has the talent but just not the maturity for it. One of the things that we noticed on this trip was the performers in the parades or shows were a few years older then Rae and so she felt as though she wasn't old enough for the move.

So after lots of talking we decided to stay in our home town. But that meant making lots of changes in our lives too. We also still had to move so the other big decisions was should I stay in our town or move to where my husband is... This was a really tough decision because I have a fabulous job and I felt really secure here... Even though Orlando was going to be a really big move, I still felt as though staying in our town would be the best thing for me right now. So we stayed in our little town..

But the move that I made has really taken lots of presure and stress off of my life... Thank you Lord for helping me to do this... and it has help me to prepare better for moving to Orlando some time in the future... If those doors are ever opened for us.

Rae still plans on working for Disney!!!! She would still like to apply for the college program and give that a try... All the things that we have read and seen, seam to be such a fabulous program. Living in the dorms and getting to know so many people..

Charlie and I still plan on cruising to the Bahamas but we decided to wait until January... That's my birthday...

But I'm thinking I need to sneak in a quick trip to Orlando somewhere in there... I'm sure missing me some Disney...
