Me too Phillies fan here!!! It's been way too long since our last World Series. I am really hoping this is the year.

OH I care!!! We are going all the way baby

Looking back to the beginning of this thread I see I was right - PHILLIES ARE DOING IT!!!!!!!!

Once all the "expected" to win teams lost this thread almost died out. Almost no one here was predicting the Phils. I am just so excited. I was 12 the last time we won a World Series.

Go Phillies - YOU ROCK!!!!!

Well our (the Rays) backs are to the wall but I still have hope!

The Phillies pitching has been fantastic, just fantastic and I'm impressed by their demeanor when they were having hitting problems. They just kept trying until it worked. Very impressive indeed!

On the bad side, these umpires are a disgrace (both ways). They have missed calls that just shouldn't be missed and these calls have been at crucial times for both teams. Shame on MLB.

On the bad side. WTH is this 8:30 starting time? Do they not want young fans to watch? Have they just caved to the Networks for a few bucks? Shame on MLB and Bud Selig, please leave...Now.

On the bad side. The Phillies fans who treated the Rays families so bad in game 3 that most did not go to last nights game for fear. A nine year old son of one of the players had a beer dumped over his hear (on purpose). Young children (of families) were cursed at directly, one brother of a player was trapped in a bathroom stall for 20 minutes while "fans" pounded on the door and threatened him and on and on.

I know all Phillies fans aren't this way and I know there are Rays fans, Red Sox Fans and Rockies fans who do the same thing but Philadelphia seems to revel in this behavior and the security just doesn't seem to care. More people were ejected from the admittedly less rowdy Trop in one game than will be ejected from Philly in all three (barring big changes tonight). Shame on the Phillies for allowing this to happen.

Peter Pirate - I couldn't agree more with your post. The umps have been very wrong - on both sides - esp when they called Rollins safe at third.

I have been impressed with players on both sides. Dodgers I did not care for at all - esp. their temper tantrums. The only thing the Rays do that bother me is all the spitting - but that's only a few of them.

Yes some Philly fans are horrible - esp the Eagles fans - much worse. I'm sorry that happened to your friends. Not all of us are like that.

The start time stinks!!! I agree my 12 year old is bummed when he has to go to bed. He sees most of it but he does miss the end. NOT TONIGHT though. Tonight is it. I feel it. Now if the teachers would give less homework I'd be happy.

We didn't get picked either... which is fine, because I just don't think we'd survive one more late night! We're still not right from the first two games.

I agree with everything that has been said... bad start time, bad umps... great baseball, great teams. I sure hope our Rays can pull out the miracle tonight, but if they can't... they lost to an amazing baseball team. And for us to go from worst to the WS is just fantastic all by itself.

As for Philly Phans... I was astonished by what I saw at the Trop. So many ejections! And the PRIDE at being ejected?! Friends snapping pictures and cheering as a member of their group was being escorted out in handcuffs. I just don't get it. But, most of us who live in Florida moved here to be more laid back, so maybe it's us who are different.

So this rain delay thing... Good or bad for Philly?

Sad, but I've been noticing how ESPN has been doing more coverage on the '08 World Series regarding the rain delay, than the previous 4 games. (???)

I don't think it's good or bad. We only have to win 1 game in the next three. I think we will do it.

i am bummed that the rain gets more coverage than the Phils themselves.

Is the Obama infomercial, I mean speech tonight live or taped? I really hope they don't let him go over, and delay the start even more

OMG - it better not go over. i will be so mad. It's bad enough we miss the pre-game stuff. We have been waiting for another WS playoff for 15 years and the night we might clinch it we go that infomercial.
