Somebody = ME! I didn't post his name because I couldn't remember it but I did post that he didn't make the top 24 only because I didn't think it was a spoiler since this contestant has gone PUBLIC on their myspace page and in the MEDIA telling EVERYONE that would listen why he didn't make it to the top 24.

I think during the auditions Simon has been much nicer this year than in years past.

Not all of us read all the media reports so we're not all "in the loop"....

I don't see anything Idol-related unless it's on the show.

Right after the top 24 spoilers came out about a week ago, I know I read more than once the comments of this contestant....now, I can't find them anywhere -weird.

I think Simon has been nicer to try to thwart the VFTW crowd, and the like. I think if he tries to show that there is nobody he truly dislikes, they'll have a harder time picking a new "Sanjaya".

As for spoilers...I hope we don't have to worry about that once we get to the nitty gritty of the show.

The biggest spoilers we get during the show are songs they sing and Dial Idol. Heck half the time the songs were wrong last year.

Well, I'm happy auditions are over...can't stand the month's worth of bad folk.

So far in this episode...love the Carole King vibe from Brooke White, but I thought her vocals were just ok.

Liked the guy that sang "Love the One You're With," but I couldn't stand the growls he threw in every now and then...

BTW...for you Melinda fans (although I don't think there were a huge number of you here last year), she just released a single - "My Funny Valentine" - on iTunes. It's pretty good...kind of an "old school" late 80s/early 90s smooth jazz feel to it. Come on, somebody sign her to a record deal already!

glad to back this year....see if I can cause some problems like last season...LOL....I wish they did alot more of Hollywood week I really like...I would rather see more of that than the city auditions....JMHO

Amanda Overmeyer - AKA "The Singing Nurse" - I'm sensing an early favorite for me here, although I agree with Simon that the voice could get old quick if it stays the same old, same old every time...

Josiah - To me, he's okay, but he seems like I could see him in any bar. And the accent when he sings bothers me.

Ramiele (sp?) - in the little bit that we saw of her, she's infinitely better than Jasmine Trias who they compared her to in the audition rounds

Carly Smithson - Not sure I'm a big fan...she sounded okay in the brief bit that they showed.
