I dont get how these people are suppose to pick the right songs. Most are amateurs right? So how do they really know what they sing the best....Confused

I agree. These kids weren't around in the 70's. If someone told me to pick a song from a decade 20 years before I was born, I probably wouldn't even know a song, let alone pick one that suited me.

I also hate how contradictory the judges are. You picked a song over your head -- challenge yourself -- you need to sing different genres -- you should stick with that genre it's better suited for you.
Honestly, I don't know how these contestants deal with that.

After last night, I'm really not enjoying the girls. I found this week far more entertaining than 60's week, but man...most of the girls just plain butchered their songs. YIKES! I'm really hoping Amanda goes home. I can't stand to hear her voice one more night...or see her hair.

On a side note, I was happy to see that Kristy's crazy eyes were gone this week. Not sure if anyone mentioned it last week, but she kept doing some funky things w/ her eyes last week. It was really distracting and somewhat disturbing.

Wow I hope you feel better!! My wife is just getting over the Flu and Pneumonia. Crazy girl kept going to work too. i just went to the doctor today too HE VIOLATED ME. I wasnt sure if I should hug him or send him flowers. I even had to pay him.... I am not 40 years old yet I thought I wasnt suppose to get that till 40...I have 6 more years before 40. I need a hug and a cigarette after that. Geez....Kidney problems I have Polycistic Kidney Disease so anytime I have well we will just say problems I have to go to the doctor. Wife wouldnt touch me till I got checked.....

anyway had to Tivo the girls had to work last night getting ready to watch will tell you how much I like Kristy, Kady and Alaina when I am done....

Speaking of the IBWs: My GUESS is that 2 will stay for the 12 and two will go. I'd guess which two but I STILL cannot tell them apart???

Somewhat big Idol news according to mjsbigblog...the Top 12 will sing The Beatles. While they sang Beatles songs in the finale last year, apparently, the John Lennon and Paul McCartney songbook has been opened...

That somehow doesn't shock me. What a mess that girl was last night! I though they were all horrible but that was truly hideous. I hated her last week and I was hoping she'd prove me wrong this time around, but she just BUTCHERED that song! She sang horribly and looked even worse. It's her time to go.

The only one I liked last night was Brooke. That was the perfet song for her and she sounded great! Did it sound just like the original? Sure, but sounding anything like Carly Simon isn't exactly a bad thing.

I hope Amanda and... anyone but Brooke go home tonight.

I don't think it was so much her Looks, as the way she was moving.

Yeah, Tammie, if the AI catchphrase for this season WERE true, AI wouldn't need to bludgeon us repeatedly with said catchphrase to try to convince us of its truthfulness.

We would be able to come to the same conclusion all on our own . or NOT .

I will miss tonight's reveal though. I'm attending a REAL concert with REAL singers with REAL talent.
Many performers at my DD's school could wipe the floor with this season's crop of AI-pretenders.

Carly - I never noticed the accent before. I wonder if thats what was throwing me off with her. I actually like her tonight I dont mind tats but its too much on her arm. I wish she would cover it up some. She is kinda cute though. Pretty eyes.

Syesha - The baby cry was spooky. She is very pretty too. Just dont like her hair. Beautiful complexion. Vocally she is OK no WOW factor. just OK

Brooke - Havent decided if she is hot or not...hate the song as Simon said before "I was put off by it from the start"...Like Matthews and Kates version alot better.... She is ok I guess least favorite so far. dont agree with judges.

Ramiele - BAD BAD BAD...she is a sweetie but I dont like her singing at all.

Kristy Lee - She is hot just like Keri Russell is hot. I thought she sang pretty good. I think the song should have been a bit faster. I like her though. love a tomboy. Especially one that can fix up like that. I agree with Simon she is country. She has a bit of twang to her voice. How could she do Country during 70's week? Could she have sang some Dolly or something?

Amanda - I liked her in the auditions and I am not a rocker at all. She doesnt have the greatest voice but she has spunk and she is confident. I like confidence. She is fun. WOW did you see her mom she is hot. I agree with Paula I would like to see her toned down. I think she would be gorgeous.

Alaina - I am the same way with my food. If something touches I wont eat it. I have to eat one thing at a time. I wont take bites of several different things. Weird I know. If its runny and has liquid I have to get it on a side dish. Drives Applebees crazy cause If I ask for it on the side and its not I will send it all back. ANYWAY she looks alot like Carrie Underwood but not as good a voice. I think she messed up that song from a great movie. She is still HOT.

Alexandrea - She talks like she has a runny nose. Hate the song and she is not singing well. Is she Sick for real? not good at all. at least she was a good sport about it. In life you have to be able to laugh at yourself. She won points with me for that. I hope the underdog statement wasnt a racist type comment. not sure what she meant by that.

I dont get it when they say " YOU ARE RELEVENT AND IMPORTANT IN THIS COMPETITION" that is the stupidest thing they say.

Kady - HOT HOT HOT. and she does have a great voice. She is funny. Hot and Funny. A rare combo. I hate this song. I wonder if Britney would wear that dress. That song doesnt fit her at all. man she is HOT. beautiful smile. She is a good singer. Bad bad song choice I hoe she stays around for a few more weeks. I needed a picture of her at the doctors office this morning. She makes anything pleasureable. I love the Britney voice it gives me chills cause I love Britney. My screensaver is 2000 Britney Pics. Dang Kevin Federline.

Asia'H - I think when there were talking the best talent ever they were talking about the hotness of these girls. They are all good looking. This is probably the worst performance of the night. just bad. don't agree with Paula and Randy she was not good.

Personally, I can't stand Asia'h's husky voice...I'm ready for her to impress me, but I'm not a big fan of raspiness in singers.

Same here...and when she completely missed that one note, that was bad.

Unfortunately last night my dvd didn't record for me, so I didn't get to see the girls perform. I did however, find 7 of the 10 performances on youtube. The ones that I saw didn't have as good of quality as on tv, and most of them didn't show the judges comments. So I really don't know who was good last night, or who the judges liked/disliked.

As for who should go home, I think it should be either 2 blondes (don't care which one), or 1 blonde and Alexandrea. Either way, between this week and next week, 3 of the blondes and Alexandrea should go home. I know at least one blonde will make it because I think it's like a requirement to have at least one!

As for the guys, I'm still going with who should have gone home last week: Luke and Chikezie. Luke is just not good and I personally do not find him attractive at all. And Chikezie is just annoying and his attitude stinks.
